MANCHESTER CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

Show Results - Utility Group

What a pleasure to be part of the first all breed Championship show of the year. Sincere thanks to the committee of Manchester for the invitation and from all the judges and exhibitors for putting on such a great, warm and friendly show despite all of the obstacles. Paul Harding and his team deserve the highest praise.

I was absolutely spoiled for quality and choice and thank you to all of the breed judges for sending me such quality. I could not limit my cut to less than 10 dogs and still left out 2 dogs I had previously awarded BOB to.

The pulled for further consideration the , Akita, Boston Terrier, Eurasier, Japanese Shiba Inu, Lhasa Apso, Standard and Toy Poodle, Standard Schnauzer and the Tibetan Spaniel and Terrier. After some further movement around the ring I had no hesitastion in awarding

1 st in Group to : 6524 LANGDON, Mr P - Ch Huffish Rewrite The Stars With Atastar (Imp Swe - POODLE (STANDARD) – Dog

I have previously awarded this dog a BIS and my opinion has not changed. If anyone is fortunate to put their hands on this dog besides being the excellent specimen of the breed that he is, he displays a masterclass in body condition and musculature development. He is rock hard with condition and not an ounce of fat, allowing him to be elegant throughout yet full of power and allowing to to be so light and effortless in his movement and carriage.

RESERVE : 6895 DAVIES, Mr G - Ch Waterley Partypiece - TIBETAN TERRIER – Bitch

I awarded this bitch a CC and BOB from junior and she has matured into a beautiful adult. Square as a box and robust and has excellent movement retaining a perfect topline at all times. Well ribbed with correct coat texture

3rd : 5646 RANKIN, Miss E & PRICE, Mr A - Ch Wildax The Real Thing - CC - BOSTON TERRIER – Dog

Lovely size and an excellent combination of masculinity and elegance which a Boston must have. Never put a foot wrong and demands attention in any company. Sturdy and compact with flowing lines from

4th : 6643 STACEY, Miss A - Lefenix in the style lilembe - SCHNAUZER – Bitch

Not the most glamorous breed in the Group, especially when they have the correct coat and often overlooked. This bitch oozes, type in her head, expression and ear placement. Her coat is excellent all over and she is robust and strong through her chest and ribs. She could be a half inch more compact but her other attributes make you notice her for the honest workmanlike bitch that she is.
