Special Award Classes
A massive thank you to the Club for inviting me to judge the Special Awards. It was certainly the highlight of my year. I had a lovely time, great atmosphere, wonderful exhibitors - thank you. Special thanks to the steward who kept us all moving and was delightful company over lunch.

Class A:

1st - Sandiford & Lewis’s - Hernwood Gin Fizz JW

Litter sisters - what a lovely duo they are. 17 month old and both move steady and true. 1st held her top line throughout showing off a lovely outline. Dark eyes with a pleasing head and expression. Long neck flowing into well placed shoulders. Correct moderate length of body, well bent stifles. Look forward to watching her develop and grow.

2nd - Sandiford & Jarvis’s - Hernwood Lunar’s Gin
Similar comments to one apply. Correct deep head, with dark brown eyes. Lovely long neck into well laid shoulders. Correct medium length of body, just not the maturity of one.

Class B:
1st - Johnston, Johnston, Johnston & Boxall’s - Ludstar Maccabee at Glenquin (Imp Ita)
A 17 month old male. What an eye catcher this young lad is. Giving his handler a hard time, didn’t detract from him. He is a dog that has presence. Deep head, dark brown eyes. Medium length ears, long neck into well laid shoulders. Elbows set close to the body, good spring of rib. Body moderate in length with level topline held throughout. Tail carried horizontally. Moved steady and free. One to watch.

2nd - Sandiford’s - Hernwood Christmas Eve
3 year old bitch with bold temperament. Everything about her appears stylish. Dark brown eyes,, clearly defined lips, correct medium sized ears set low. Long neck leading into correctly set shoulders. Oval feet with well arched toes. Well sprung ribs, with moderate body length. Broad and muscular rear. Didn't quite have the drive in movement as 1.

3rd - Graylacier Blue Marlin

Class C:

1st Timmermann, Cornum & Welling’s - DT/Am/Be Ch Munroc Beretta WW21

Lovely masculine looking 6 year old male. Intelligent look to him, with dark brown eyes. Strong jaws, with fairly long muzzle. Ears set low and close. Long neck into well set shoulders. Body of moderate length, holding a level topline throughout. Deep brisket and well sprung ribs. A mature body with a lovely level of muscle. Tail carried correctly horizontally off the back. Movement was driven from behind in a steady and free movement.

2nd - Boxall’s - Laurelhach Ovation
3 year old bitch and just looked the part. Lovely kind feminine expression, with dark brown eyes, low set ears, correct proportioned skull. Long clean neck into correctly placed shoulders. Plenty of bone to this young lady. Oval shaped feet with well-arched toes. Elbows set close to the body with a good spring of rib. Moderate body length and held top line at all times. On this day I just preferred the drive from behind of one.

3rd - Sh Ch Bryerdale Quantas (AI)
