Driffield Championship Dog Show

Breed: Italian Spinone

Another breed where my first appointment should have been two years ago - and once again I wasn’t disappointed. A quality entry - and super appreciative crowd. Thank you all so much for your support.


PD (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: DUNCAN, Mrs Susan Diggmere Tiger Swallowtail. 10 months old. Well balanced all through presenting a good outline. Head developing nicely with well pronounced occiput. Short neck leading to well laid shoulder. Correct depth for his age. Well ribbed back. Strong hindquarters with well turned stifles. Moved out well with good rear drive. Coat of good harsh texture. BPD.

2nd: GLAZIK, Mrs Victoria Ellisbell Piaggio. Another very promising puppy - less forward than the winner but a month in age makes a lot of difference. Excellent head shape with well set ears. Good depth of chest. Little longer cast than the winner. Well made hindquarters. Dense coat. Moved on a good stride

3rd: SAYNOR, Ms J C Testaverde Row to the Pole


JD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: BARRETT, Mrs Shirley Delacruse Justice For Barold. I liked this young dog very much. Excellent overall balance with correct height to length ratio. Scores in head - lean with correct planes. Short neck leading to well laid shoulder and good depth of chest. Well ribbed back. Correct topline. Strong hindquarters with good turn of stifle and large hocks. Excellent coat texture. Moved with drive showing good open side gait.


PGD (4 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: DAVIES, Miss T L Montecani You're My Only Hope. Well balanced all through. Head is lean with well pronounced occiput. Short neck. Good depth of chest. Well ribbed back. Scores in his hindquarters which are very well muscled. Good tail action when moving. Excellent bone and feet.

2nd: THOMPSON, Mr J R & Mrs V A Testaverde Pyramid Song at Paradeco. Good balanced outline. Head of good length with well set ears. Well laid shoulders. Good length of ribcage. Hindquarters strong with stifles well turned. Good coat texture. Not quite the movement of the winner.

3rd: HODGSON, Mrs L Olives Daydream Believer


LD (5 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: CULLING, Mr Phil & CULLING, Mrs Terril Lucoru Fairy Tale Of New York. Well balanced all through. Lean head of correct length and oval in shape. Short neck. Well laid shoulders. Good depth of chest. Well ribbed back. Correct in topline. Strong hindquarters. Excellent coat texture. Moved well out and back and good in profile.

2nd: THOMPSON, Mr J R & Mrs V A Testaverde Back For Good at Paradeco. Slightly longer cast than the winner. Good head shape with pronounced occiput. Short neck. Correct topline. Good bone and feet. Excellent coat. Not quite the driving movement of the winner.

3rd: COLLETT, Mr I Stagerun Kestrel


OD (4 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: SANDY, Mr M Sh Ch Milisimo Mulinello. Very impressive dog. Well balanced all through with correct breed outline. Scores in his head which is lean and of good length. When viewed from the front the roof shape is evident. Short neck. Excellent layback of shoulder and return of upper arm. Good depth of chest. Very strong bone. Well ribbed back. Correct topline. Strong in hindquarters with hocks well let down and stifles well turned. On the move he displayed a really good pounding trot - one could almost hear it even on grass! Excellent coat texture. CC & BOS. 

2nd: LITTLEMORE, Miss C Sh Ch Inostricani Bell Ragazzo via Krismoor JW. Another top quality dog whom I liked very much. Excellent overall balance. Head of good length with well pronounced occiput and superb expression. Short neck leading to well laid shoulder. Good depth of chest. Well ribbed back. Very strong hindquarters with good turn of stifle. Stands on excellent bone. Coat of very good texture. Moved well with good open side gait. RCC

3rd: BOVIO, Mrs Karen Inostricani Masai at Ilsolo


PB (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: CHALLANDS, Mr & Mrs Mark & Leanne & WHITING, Miss Annilann Miss Big Girl Spanx. Absolutely super puppy. 8 months old. Excellent overall balance and breed outline. Super head - very lean but retaining the oval shape. Short neck. Excellent lay of shoulder and return of upper arm. Correct topline. Well ribbed back. Nicely made hindquarters with well turned stifles. Excellent coat texture. Moved out so well on a loose lead - she just really drove round the ring - lovely to watch. BP.


