WINDSOR CHAMPIONSHIP DOG SHOW

COLLIE (SMOOTH)

Judge: Mrs Fay Hutchings

I really enjoyed my time with my other favourite breed, As most of you know I like my collies to have substance and bone . Some are a little too fine for my liking Lots are not good in front and moving slack in front. I believe the Veteran dog could be a asset to a lot in their breeding programmes as he has very much to offer.

1st: LUSTY Can Gr Ch Cardross Red Dirt Road To Blamorder (IMP)

I loved this Sable and White Boy, thought he would be my CC winner on the day, but he did not put the performance in as I have seen him in the past, and unfortunately out of coat. I love his head and expression and his ear carriage is super, lovely shaped stacked, but wasn’t moving to his advantage today, although has super muscletone, the best in the entry. think the early morning wasn’t for him, netherless he was more than worthy of the RCC on the day.

2nd: BENTON Oakestelle Venus De Milo VW

Finer type well broken Blue Merle bitch, which I did well as a youngest, She has a nice type head, Good neck, ears not as tight as they could be at times, has a nice outline, she is well made in body, and moves well.

Tri-Colour Dog, would like a little more of him, but he has a lovely outline, a nice head, eye shape and expression. Has a good front, and moves really well when he got going and concentrated on the job in hand. Best Puppy in Breed, thrilled to see him shortlisted in the puppy group. Well done

1st: SMITH UK Port Esp Gib Ch Winter is Coming to Tentola, well broken blue merle boy, of lovely type, Has a super front, super shape standing and in profile movement. Nice head type, with a lovely Almond shape eye. Very appealing. But was not moving as I know he can today.
