Breed: Siberian Husky

Many thanks to the exhibitors of this breed for patiently waiting to be judged after their breed show, I personally felt the breed should have been judged first as it seemed a last minute panic for my BOB to make the group, thank you for your patience and understanding.


SIBERIAN HUSKY


PD 5(0)

1. Bryson’s Inukshuk O’Aningan. 8 months old with masculine head and keen expression, good eye and well set ears, ideal body proportions with good rib and strong loin, good leg length, sound feet and well angulated all through, strong top-line, moved out soundly with a free and easy gait, BPD.

2. Bryson’s Inukshuk O’Naniichuk Kulu. Litter brother to 1st where much of the same comments apply, straight front and good feet, nicely constructed although I found him a shade shorter on leg, nicely angulated all through with sound top-line, another who moved out soundly with a free gait.

3. Johnson’s Kentwone Shooter at Lupinemoon (NAF).

1. Carmichael’s Podricals The Gambler by Glenbranter. Nicely balanced male of 12 months who looked well in outline both standing and moving, masculine head with intelligent, alert expression, good ears and dark eye, correct bone and feet, well muscled, light and free on the move.

2. Taylor/Taylor-Norris’ Pelenrise Don’t Stop Moving JW. Heavier in type but this 16 month old was masculine all through, keen expression and dark eye, strong neck, good shoulders, nicely angulated with well muscled top-line, free and effortless on the move, presented in good condition.

3. Johnson’s Kentwone Shooter at Lupinemoon NAF.

1. McInnes’ Inneska Malachite. Promising young male of 2 years, alert, keen expression with well set ears, nice arch to neck and correct body proportions, nicely angulated all through, good top-line and correct rib and loin, moved with a free and easy gait when he settled into his stride, well presented.

2. Snelson’s Azgard Monticristo at Ashtrax. 2½ year old, little heavier all through and where I would like more leg length, masculine head with keen expression and dark eye although would prefer a little better balance in skull, nice body proportions and good angles, moved out freely.

1. McArthur/McKenzie’s Blizzardrun’s Chase for Mersothis JW. Well balanced 3 year old dog with a lot of appeal, masculine and alert expression with well set ears and dark expressive eye, nicely angulated all through with sound top-line and very well muscled, ideally would like him a shade up on leg but he was balanced, very free and effortless on the move, presented in very fit condition, RDCC.

2. Wynne’s Mydisa Golden Ticket. A nicely angulated and well balanced dog of 6 years, masculine head with intelligent expression, well set ears, straight front, good bone and feet, ideal body proportions and good depth of chest, moved out freely covering the ground well, felt the handler didn’t show him to advantage today to bring out his best.

3. Ranby/Hughes’ Siberiadrift Secret Untold.

1. Allen’s Ch. Siberiadrift Keep The Love for Zimavolk JW ShCM. 5½ year old male of lovely quality, masculine, well balanced head with keen, alert expression, well arched neck with sound forequarters and correct body proportions, good length of leg and compact feet, extremely well muscled, lovely angulation all through with good tail-set and croup, very free and easy on the move, he covered the ground well and was presented in tip top condition, pleased to award him the DCC & BOB and glad he made the Working Group by the skin of his teeth and be subsequently awarded Group 4. 

2. Houston’s Rajarani Dominique. Nicely balanced male, rising 7 years, correct head proportions and keen expression, good neck and well muscled shoulders, good body proportions and depth of chest, correct rib and loin, moved out well with a free and easy gait.

3. Anderson’s Azgard Cohiba to Uriakin.

1. Wynne’s Glenbranter Summat Special at Mydisa JW ShCM. Appealing veteran of 9½ years showing no signs of age, keen head and expression, well arched neck with well muscled shoulders, good body proportions and nicely angulated, he moved out freely with a sound top-line both standing and moving, BV and pleased to see him awarded G4 in the Veteran Group. 

2. Sutton/Kent’s Aspen Ranger Wilderness Spirit at Lyfearon ShCM (imp LVA). Well presented male of 8½ years, masculine head, not the leg length of 1st and well off for bone but good body proportions and nicely angulated, for me a little heavy all through.

