Windsor 2022-Manchester Terriers

I always enjoy judging the Manchesters. We were blessed with good weather and a large ring which meant that I could really see the dogs striding out.

Interestingly both CC winners and the two lovely veterans were all sired by Ch Westbank Blue Diamond for Talanors. His offspring have done well under me before and he seems to produce a type that catches my eye. Worth his weight I would think!

Two good ones to start the day, both of whom have done well under me in the past.

1st: CAWLEY, Miss Bethany Ch Marlablue in a Twirl Sh.CM VW- super feminine girl who possesses a good outline, lovely head and is sound with good carriage. For perfection there could be a little more of her.

2nd:WALSHAW, Mr & Mrs M & J Ch CH TALANORS DIAMONDS N' DREAMS AVEC JANMARK (JW) - masculine boy who scores in substance, well headed and in super hard condition. A close contest.

This was an interesting class to sort out with things to like on all the exhibits.

1st: WARNER, Mr Frank & WARNER, Mrs Pam Talanors Time For Fun-this boy took my eye on first look. Lovely size as he is masculine but not coarse, good head proportions and good ears. Eye could be a little darker. Steady on the move when he settled. Correct tan markings and clearly has a stamp of quality. Was delighted to award him the CC.

2nd: OXLEY, Mr M, Mrs G M & Miss S R Ch Digelsa Double Agent- this boy also caught my eye on first inspection. Cracking head and lovely ears. Good outline, steady on the move and holds himself well. There is just a little bit too much of him for me and not as steady in front as the winner. He is clearly of champion grading and pleased to award him the Res CC.

3rd: BARLOW, Mrs Doreen Talanors Time For Magic

I really enjoyed sorting these youngsters out. Full of the joys of spring and lots of developing to do.

1st: SHARPE, Mrs V & SHARPE, Miss Laura Rosettia Keepsake-the outline of this girl caught my eye both standing and moving. Held herself really well. In lovely condition and her head is developing well. Ears still need to settle slightly but she is a real baby. Best puppy

2nd: WALSHAW, Mr & Mrs M & J Kentwone Lyra at Janmark- more forward than the winner and well schooled. In beautiful hard condition. Did not quite match the winner for outline on the move but is a promising puppy.

3rd: SPAIN, Mrs A & SPAIN, Mr L Nespoli You Are My Sunshine

Class 935 JB (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st SHARPE, Mrs V & SHARPE, Miss Laura Rosettia Keepsake-winner of puppy class

2nd: PARKER, Mrs Lydia Patricia & PARKER, Mr Dennis Rattustrap Hazy Jane – decent size, okay in outline. Is a little sluggish on the move which is where the puppy scored.

1st: OXLEY, Mr M, Mrs G M & Miss S R Black Bandits Anything Goes at Digelsa (IMP DEU)- this girl was the best type in the class and her type caught my eye straight away. Has substance and bone without being coarse. Lovely outline. Was a little unsettled. When she settles to the job she should have a bright future as she is sound.

2nd: FORSHAW, Mr Peter & FORSHAW, Mrs Janet JANDOR MOONLIGHT MELODY-not quite the substance of the winner but a decent enough sort. Settled as the class went on.

3rd: HELLER, Miss W & HOUSE, Ms E Marlablue Mcqueen of Floreydown

I enjoyed sorting out these girls.

1st: KNIGHT, Mrs Gillian & KNIGHT, Mr Clive Ch Talanors Typically Special- super type of Manchester. Possesses a lovely head and good outline. Projects herself when standing and looks good in profile on the move. Moves well in all directions. Was delighted to award her the CC and BOB.

2nd: WALSHAW, Mr & Mrs M & J Janmark Jaunty- great performance from this girl as she has attitude to die for. Looked right back at me on the table. Good size, not quite the outline of the winner but is a quality girl. Well deserved the Res CC.

3rd: STRAUGHAN, Mrs C & CRIPPS, Mr D Talanors Time To Shine At Mannikai
