Bath Canine Society
Thank you to Bath Show for inviting me to award my first set of CC’s in Afghans, thank you to my two stewards on the day and the biggest thank you of all to the exhibitors who allowed me the honour of judging their beautiful affies.
I found the entry to be one of high quality and I was spoilt for choice with many bitches more than worthy of winning top honours. On the day, I felt the performance of some was impacted by being their second class/show of the day in warm temperatures which subsequently affected the final placings.
Veteran (7 entries, 0 abs) – a lovely class to start the day.
1st Gunn & Cannon’s INT CH, LUX CH AMAL SALANG HEY I’M THE STAR AT ZUSHKHAN – this 7 yrs old black presented an elegant and feminine silhouette shape in profile and was the best mover in the class. She has a nice head, ears are well placed and of a good length, dark eyes of correct shape, aloof expression, correct bite, good length of neck into correct shoulder placement, good angulation front and rear, level topline, short in loin , prominent pinbones, correct fallaway, tail set well and carried well on the move. Best Veteran in Breed and shortlisted in the veteran group
2nd Adams’ CH ZANDAHAR JUST TIGER LILY JW SHCM – this 9 yrs old dark brindle was very nice to go over with so many attributes, at first glance I thought she would be my winner. She has a lovely head and expression, good length of muzzle, correct bite, good length of neck, into good lay of shoulder, nice big feet, good depth of chest which was well ribbed, level topline. She is balanced fore and aft and was presented in good condition and coat. Unfortunately, did not move as well as winner on the day.

1st Hall’s SAXONMILL MAJIC MIRROR – loved this 11 mths b/t who has a super head, dark triangular eye and keen expression, correct bite, ears set well, good length of neck into well laid shoulders, excellent front assembly, good depth to chest, level topline, short in loin, correct fallaway, sweeping rear quarters, well set ringed tail, moved effortlessly with light springy strides. Best Puppy in Breed and was thrilled to see her top the Hound Puppy Group and then win Reserve Best Puppy in Show

1st Parsons’ AYOUBKHAN HONEYSUCKLE TO SHUKRIYA – really liked this beautiful 13 mths self-masked cream who oozes femininity, ears set well, darkest of pigmentation, good shape to eye, nice to see chiselling to her foreface, correct bite, good length of neck into well-laid shoulders, good front assembly, good depth to chest, level topline to good fallaway and a ringed tail set well and carried correctly whilst moving. Good rear angulation with correct bend of stifle and low hocks which helped give a lovely profile shape, moved with reach and drive
2nd Gunn & Cannon’s KARAGEZ KARTINA MASIOM AT ZUSHKHAN – this 17 mths b/s was close up with much to like. She has a feminine head and expression, dark correctly shaped eyes, good mouth, good front and rear angles, level topline, tail set well and carried raised on the move. A bit of a handful at times but strode out well with desired spring.
3rd Kirk-Vickers’ GEORDELE TIME TO SHINE AT ISTANI

1st Curtin & McLelland’s JAZZMEENAH STAR ATTRACTION – this 19 mths b/s was very feminine and presented a lovely shape when stood. She has a lovely head with appropriate length of foreface, dark eyes, ears were set well and she has a good mouth. Good length of neck to correct shoulders and front, level topline, prominent pinbones, correct fallaway to well set tail. Presented in good coat, another with lots to like, a little distracted at times on the move but on the whole, she moved soundly covering a lot of ground.
Novice (3 entries)
1st Stevens & Craft’s AYOUBKHAN SILVER SAILS – self masked cream of 13 mths, feminine throughout and giving a lovely profile shape. She has a good length to foreface, dark eyes, ears are set well. Good length of neck, good front and rear angles, short in back, prominent pinbones, would like a bit more body on her, ringed tail set well, profile movement was good
2nd Hughes’ ALISHAN SENSA UNA DONNA AT NANTMELAN – 12 mths black who was more houndier in shape, she has huge puppy coat still which tended to hide her features and good construction but hands on revealed a good head and expression, dark eyes, ears set well, good length of foreface, good bite, good front and rear angles, level topline, moved well

