Breed: Glen Of Imaal Terrier

Southern Counties Championship Show, 3rd June 2022

Glen of Imaal Terrier

My first time judging this lovely breed & absolutely fell in love with them.

PGD (1): 1 RBD Saletti’s Heremon Bear, wheaten male, well off for bone &

substance. Lovely head, eye & ears, dark pigment, correct length of body, moved

well though could be a little stronger through the rear pasterns.

OD (1): 1 Smith’s Romainville Bilbo Baggins, wheaten male of just over 7 years,

good size, strong bone, all male with good substance & correct body to height ratio,

correct spring of rib, good medium length coat with harsh top coat, moved well but

would prefer more bend to rear stifle.

VD (2): 1 BD, BOB & BV Hannington’s Ch Boudivella Osca, 7 years wheaten

male, so full of himself & knows his job. When he jumped up with his front paws onto

the table waiting for his owner to lift him, I could see how lovely his head was with

good width to the skull, lovely round eye & well placed ears. He is very sound all

through, with correct forelegs, good length of body & is taut to the touch being strong

over the loin. Moved well & in lovely condition with correct coat texture; 2 R Bilbo

Baggins.

PB (2, 1a): 1 BB & BP Hannington’s Mo Stor Ailin of Tatlers Jacks Clann at

Boudivella (Imp), alone here but so worthy. Wheaten of nearly 12 months and so

full of confidence & spirit which will take her far. Pretty head, appeals both standing

& moving, especially the latter where she is positive in her action. Loved her shape

with slight rise to loin. When she fills out with maturity, will do well.

LB (1): 1 RBB O’Grady’s Amhard Quick Sand, wheaten appeals standing with

correct length of body for height & slight rise to the loin, correct eye shape, strong

neck of moderate length, correct through the forearms, good ribbing. Preferred the

compact feet & driving movement of Mo Sor Ailin for BB.
