Bath. English Springer Spaniels

Not the biggest entry, but I thought very typy. Having judged the breed several times most will know that I don’t like them long, want good movers and don’t accept poor temperament. Exciting to see my lovely BOB winner put on a great display to win the Gundog Group.

Veteran D (4,1)

1st: 3075 TAUBMAN, Mrs K C Meonstoke Hawthorn

Correct proportions and very typy both stood and on move. . Masc head of correct balance, medium neck. Well laid shoulder. He could have more fill of chest. Well ribbed back. Well bent stifle with low hock. Could be a fraction tidier on front action. V good rear. BV

2nd: 3049 CHARLTON, Miss J Petranella Jubilee Jester

Slightly longer type of d but he is a very easy mover. Would like a better head. He has a lengthy neck. Moderate and v well balanced in his angulation. Holds a level topline.

3rd: 3066 MURDOCH, Mrs Denise Roqfolly Spectre

Both very promising pups.

1st: 3083 WALKER, Mrs W M & WALKER, Mr S P Dexbenella Double Oh Seven

Super outline, full of fun and very springy moving. Has a well balanced head. Long neck into well laid shoulders. Could have more slope to his upper arm. Well ribbed back to a short loin. Level topline. Super rear. He is just a bit loose in front at this stage. Super prospect.

2nd: 3057 HILL, Mrs Clare Dexbenella double trouble at teignvalley

Better behaved, also of super type. Not quite the shoulder of 1. He has a slightly better head. Enough neck. Well ribbed. Level topline. Super rear. Both these pups full of quality.

Junior d (1)

1st: 3069 REYNOLDS, Mr & Mrs R & J Clentonian Pitch Perfect

Slightly off square d who is very accurate out and back with a lengthy stride. Well proportioned head. Medium neck. Angulation is v well balanced. Needs to deepen in chest. Holds a firm topline.

Yearling d (1)

1st: 3047 CASEY, Mr E & JAYES, Mrs E Sandylands Xpress Delivery

V well presented d of correct proportions. Quite a good head, masc and not at all coarse. He has a lengthy neck. More angulation at the rear than at the front. Well sprung ribs that go well back to a short loin. Firm topline. Accurate on the move. Tight feet.

Post grad d (5,2)

1st: 3079 TOPLISS, Mrs Trudy Beresford Lockdown

Lovely outline and proportions. Masc all through.Liked his head. Long neck. Quite a good front. Level and firm in topline. Deep chest. V good rear. He is fairly accurate on the move. Long stride. Holds himself well moving round. CC

2nd: 3071 ROWLINSON, Mrs Edwina Meltarose Midshipman

He is slightly longer than winner. Quite a good head just a little too much skin on throat. Lengthy neck. Slightly forward in shoulder. Good depth of chest. Well ribbed back. Well bent stifle with low hocks.

3rd: 3061 JENKINSON, Mrs K Eastriding Royal Black

Limit d (4)

This was quite an even class with much to admire about all of them.

1st: 3045 AINSLEY, Miss Lucy-May & NICKLIN, Mr Lewis Daenerys Blood Of The Dragon

Just a fraction long. He has a better head than 2.l Long neck. Quite a good front. Deep chest and well ribbed back to a firm loin. Well bent stifle and low hocks. He is accurate and powerful on the move.

2nd: 3060 JENKINSON, Mrs K Eastriding Royal Mayfair JW

Prefer the proportion of this to 1. He.could be cleaner in cheeks. He has a lengthy neck. Moderate in his angulation front and rear. Well ribbed back to a strong loin. Hold as level topline. Accurate mover,

1st: 3077 TOPLISS, Mrs Trudy Sh Ch Beresford Night Train

Mature d in super hard muscle. He could be slightly more square . Really liked his head. Lengthy neck. He has a good front. Deep, well filled chest. Well sprung ribs to a short loin. Correct rear. Accurate on move and a long typical stride. Liked his soft lines. Could use his tail a little more moving. RCC

2nd: 3080 TOPLISS, Mrs Trudy Sh Ch Beresford As Good As It Gets

He is almost square. Not as good in head as 1. Long neck. And quite a well laid shoulder. Firm in topline. Moderate rear. Has a lengthy stride.

