BELFAST DOG SHOW

TOY GROUP

Sincere thanks to Belfast Dog Show for the invitation and for a friendly relaxed show that was enjoyed by all. People go to Belfast for the “craic” but be under no illusion there are no easy wins here. I had a super quality group and thank you to the exhibitors for making the effort to come to Belfast and to the breed judges for giving me some lovely toys to judge in this group.

After an initial examination I considered for further consideration the Bichon Frise, CKCS, Papillion, Pekingese, Chinese Crested, Italian Greyhound, Miniature Pinscher, and Pug. All excellent specimens of their respective breeds.

1st Ch Habiba Hold My Purse. Chinese Crested

Having already awarded her a BIS, RBIS and a BOB there is not much left to say other than well done on a great career and as always she never put a foot wrong.

2nd Yakee Expecting Miracles. Pekingese

This young puppy won’t need any miracles to continue winning into adulthood. He has a lovely wide flat skull, defined chin with excellent lip placement and nothing over-done. His nostrils are black and open and he has lovely expressive dark eyes and pigment. He is solid to the touch with exc depth and width and well ribbed, compact body, narrowing correctly to an exc rear and tail. Still in a puppy coat but moved with desired typical dignified roll.

3rd Uppercut Daydream Believers with Feorlig. Papillion

Another young puppy but ticks all the boxes. Beautiful feminine head with large rounded mobile ears which she never stops using in her constant flight of fancy showing her dainty, alert attitude with lightness on the move. Balanced construction and proportions with lovely coat texture. Whilst a puppy she can hold her own against any adult.

4th Ch Chrisford Chasin Pavements. Italian Greyhound

Excells in proportions, head eye and ears. She is feminine with desired strength and elegance. Holds her topline beautifully and has an excellent outline in profile on the move with desired light lifting action and strong quarters. Correct depth, well ribbed and lovely skin and coat texture.
