BASSET HOUND

PD 2(0)

1. Ellrich’s Malrich Hendricks. Lovely proportions and substance, good head planes, nice clear eyes, long ears but they are a little flat and thick, top-line needs to firm a little, good depth, well ribbed, moves well.

2. Melbourne/Murray’s Diheath Macaramac. Nice outline standing and well balanced but just needs to gain a little confidence.

JD 2(1)

1. Blevins’ Blevwil Kenny Dewitt. Tri dog, 11 months old, I liked his size and substance for age, good head with parallel planes, good eye, ears of good length and texture, clean front, good rear, excellent top-line and moved well from all angles, just needs to drop into himself a little with maturity but very nice puppy, BP.

PGD 2(1)

1. Allchorne’s Nelgus Thyme Flies. Good substance and proportions, lovely head, eye and ears, good front and feet, feet could be a little tidier, good tail, tail a little gay, good depth and well ribbed.

LD 4(0)

1. Freudenreich’s Lockolea Rocket Man. Lovey size and substance, excellent eye and ears, excellent body proportions and clean balanced outline, excellent ribs and depth, moves ok, front could be a little tidier.

2. Hirst’s Diheath Cosmic at Kejana. Heavier dog but very sound, face markings detract from his head but it is a nice head, he has good balance and is well constructed but I would just prefer a little more leg length.

3. Wood’s Marada The Cheviot.

OD 6(0)

1. Cudlip’s Woferlow Voyager at Harvidene. Excellent type and balance, good head, eye and ears, excellent top-line, tail and coat, for preference I would prefer a fraction more leg length but he is so sound and true and looked great from all angles on the move, DCC.

2. Woodworth’s Ch. Armardio Firestarter. Very similar outline and balance, good head, eye and top-line, he has a shade more leg but was carrying his tail a little gay but another very nice dog, moved well from all angles, RDCC.

3. Williams’ Longmynd Cedric Smartson by Bromp.

VB 2(0)

Two very nice bitches, both had lovely head, eyes and ears, good top-lines, nice depth, both well ribbed.

1. Cartwright’s Ch. Longmynd Will O’ The Wisp. Very free in profile on the move with good top-line, BV.

2. Allchorne’s Ch. Diheath Guns N’ Roses JW. Good rear and sound mover, excellent tail.

PB 3(2)

1. Saunders’ Beckshounds Luminara. Lovely puppy, feminine with substance, long lean head, prominent occiput, good top-line and depth, lovely in profile on the move, just needs to fill in front a little on maturity.

JB 6(1)

1. Blevins’ Blevwil Ivana Twinkle. Long lean head, prominent occiput, good forechest but needs to drop a little into herself but is only 11 months old and excels on the move.

2. Melbourne/Murray’s Diheath RTwo Jutwo. Lovely balance and proportions, good ribs, good head and ears, moved well, just not so fluid on the move as 1st but a very close decision.

3. Johnston’s Burnvale Queen of Diamonds.

PGB 3(0)

1. Murray/Melbourne’s Diheath Elvis. Lovely proportions and substance yet still feminine, head is a little plain, she has nice clear eyes, good top-line, neck and excellent rear, front ok, she is sound and moves well in profile keeping outline.

2. Johnston’s Burnvale Black Diamond. Nice bitch with long lean head with parallel planes, good ears, good neck and top-line, I would prefer a little less furnishing, she moved well but just not the drive of 1st.

3. McLean’s Switherland Gabriella at Stookewood.

LB 5(1)

1. Cudlip’s Harvidene Mamma Mia. Lovely outline, feminine with substance, good head, neck, top-line and rear, correct depth, good ribs, short loin, good tail carriage and moves very well in profile, RBCC.

2. Coultas’ Perfect Peach V Grunsven (imp NLD). Beautiful head with excellent ears, good top-line and depth, good tail, moved well in profile.

3. Freudenreich’s Lockolea Circle Of Life.

OB 6(1)

1. Blevins’ Blevwil Zenn. Excellent bitch with beautiful proportions, feminine with substance, good ears, excellent tail, excels on the move and holds her top-line at all times, BCC.

2. Hards’ Mellow Molly V Grunsven at Braemoray (imp NLD). Head planes could be better but overall has a very good outline and is balanced standing and good movement, could have a little more chest.

3. Armstrong’s Ch. Lauralee A Kind Of Magic
