Labrador Retriever Club Championship show - Sunday 17th July 2022 Bitches

I would like to thank The Labrador Retriever Club for the invitation to judge this well run show. Also a thank you to my fantastic stewards Jane & Lucy for keeping everything running smoothly on the day. Thank you to the exhibitors for bearing the heat and showing your dogs to the best ability during these temperatures.

Class 18 Special Working Bitch (2, 1abs)

1st Scutcher - Winsleywood Wild Anise JW SHCM

Lovely head nice soft melting feminine. Good pigment, clean neck flowing into well placed shoulders, top line and tail set. Good depth of chest. Nice quarters, showed and moved well.

Good condition, very alert. Good reach of neck, top line and tail set good. Moved well. Class 20 Veteran Bitch (8,4abs)

1st Miss C Wood’s - Lougin Secret Spy at Sundyke JW

Quality black bitch of 9 years. Lovely head, soft expression, good reach of neck, correct shoulder placement. Top line good. Tail set straight at her back, well muscled hind quarters. Deep chest, nice spring of rib, moved well.

2nd Ms A Scutcher - Winsleywood Wild Honey JW SHCM

Nice feminine head, melting expression, good pigment, good eye, well placed ears, good reach of neck, clean well placed shoulders flowing to level top line. Good tail set, nicely muscled hind quarters. Good bone standing on nice feet. Moved well.

Black pup, nice coat, just a baby needs time. Head ok for age, clean neck, good top line and tail set adequate bone, moved well, could mature nicely.

2nd Mr P & Mrs T McCrory - Meadovillabs Uptown Girl

Feminine head, good top line, good depth of check, straight in stifle. May come with time, moved fine.

Class 22 Puppy Bitch (10, 5abs)

1st Mr E Casey & Mrs E Jayes - Berlan First in Line at Sandylands

Puppy bitch of quality. Lovely type. Liked her head melting soft expression, good pigment, nice eye. Well set ears, clean neck flowing into correct shoulder placements. Level top line and nice tail set. Good spring of rib, good hind quarters, nice turn of stifle. Good bone standing on nice feet and she can move round the ring like a dream for quality type and ring presence I had to award her RES CC + BPIS.

 2nd Ms I Lawrie - Velvetine Havan

Nice puppy. Standing 4 square. Nice head, reach of neck, clean correct shoulder placement. Level top line, good tail set, nice bone, good turn of stifle, moved well. One to watch.

Pleasing head, strong in body. Deep in chest, good spring of rib, nice thick tail, nice turn of stifle. Hind quarters well muscled. Moved well.
