Richmond Dog Show Society

Breed: Greyhound

As is usual now, a small entry but with plenty of quality. No puppies present. All the winners were quite young and on looking at the catalogue all were bred overseas.

Class 982 JD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1984 BOGART, Mr Gary & BOGART, Mrs Elaine Ina's Fashion Flair at Incitatus (Imp Deu), I fell in love with this handsome young red as soon as he walked into the ring; generous proportions with all the scope in the world, plenty of quality bone, best of fronts, well balanced angulation, not overdone, with well let down hocks, good depth and well ribbed up for such a youngster, flat skull, dark eye, clean cheeks with good chiselling, pin sharp out and back; not quite the stride in profile of the bitch but this may come as he strengthens with maturity. I understand he already has 6 RCCs, he went one better today and took his first CC; a star of the future.

Class 983 PGD (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1988 CLARKE, Miss S Wachovia Benjy, red fawn, plenty of size and substance about him, in fit muscular condition, good length of neck, deep chest, strong well angulated rear, held topline well. Touch straight in upper arm and a bit untidy coming towards me.

2nd: 1992 KING, Dr Nick Conors Matic, Black from a slightly finer mould, very nice refined head with dark eye, balanced angles, good topline and return of upper arm, well filled front. Loose in front and untidy going away.

Class 984 LD (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 1990 HOWDEN, Miss Ellie & HOWLETT, Ms Michaela Skyswift New Moon, w/f with a lot to like, strong jaw, flat skull, good length of neck into well laid shoulder, good length of upper arm, deep chest and good spring of rib, moderate angulation behind, nice clean front action and covered the ground well in profile. Touch short coupled and falls away rather steeply over the croup.

Class 985 OD (3 Entries) Abs: 0

Super class, three high class males, pleasure to judge them.

1st: 1980 AHRENS PRIMAVERA, Mrs Bitte & PRIMAVERA, Mr Pierlu SOBERS GASTON, just 2 y/o, upstanding well balanced red male, long neck, excellent front, plenty of scope, strong loin and well muscled, correctly angulated rear end, took a moment to settle but covered plenty of ground and clean coming and going with good drive behind. Slightly tense in topline. RCC.

2nd: 1983 BOGART, Mr Gary & BOGART, Mrs Elaine Ina's Fashion Exalted at Incitatus (Imp Deu), substantial w/r with well balanced, masculine head, well constructed all through with no exaggerations, moved very well with a nice free stride in profile, in fit condition, losing his topline a little when stacked. Newly crowned and well deserves his title.

3rd: 1985 BOGGIA, Ms Clare Dan Ch Fionn Clann Lucullus for Boughton (Imp Rus)

Class 986 SBD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1988 CLARKE, Miss S Wachovia Benjy.

Class 987 VB (1 Entries) Abs: 1

Class 989 JB (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1989 HOLDER AND BOGGIA, Mrs and Miss Maggie and Clare Fionn Clann Bluebelle (IMP RUS), lovely feminine head, beautifully chiselled, eye matches coat colour, flat skull, long neck, good topline, balanced fallaway, matching angles and she moved very well all round; quite an old-fashioned look to her, so elegant and graceful; still some maturing and filling out to do. RCC.

Class 990 PGB (1 Entries) Abs: 1

Class 991 LB (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1993 RISHWORTH, Mrs Claire Out Of The Blue Ad Honores, red fawn, well chiselled feminine head with dark eye, good length of neck into excellent shoulder and front, springy pasterns, great depth of chest, strong well muscled rear, moved very well, at 2 y/o there should still be more to come from her.

Class 992 OB (3 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 1979 AHRENS PRIMAVERA, Mrs Bitte & PRIMAVERA, Mr Pierlu SOBERS GERALDINE, what a lovely young red, all femininity without any sign of weediness; flat skull, good chiselling, excellent neck and front with well laid shoulder, well ribbed up and standing over lots of ground, lean muscle, powerful drive from behind, lovely long stride in profile, poetry in motion. CC, her third, and BOB; delighted to see her go on to G3.

2nd: 1987 BOGGIA, Ms Clare Ch Ina's Fashion Design By Boughton (Imp Ger), elegant, scopy dark brindle mature bitch, well proportioned, pleasing head, good topline and well-balanced angulation; good going away and in profile. Slightly untidy coming at me and would prefer more depth of fill in front.
