Utility Puppy Group

A quality collection, chock full of future stars. Some today had to give way in maturity and development and some a little overawed by the occasion. However, it was pleasing to see that things aren’t as black as can be sometimes painted.

Puppy Group 1 went to the supremely smart and exciting Akita BEVIS, Ms F & BEVIS, C & CORR, R & VENEZIA, K Stecal's All Guns Blazing. Hard to believe that he is only 6 months old as he is already a sure and steady showman. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I first laid eyes on him. He is glorious for type; his head and expression are superb, and he is beautifully made. On the move he is powerful and super sound and can never be overlooked. Glorious clear colours and presented in first class order. Add to this a world class handler and you have all the essentials for a world class exhibit. I wish him well for the future, but something tells me he won’t need luck. Delighted to hear he went all the way to BPIS under no other than Ken Sinclair. Superb!

Puppy Group 2 was the classy Toy Poodle GODFREY, Mrs B & BELL, Miss Celia Aedan Danced With The Devil. Very typical and beautifully presented. To go over there is little to change. Good for size, excellent coat texture already and has an air of importance as she moves round the ring. Liked her very much and this is not the last we will hear of her.

Puppy Group 3 went to the Chow Chow HOLLIES, Mr P Alan & CARR, Miss Toni Anne & CARR, Jabrevla Dotty Doris. Another very exciting prospect. Gorgeous for type, delightful head and expression, super sound, and superb coat. Nothing exaggerated at all. Champion quality.

Puppy Group 4 to the Miniature Poodle WELLS, Mrs J & WELLS, Mr G VOLGARUS CANDID CLARA. This young Poodle breeder seems to have the golden touch as she is consistently producing top quality Poodles, no matter what size. This bitch is no exception, and she has quality in spades. The most delightful head and expression beautifully made, and, on the move, she is sound with the correct carriage for the breed. Obviously, being the colour she is, coat texture takes time, but she is another with a title in front of her.