1st Fisher’s SHIMALMA CAMPARI GOES TO IFMARAF – this cream is ultra feminine and presented a lovely shape when stood, she has a lovely head and eye, good length to foreface, correct mouth, a beard and the desired aloof expression, looking straight through me. She has well laid shoulders, a good depth of chest, correct front and rear angles, level topline, prominent pinbones, ringed tail set well and raised when on the move, she moved well covering a lot of ground with effortless strides
2nd Smart’s GEZANCOL KISSED BY AN ANGEL – this black/cream was close up to winner and also presented well when stood, she has a lovely head and expression, ears set well, dark eyes of good shape, good length to foreface, good reach of neck into correct shoulders and good front assembly, good depth of chest, short loin and level topline, good rear angulation, correct croup, moved well with ringed tail raised
3rd Medley’s ALTSIDE SHE’S HOT

1st Millward, Race & Millward’s CALAHORRA MOONLITE N DREAMS OF TICO AT ALOUANN – this silver brindle is so nice to go over, houndy in shape yet so very feminine, aloof in expression and attitude, she has a good head with good length to foreface, darkest of eyes and correct mouth. Her ears are set well and she has a good length of neck leading to correct shoulders and good front assembly, good rear angulation with good muscle tone. An effortless and sound mover covering the ground well with head and tail raised at all times.
2nd Stevens & Craft’s JONECA FIREBLADE – a nice honest self masked red with a lovely head and expression, dark pigmentation, correct shaped eyes, correct mouth, good length of neck, good front assembly, level topline to correct fallaway and well set ringed tail, good rear angles, she moved well & was close up to winner
3rd Turner & Boydell’s NIGHTWIND YOU’RE MY KIND OF CRAZY
Limit (7 entries, 0 abs) – very strong class, all worthy of winning top honours
1st Gilbert’s ALTSIDE HOT AS HELL AT AFFIETAR – this oyster brindle certainly has the WOW factor, compact in shape and nicely constructed throughout, ultra feminine, beautiful head and expression, ears set well, darkest of eyes which are shaped well, good length to foreface with chiselling, correct bite, good length of neck down to correct shoulders, good depth of chest, firm level topline, short in loin, correct fallaway, excellent muscle tone, well angulated sweeping rear quarters which enabled her to move with the desired style of high order, her head and tail were raised at all times and she glided around the ring effortlessly. She has a huge coat which was beautifully presented, couldn’t fault her and was pleased to award her the CC.
2nd Lancashire, O’Donnell & Lancashire’s DRISHAUN CONSIDER THE LILY JW – judged this brindle a couple of years ago and she still appeals greatly to me. She is compact in shape and so feminine. She has a beautiful head and expression, dark eyes, good mouth and a beard. She is well-constructed throughout with correct sloping shoulders, correct front assembly, level topline, prominent pinbones, correct fallaway, nicely angulated at the rear, good muscle tone, ring tail set well, moved soundly with drive, such a close decision
3rd Nisbet & Forrester’s PRAMYA HOT BUT NOT BLONDE AT FINIX JW

1st Noble & Wilcox’s AQUA’S THE BITCHISBACK AT BICHOUX JW – I judged this self masked gold a couple of years ago when she was a Junior and was pleased to see how she has matured. She presents an elegant and houndy outline in shape. Her head is feminine with typical aloof expression, lovely dark eyes of triangular shape, dark pigmentation, good length to ears which are well covered and set well, nice length of foreface, correct mouth, good length of neck to very nice front assembly with well placed shoulders and good depth of chest, large feet, strong level topline, short loin, good fallaway & rear angulation, finished with a lovely ring tail. In superb coat which was beautifully presented. Moved with good rear drive & front extension, covering the ground effortlessly, close decision for top honours, RCC
2nd Nisbet & Forrester’s ZANDAHAR XCLUSIVELY FOR FINIX JW – this beautiful b/t was extremely close up to winner and am sure will change places many times. She is compact in shape and has excellent construction throughout. Super head, eye and expression, good length of neck to correct shoulders and front assembly, good depth of chest, bog feet, level topline, sort in loin, good fallaway, well angulated rear, lovely ring tail, beautifully presented coat, moved effortlessly with drive and extension
