Bath Canine Society
Thank you to Bath for inviting me to judge my beloved breed and to my two stewards, Joe and Preston for keeping the ring running smoothly. I’d also like to thank the exhibitors for allowing me the opportunity to judge your beautiful poms. The quality was high and many decisions were extremely close with me having to nit-pick on the smallest of things in order to decide the placings.
Poms are meant to give the appearance of being a round ball but I found some were not only standing long (rectangle instead of square) but also looked long and low on the move.
The sun shone brightly so this was the first opportunity this year to show outside. Unfortunately, some lovely poms were distracted by anything that was happening outside of the ring or saw the grass as being playtime thus affecting their performance.
I found only one open font and one bad mouth, both in young poms.
