Junior Dog (2,1)

1st: Wensley’s Constella Hazy Cosmic Jive. Such a character and really calmed down as the class went on. Liked him very much for make and shape. Obviously immature. Head is good for balance with correct positioning of stop. Good head planes. Correct length of muzzle compared to skull. Correct blunt wedge shape. Liked his level of refinement through the skull which gave him a most typical look. Eyes are almond in shape and very expressive. Ears are well set. Nicely proportioned. Firm topline. Tail set on correctly and carried well. Excitable on the move, but very sound when he got going, with a nice long stride. Lots of scope to do very well in the future. BD & BP

Post Graduate (2,0)

1st: Wensley’s Constella Hazy Cosmic Jive.

2nd: Riva’s Manordeifi Rock On. For me, rather heavy through the skull which detracted from the overall expression. Eyes are ok for shape and set. Ears good for size and set. Neck medium in length. Moderately angulated all through. Chest reaches to elbow. Felt he could have had a tad more substance. Topline firm. Tail set correctly. Moves soundly.

Open (3,0)

1st Loaders’ Ch Coneypark Countdown for Allangil. Masculine boy. Just a shade too deep through the skull for my personal preference and this just made him look a bit heavier than I prefer overall. It does present a blunt wedge shape. He has good eyes for set and shape. Ears are set well. Nice muscular neck leading to well laid shoulders. Deep chest which was ok in width. Firm loins and topline. Very well-proportioned. Tail set on correctly. Best mover in this class with a nice flowing side gait and tidy out and back. RBD

2nd: Smith’s Ch/Multi Ch Winter Is Coming To Tentola. Nice for type with typical head and expression. Neck is muscular and leads to well laid shoulders. Decent return to upper arm. Tad long in body for me and was dipping in his topline standing and on the move. Moderate turn to stifle and well placed, firm hocks. Sound enough, but not as light on the move as 1st.

3rd: Martin & Howard’s Shandlmain Blue Chief

Special Beginners (1,0)

1st: Wensley’s Constella Hazy Cosmic Jive.

Junior Bitch (1,0)

1st: Moores’ Blamorder High Hopes. I like this bitch for type. Feminine. Good length through the head without being overdone. Blunt wedge in shape with good balance of skull and muzzle. Correct head planes. Expressive, almond shaped eyes which are dark in colour. Ears are well set. Her body is of a nice shape with pretty good angulation throughout. Deep enough in chest. Slight rise over loins. Good for proportions. Moves very free in profile, but very wide behind on the day. Just needs to steady down and tighten up all through. RBB.

Post Graduate Bitch (2,1)

1st: Davies & Browns’ Breckamore Blessings at Wystry. This bitch stood away for me here today. Beautiful outline that certainly catches your eye. Very nice head indeed. Blunt wedge and smooth lines throughout. Well proportioned skull to muzzle. Sufficient underjaw to give that typical appearance. Very good parallel head planes. Eyes are almond in shape, dark and very expressive. Ears are well set and of a nice shape. Well arched, muscular neck (many here today lacked any arch). Very well angulated shoulders and her upper arm returns nicely to bring her forelegs under her. Good depth of chest. Firm in body, loins and topline. Tail set and carriage is good. Well turned stifles and low set, firm hocks. Super flowing, lightfooted gait in profile and very tidy out and back. Impressive girl. BB & BOB

Open Bitch (3,1)

1st: Moores’ Blamorder Ridin On A Rainbow to Manordeifi. A balanced girl who was well presented. Head is a blunt wedge and shows quite good balance and isn’t overly deep. Head planes ok. Eyes are almond in shape and dark in colour. Ears well placed. Neck shows some arch, but is muscular. Moderate angles fore and aft. Ok for bone. Body is well developed and mature. Mobves ok in profile, but rather wide behind.

2nd: Kinsey & Martin’s Sturtmoor Kurious Kadence. Head wasn’t really a blunt wedge. Head planes are not quite right for me. Good balance to muzzle and skull. Eyes are nice for shape and set. Neck is well arched and of decent length. Lovely angles. Chest reaches to elbows. Strong in topline and firm in loins. Tail set and carriage typical for the breed. Moves very soundly indeed. Not quite the head type of 1st.
