Breed: German Wirehaired Pointer

German Wirehaired Pointer

It was an honour for me to judge this wonderful breed at the Championship Show in Blackpool. I would like to thank all the exhibitors for giving me such a good entry as I was told it was the highest entry of the year so far. I am very fond of the breed and found many wonderful specimens during the day. In general I could just say as a comment that I found quite a few rather soft coats, which is not very typical for the breed as the name indicates. I was so delighted that my BOB winner went all the way to the top in afternoon by winning the Gundog Group under the highly respected Mike Gadsby of the Afterglow fame.
