WKC CH SHOW

Chesapeake Bay Retrievers

VD (0). PD (1) 1 Murray’s Muireatai Teris Love, promising young dog of 8 months who moved OK for age, put down in good correct coat, correct topline & tailset, which can be carried slightly high at times through the excitement of being at the show. Masculine head & expression, with a good neck & forequarters, he is quality & should have a good future. JD (0). PGD (1) 1 Rigby’s Chesepi Ulysses, sand who at nearly 6 should be more settled on the move, he was really enjoying his time in the ring which made it difficult to assess his movement, enough coat which was correct, masculine head & expression with well set & carried ears, good neck & shoulders, good ribcage & strong loin, when set up gave a good outline with the correct topline. LD (5) 1 Murch & Mayhew’s Next Generations Arnac Arctic Storm, not an overlarge dog but so well made & moving so well, masculine head & expression, excellent neck, shoulders, topline & tailset, put down in excellent coat & condition, well muscled hindquarters, he is quality but is still young so has time to mature & finish when I think he might be unbeatable. No hesitation today in giving him the CC; 2 Murray’s Takoda Nathan, a lighter dog who is very masculine in outlook, on the move looks the picture in profile, he is just a bit proud of his tail, which can spoil the outline but he has a good coat, masculine head & expression, liked his type & well boned legs & feet. RDCC; 3 Morris’ Penrose Nosmo King. OD (0).

VB (2) 1 Mayhew’s h Ch Arnac Bay Flax, what a quality bitch who certainly doesn’t look her age as she just floated round the ring with no effort using her well boned legs & feet & correct forequarters & hind angulation to advantage. Still in lovely coat & condition, she is well muscled & has a good topline & well set & carried tail. Very feminine with a lovely head & expression. RBCC & BV; 2 Watt’s Oakmarsh Acorn, this 12 year old was put down in good coat & condition, well set & carried tail, moved well, she is balanced & a lovely type with a pretty head. PB (3) 1 Broomfield’s Glaneils Don’t Worry Be Happy, at 11 months this young lady is just right for age, she has a good coat coming which was put down well, she balanced with a feminine head & expression, well set ears, good neck & shoulders, moved well for age & couldn’t resist her for BP; 2 Morris’ Penrose Razzamatazz, darker bitch who is not quite 10 months but she is just right for age, when she settled she moved well, typical head & expression, she is balanced with good forequarters, a little unsure set up but I reckon she will soon come round to the idea of showing & then should do well; 3 Murray’s Muireatai Miracle Of Dreams. JB (3,2) 1 Watts’ Oakleaf Manor Bay of Oakmarsh, this import wasn’t very keen on being gone over but we got there in the end! Feminine head & expression, good neck & shoulders, she is balanced & moved OK, unfortunately not using her tail as she had a dead tail on the day. Shame for she is worth the effort, good topline in profile both set up & moving. PGB (5,2) 1 Coppin & Davies-Jones’ Pixiesrock Queen Of Hearts at Elwistone, darker bitch with a feminine head & expression, she is balanced & well coated with the correct texture, moved well on well boned legs & feet, looking particularly good in profile very feminine in outlook, showed well; 2 Murray’s Luisaidh Eva, another typy bitch who was a bit shorter overall, in correct coat with good texture, moved well with the correct head carriage, feminine head & expression, well set & carried tail & the correct topline. LB (4,2) 1 Coppin & Davies-Jones’ Dallandor Jocasta, well made quality bitch, in lovely coat & condition, feminine head & expression, moved like a train really covering the ground using her well muscled hindquarters & forehand to advantage, very feminine, lovely type; 2 Watts’ Oakmarch Freedom, smaller bitch who is still correct & very feminine, moved OK, good topline & tailset, feminine head & expression, good type who is well made. OB (4,2) 1 Middleton & Mayhew’s Sh Ch Arnac Bay Hebe, she is from the top drawer, I gave her the RCC at Crufts & am thrilled with her development, she has certainly fulfilled her early promise, she is so very feminine in outlook with a beautiful head & expression, so well made & in excellent correct coat & condition, she is well muscled & looks as if she could do a day’s work, this quality bitch is balanced & an excellent type. CC & BOB; 2 Watts’ Sh Ch Oakmarsh Chestnut, again worthy of her title but today she was carrying her tail too high on the moved, but very feminine with a good correct head & expression, nice neck & shoulders, good ribcage & strong loin.