JB (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: HUTT, Miss S Karankawa Bellona. Well balanced all through with very good outline. Head lean and of good length - roof shaped when viewed from the front. Short neck. Well laid shoulder with corresponding return of upper arm. Well ribbed back. Correct topline. Strong hindquarters with good turn of stifle. Excellent coat texture. Moved out freely.

2nd: MUNRO, Mrs Michaela Talpalupo Lafayette. Longer cast than the winner. Good head shape with pronounced occiput and well set ears. Short neck leading to good layback of shoulder. Chest of good depth. Well boned. Strong hindquarters. Harsh coat. Moved steadily.


SBB (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: DUNCAN, Mrs Stephanie Diggmere Struffoli. Very smart bitch with excellent outline. Lean head of good length and shape. Short neck. Excellent lay of shoulder and return of upper arm. Chest of good depth. Well ribbed back. Correct topline. Strong hindquarters used to advantage on the move. Coat of excellent texture. Well presented and handled. BSB. Delighted to read that she went on to win the Special Beginners Group - very well done indeed.  


PGB (6 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: MUNDAY, Mrs M Montecani My Precious. I thought this bitch super. Excellent outline of correct height to length proportions. Scores in her head which is lean, of good length and roof-like when viewed from the front. Short neck leading to well laid shoulder and corresponding length of upper arm. Correct topline. Well ribbed back. Strong hindquarters with well bent stifles. Excellent coat texture. Moved very strongly.  

2nd: BOVIO, Mrs Karen Osulfs Waiting For Summer. Well balanced all through with good outline. Very good head shape of good length. Short neck. Chest of good depth. Correct topline. Strong hindquarters. Coat of harsh texture. Moved out well when viewed in profile - just a bit close going away.

3rd: PUGH, Mrs G M & PUGH, Mr J N Gellini Indian Moon


LB (6 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: WAIN, Miss J KELLY & Mr A K Lajatico Aida JW. Well balanced all through presenting good outline. Head lean and of good length. Lovely expression. Short neck leading to well laid shoulders. Good depth of chest. Correct topline. Well ribbed back. Strong hindquarters with good length and turn of stifle. Excellent coat texture. Moved well to win the class.  

2nd: COLDWELL, Mrs L A Lucoru Summer Breeze. Slightly longer cast than the winner. Head of good length and shape. Short neck leading to well laid shoulder. Good depth of chest. Well ribbed back. Well muscled hindquarters. Good coat texture. Moved on a good stride.

3rd:BENNETT, Mrs Christine Testerverde Irma Capece Del Hochopepa JW


OB (7 Entries) Abs: 2

1st: LITTLEMORE, Miss C Aurelia the Explorer of Krismoor JW. Absolutely loved her. Excellent overall balance presenting good outline. Scores in her head - lean and of good length. Roof-like when viewed from the front with well defined median furrow. Short neck with definite crest leading seamlessly into excellent lay of shoulder and corresponding return of upper arm. Good depth of chest. Correct topline. Well ribbed back. Strong, well muscled hindquarters with well bent stifles. Excellent bone. Superb coat texture. Moved out well with a lovely pounding gait and good tail action. CC & BOB. I learned this was in fact her 3rd - very well done.

2nd: BARRETT, Mrs Shirley Affilato Happy Ever After at Barold. Another top quality bitch who I liked very much. Good length of head with well pronounced occiput. Another whose expression is almost human! Strong neck leading to excellent lay of shoulder and corresponding return of upper arm. Chest of good depth. Well ribbed back. Strong hindquarters. Coat of very good texture. Moved strongly.

3rd: WAGH, Mrs & Mr D & D Sh Ch Prottino Del Vera by Dewdhala
