CIRNECO DELL’ETNA

Thoroughly enjoyed judging this lovely smart breed. My first time with their own classes; I was impressed with the quality of the hounds and especially their very sporting and encouraging exhibitors – how nice to see.

Limit Dog 1

1st – Farleigh & McDonnells DUCA del GESCO BIANCO (IMP ITA)

Only 18 months, very smart youngster. Lovely head and correct eye from a strong neck into well laid shoulders, good feet, excellent overall balance and outline with good co-ordination front and rear. Sound mover, just preferred the maturity of Open D in the challenge. Reserve Best Dog.

Open Dog 3

1st – Taylors Teyora Ronco

Mature, 4 years old. I liked everything about him – for me an easy winner today. Did not put a foot wrong standing and moving. Excellent overall conformation, in great condition. He is as the standard quotes “elegant, but robust and strong “. He moves as one with his handler. Pleased to award him Best Dog and BOB.

2nd – Farleigh & McDonnells KINABULA MILANO WITH TRIQUETRA

Handsome 3 yr old, who looked great standing with excellent head and eye, not as mature as winner, but well bodied, with good length and topline. A little unsettled on the move today, well handled and presented.

3rd – Wolstenholme, Moughton & Connattys KINABULA TROIKA AT DEKRIS.

Nearly 6 years, half brother of above.

Junior Bitch 2

1st – Morris’ TITANO GROTA ATLANTIDA (IMP LTH) NAF TAF.

Quite mature, 8 months, well grown puppy. Heavier style to 2nd, I preferred her overall balance and outline with correct topline. Still a little loose on the move, but handler got the best out of her. Excellent side movement. Best Puppy.

2nd – Taylor Smiths TAORMNENSIS ORIANA (IMP ITA)

Just 1 yr and very refined compared to winner. Feminine youngster – not the outline and presence and today was very unsettled on the move. Need to tighten front and rear, should improve with maturity.

Limit Bitch 4 (1 abs)

1st – Farleighs KINABULA’S TUTE SWEET MOCHA

Very smart, 4 years, mature hound. Very pretty head, correct ears and eye. In superb condition, excellent overall balance and sound front and rear with good feet. Looked good standing, a real showgirl with correct topline, length and depth. Excellent tail and set. Perfect handling. Won this class with ease and pressed her litter sister hard in the challenge. Reserve Best Bitch.

2nd – Farleigh & McDonnells COLISTO’S SEVERINA (IMP RUS)

Another classy hound, at 2 yrs is less mature and is a slightly heavier build than winner, but two lovely bitches who were difficult to separate. Both had a lot to like about them. Feminine, well constructed and sound front and rear. Well handled.

3rd – Taylors TEYORA WANDERING STAR

Open Bitch 3

1st – Farleigh & McDonnells KINABULA’S AMORETTA AT TRIQUETRA

Another very smart, 4 yrs, elegant hound from this very consistent kennel. Litter sister to previous class winner. I notice they are daughters of HADRANENSIS VIOLETTA via KINABULA, who I admired greatly when I judged her many moons ago. Amoretta is stylish. Very pretty head, ears and correct eyes, which blend well with her coat. Great neck into well laid shoulder. Well bodied, with good topline and good co-ordination front and rear. Low set tail, which is carried correctly on the move. Just had that little extra style to beat her sister in the challenge. Absolutely true front and rear. Best Bitch.

2nd – Farleighs KINABULA’S MAJOLICA.

More mature at nearly 6 yrs, half sister to above, looked great standing, well bodied with correct ribbing and topline. Excellent handler, just out-moved today by winner.

3rd – Taylors TEYORA NARA
