1st: TAIT, Mrs J Talintyre Winter Shadow. A truly lovely dog. So well balanced all through with great presence. Athletically built. Super head with nicely domed skull and clean through his muzzle. Strong, clean neck leading to copybook forehand construction. Chest of good depth. Level topline. Well sprung ribcage of good length. Scores in his hindquarters. Long from hip to hock with well bent stifles. Very accurate and powerful movement. Shown in excellent coat and condition. BD & BOB. Delighted to see him shortlisted in the Gundog Group.

2nd: CATTON, Mrs A & COOK, Mr S Daithi Shadow Dog With Ferngate (Imp Pol). Another quality dog whom I liked very much. Well balanced all through with athletic outline. Excellent head shape. Clean, long neck. Well laid shoulder. Not quite the upper arm of the winner. Level topline. Well ribbed back. Strong hindquarters. Long hip to hock with stifles correctly bent. 1st: TAIT, Mrs J Sh Ch Lovenjoel Sleeping Beauty. What a beauty she is. A real treat to go over this lovely bitch. So beautifully made all through. Excellent head with good stop and clean muzzle. Long slightly arched next leading to well laid shoulder and corresponding length of upper arm. Deep in chest. Topline strong — held standing and on the move. Well sprung ribcage of good length. Powerful hindquarters used to advantage on the move where she covered the ground with ease. In excellent coat and condition. BB. In challenge for Best of Breed she rather objected to the change of handler and gave him a very hard time - but a truly beautiful bitch in all aspects.