3. Porritt’s Skimarque Winter Frost at Blizzardrun JW.

1. McGregor/Dimmock’s Innukshuk O’Isumatturuk Ila. (VHC in PD) 8 month old male, nice type overall but would prefer a little more balance in head, particularly a little more width in muzzle, good neck and well muscled shoulders, good body proportions, he showed some sound, free movement in profile but untidy on the out and back.

1. Penman’s Sutarka’s Calla. Promising young bitch of nearly 12 months, very feminine head with intelligent, keen expression, good ear set and pigment, nicely balanced although I would have liked a fraction more on the leg, that said, she had nice proportions with strong neck and well muscled shoulders, she moved out accurately with balance and presented in very fit condition, BPB, BP & BSpB and pleased to see her awarded Group 2 in Special Beginners Group.

2. McKinnon/Thomson’s Coryn Gercekask Amortentia. Only 6 months but very expressive head and nicely balanced for one so young, another where she could have had a better leg length, nicely angulated all through with sound top-line and well muscled, moved out freely with a good, ground covering gait.

3. Simms’ Sutarka’s Angelica at Arcticskies.

1. Penman’s Sutarka’s Calla. 1st in PB.

2. Casola’s Podricals Dream Baby. 12 months old, very feminine expressive head, well set ears and good pigment, nicely proportioned with good neck and well muscled shoulders, presented in lovely condition, just felt she wasn’t quite as clean on the move as 1st.

3. Odell’s Hyperborea My Black Eternal for Howlvall (imp RUS).

1. Wilkinson’s Cyanda’s Blue Hellfire. Soundly made bitch of 18 months, feminine head and expression with good body proportions, arched neck and well muscled shoulders, sound top-line standing and moving, free and easy movement covering the ground well.

2. McKie’s Chillipaws Betsey Trotwood. Another nice bitch of 3 years with feminine head and expression, well set ears and good eye, soundly made all through with arched neck and well muscled shoulders, good front and feet, sound top-line, she moved out freely with a light, ground covering gait.

3. McInnes’ Inneska Black Pearl.

1. Hughes’ Siberiadrift Secret To Keep. Really liked this young 2½ year old bitch of lovely quality, feminine, expressive head with good eye and well set ears, strong neck with good arch and well muscled shoulders, good leg length with correct bone and sound feet, good depth of chest with correct rib and loin, well angulated all through, she moved out with easy reach and drive covering the ground freely, pleased to award her the BCC.

2. Wynne’s Mydisa Golden Nightfury. Well presented 6 year old bitch with feminine head and keen, alert expression, well set ears, strong neck and well muscled shoulders, nicely angulated all through with good bone and sound feet, good top-line, presented in very fit, well muscled condition.

3. Jones’ Shaytaan’s Upyours at Icynights (imp CAN).

1. Rees’ Ch. Winter Melody Triple Trouble at Amical (imp POL). Beautifully presented 2½ year old bitch with feminine head and intelligent, keen expression and dark eye, nicely angulated with well arched neck and well muscled shoulders, clean, straight front with sound feet, strong top-line which she carried well standing and moving, very balanced on the move, she covered the ground well with an easy ground covering gait, presented in very fit, well muscled condition, RBCC.

2. Wakker’s Ch. Icynights Sparke in the Mist at Ceannabeinne. Another feminine bitch of lovely quality, well arched neck with soundly made front construction, straight front with good bone and feet, well angulated all through with sound top-line, strong, well muscled rear which she used to her advantage on the move, a very fit bitch presented in tip top condition.

3. McInnes’ Ch. Hushwing Happy Feet at Inneska JW.

1. Norman’s Skimarque Anna Pavlova. 11 year old veteran shown in tip top condition, feminine head with keen expression, soundly made throughout with strong neck and shoulders, good top-line and well angulated in front and rear, very sound on the move and an absolute credit to her owners for keeping her in such fit condition.

1. Penman’s Sutarka’s Calla. 1st in PB & JB.

2. Smith/Balmer’s Lyfearon How Long Is Forever. Nicely presented bitch, feminine head with keen expression, well set ears, good neck and well muscled shoulders, good body proportions, bone and sound feet, moved out well and presented in lovely, fit condition.

3. Rodgers’ Arcticskies Baileys On Ice.
