I enjoyed judging this wonderful breed for the first time at this level. I was impressed with the overall quality of the entry. Most had great temperaments and were generally sound movers.

The standard calls for a straight tail and says that this is a characteristic of the breed, there were a few that did not confirm to this. I found a number of very soft coats, but happily none were overtrimmed. Some fronts were far to wide and a few very narrow on the move. Most had the right length neck and toplines generally very good. Delighted to see my BOB win the puppy group as well as making a strong final 8 in the adult group – I don’t award top honours to puppies lightly, but thought he was just special.

Baby of the class but the best mover. He has a well proportioned head. Dark eyes. Small ears. Short neck. Well ribbed and short in back. Straight tail moderate hind angulation.

2nd: 1116 VAN DE BURGT, Mr C & STRANGE, Mr D Norvanik Feeling Fruity

Liked his shape and proportions, just v narrow moving towards. Liked his head. Good length to his muzzle. Dark eyes. Small ears. Short neck. Has a level topline with straight tail. Good rear.

1st: 1066 CAWTHERA-PURDY, Mrs A Lireva's Finders Keepers

Really super pup Hhe is v well proportioned and moved so v well. Liked his head. Enough muzzle, dark eyes, neat rears, good stop. Short neck. Well made in front. Can drop a little in chest still. Well ribbed. Flat tail. Well bent stifle with low hocks. Real quality pup. Obviously not in the coat of the adults but I was captivated by him. CC, BOB, BP, PG1

2nd: 1053 ALLEN, Mr M Alexiasdream Golden Boy

Really liked this d a lot, not quite as good in front action as 1, lifts his feet a bit high as yet. Like his shape. Well proportioned head. Dark eyes, which are slightly oval. Short neck. Well made in front. Well ribbed. Straight tail. Moderate rear, which he uses really well. Should do really well.

Junior d (5,3)

1st: 1073 KACAREVIC, Mrs J & KACAREVIC, Mr N Vip Pom Stars Magic Moment

Better size of these 2 and he is a v good mover. Slightly short in muzzle. Dark eyes. Fairly short neck. Level topline. Could have a straighter tail. Well made rear. Nice feet.

2nd: 1082 HILLS, Mr & Misses C Sharhazlah Luvs a Dare Devil

I liked his head, v good eyes. Ok for neck. Shoulders are slightly forward. Level topline. Well set tail. His rear matches his front. In correct coat texture.

Liked his size and proportions and a good mover. Masc head. With lovely eye and expression. Neat ears. Short neck. Well balanced in his angulation. Well bodied with a level topline. Liked his coat texture.

2nd: 1083 JOHNSON, Ms L Amardica Legend Of Magic At Startori

Just a little longer than 1. He moved quite well. Masc head with well proportioned muzzle to skull. Dark, slightly oval eyes. Short neck. Level topline and straight tail.

3rd: 1081 HILLS, Mr & Misses C Sharhazlah's Son of a Devil

1st: 1080 HILLS, Mr & Misses C Sharhazlah's Suave Devil

Well proportioned d who showed well. His proportions are v good. Masc head. Dark eyes and small ears. Short neck. Very moderate in his angulation, but well balanced. Could have a better topline and tail.

2nd: 1086 KEE, Mr D Chelsea Magic Luck Taurusdale (IMP UKR)

Rather lacking animation today. He has a well proportioned head. Dark eyes. Slightly rounded in skull. Short neck. Level topline. Moderate in angulation.

He is a super shape and best mover in class, although not the absolute precision of the puppy. Well proportioned head. Dark eyes with small ears. Short neck. Well laid shoulder. Well ribbed back. Level topline and straight tail. Well bent stifle with low hocks. V good coat. RCC

He was v close up. Really super shape, just not quite as good moving in front, high steps slightly. Super head. Dark, oval eyes. Small ears. Correct neck. Well ribbed. Level topline with a straight tail. Well bent stifle with low hocks. V good coat.

She was very together and moved soundly. Liked her fem head, well shaped muzzle. Dark eyes. Short neck. Could be slightly shorter in back. Straight tail. Balanced in angulation.

Shapely pup. She has a well balanced head. Dark eyes. Short neck. Well bodied. Just needs to firm up moving.

She too is a lovely shape. Well proportioned head, dark slightly oval eyes, neat ears. Short neck. Level topline. Well bodied. Not tail of 1. But another lovely youngster.

Still a pup but she is very promising. I liked her shape and proportions. Well shaped head. Dark eyes. Short neck. Level topline. Tail could be better. Can tighten in front but. Good mover.

She has a super shape and I found her slightly better in front than 2. She has a v good head, well proportioned with super eye and expression. Short neck. Well laid shoulder. Level topline with a straight tail. Well bent stifle and low hocks. Went well.

She too has a lovely shape, just a bit wide in chest. V good head, super eye. Neat ears. Balanced in her angulation. Level topline with a straight tail went well.

Well proportioned b who moves so v well. She has a fem head. Well proportioned with a correct muzzle. Deep stop and fairly flat skull. Short neck. Well made front and rear. Super body. Level topline and a straight tail. In v good coat. CC

Liked her for shape v much. She is slightly wider in chest than 1. She has a pretty face. Dark eyes with a super expression. Short neck. Level topline. Well ribbed. She is parallel on the move.