V typy b who had an age advantage, more together on the move. She has a fem head . Medium neck. Quite a good front. Deep chest. Topline is ok. Rear matches her front v well. Accurate on the move.

2nd: 3062 KIBBY, Mrs J I Trimere Taylor Maid at Pinhays

Just a year and she shows lots of promise. Correct proportions. Head is correct for her age. Long neck. Just needs to finish,

V nice type fem b. Accurate on move with a typical side gait. Liked her head. String neck. She has quite a good front. Well made rear. Holds topline.

2nd: 3088 WEYMAN, Mrs J Spuffing Molly's Secret

She has a lengthy head. Long neck. Not the front of 1. Well ribbed back. Level topline. Well bent stifle with low hocks.

Really super prospect. She has a v good head. Long neck. Well laid shoulder. Deep chest. Well ribbed. Topline slopes v slightly moving She has a v good rear. Accurate on move with a good stride. BP

She is square in her proportions. Fem head. Medium neck. Her angulation front and rear is more moderate than 1. Well sprung ribs. Level topline. Can firm in action.

Super outline and proportions, and her angulation won her this class. She has a fem head. Long neck. Deep chest. She holds a firm topline. Loose but typy mover.

2nd: 3089 WEYMAN, Mrs J Spuffing Prosecco

She has good proportions. Liked her fem head of correct length. Medium neck. Angulation is moderate. But balanced well ribbed. Can firm in action.

Junior b (4)

1st: 3052 CORBETT, Miss Sarah Jane Trimere Time Fly's

She is v well made and moved so well. Slightly longer than ideal. She has a really good head. Long neck. Well laid shoulder. Deep chest. Holds her topline. Well made rear. Could just use her tail more. RCC

2nd: 3085 WALKER, Mrs W M & WALKER, Mr S P Dexbenella Double Or Quit

Only 9 months and a little overawed but went well enough. She is the right proportions. Correct angulation front and rear. Well bodied.

3rd: 3063 KIBBY, Mrs J I Trimere Turn Back Time

Almost square b who is so v well made and a good mover. Well proportioned fem head. Lengthy neck into well laid shoulders. Deep chest. Level and firm in topline. Well made rear with low hocks. Accurate mover.

2nd: 3078 TOPLISS, Mrs Trudy Sandylands Send My Love

She is a v good shape with correct t proportions. V good head. Lengthy neck. Quite a good shoulder but rather short in upper arm, so comes towards rather wide. Deep chest. Well ribbed. Well bent stifle with low hocks.

Liked her proportions. She has a fem head, clean skull. Could have a little more muzzle. Long neck. Could have a slightly better front and is upright in pastern. Well ribbed. Level topline. Well made rear and she is in v good muscle. Really straight coming towards.

Like her for type and proportions. Would just like more angulation each end, but she is balanced and as a result has an even stride. V good head. Long neck. Could have more body. Level topline.

2nd: 3050 COKELL, Mrs H Carlyquinn Kisses Of Fire JW

She is so v well made but threw chances away on the move. Super head. Long. Neck. Slightly long. When she moved went well.

3rd: 3092 WILLIAMS, Mrs J & TOUBLIC, Mrs D & TOUBLIC, Miss P Cobhay Dazzling Azalea

1st: 3090 WILDSMITH, Mrs Margaret & WILDSMITH, Mr Stephen & Sh Ch Trimere Tickle Me Fancy

Rally top quality b. She is the right shape, which she holds on the move. Lovely head. Long neck. Well laid shoulder with a lengthy sloping upper arm. Well bodied. Firm topline. Super rear. Accurate mover with a long stride. I thought she was very beautiful. CC & BOB

2nd: 3044 AINSLEY, Miss Lucy-May & NICKLIN, Mr Lewis Daenerys Winds Of Winter

She is a well proportioned and fem b. She has a v good head. Long neck. Good front. Deep chest. Well ribbed back. Holds a firm topline. Plenty of hind angulation with low hocks.

Just not as good as winner in hind action.
