Many thanks to the Secretary and Committee of this lovely show, it was nice to be back! Always a warm welcome in Scotland and this show was no exception.

CANADIAN ESKIMO DOG

1. Byrne’s Aavuuta Qimmiq Akiak (imp CAN). 10 months old, alert expression with well set dark eye and ears, liked his broad skull, good jaw and bite, strong neck and shoulders with straight front and good bone, nicely balanced throughout, he moved around the ring with a powerful but easy gait, presented in excellent well muscled condition, BD & BP.

2. Bailey’s Akna Peary NAF TAF. 9 months, not quite as mature and settled as 1, but he had a lovely head with keen expression, good eye, well set ears and strong muzzle, preferred the top-line and croup of 1, good neck and shoulders with strong bone and good feet, showed some promising movement in profile and was steady coming and going, well presented and handled.

Bailey’s Akna Run Silent Run Deep** 14 months, full of exuberance and character, keen expression, good eye and ear set, strong jaw, clean, straight front with good bone and feet, nicely angulated throughout with good top-line, just needs to tighten up all through for a better overall finish, moved out well and showed some lovely movement in profile, presented in good condition, RBD.

1. McClements/Matthewson’s Qimugta Pandora’s Star for Snowynook. Nicely balanced bitch of 2 years who was longer cast than 2, expressive head with good eye and ear set, excellent pigment, good reach of neck, strong shoulders and good front assembly, correct bone and feet, she moved out with powerful reach and drive covering the ground well, in excellent coat and condition, RBB.

2. Byrne’s Xorkani’s Anesi. Very feminine bitch of 20 months who was not happy today with her surroundings, she had a very expressive head with dark eye, straight front with good bone, liked her overall body proportions, when she settled she moved out well showing some promising reach and drive, presented in excellent coat and condition, just needs more confidence.

Bailey’s Akna Dale** 6 year old bitch with nice breed type and body proportions, feminine, expressive head, good eye and ears, strong neck and well set shoulders, sound all through carrying correct amount of weight, good length of leg, nicely angulated and well muscled all through, presented in lovely condition, she moved out with purpose with a powerful reach and drive, BB & BOB.

2. Byrne’s Int/Ir/Ned Ch. Harpan Charlotte Bay Ir JCh, BJCh. 4 year old bitch, feminine head and expression, well set ears and good eye, strong neck and shoulders with straight front and good bone, sound body proportions and well set tail, she moved out with purpose with a positive reach and drive, presented in well muscled condition.
