Hungarian Viszlas

Thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge as replacement for Barbara Hargreaves who was not well enough to judge. I hope she improves and is back on her feet soon. Although the entry was not large it was full of quality and only 1 absentee which I thought was good considering it was a mid-week show.

Veteran Dog (0.0)

 No entries

Minor Puppy Dog (2,0abs)

1 Green Martin and Martin’s Goviz Spring Rains by Viszaset

Just 6 months old and still very raw but got himself together to produce a promising show , Good russet colour with moderate angulations Preferred his neck and shoulder placement to 2.

2 Majster’s Moonshine Trufflehunter

8.5 months old with a lot to like about him, moved out ok but was not showing as well as 1

Puppy dog (2,0)

1 Harper and Harper’s Pitswarren So Nex Century

Showing a lot of promise. He has a good length of neck which is beginning to muscle up. Level top line and moderate angulation with a slightly low set tail Straight legs and well arched toes on round shaped feet.

Moved out with drive to take Best Puppy. Pity he did not stay for the group.

2 Cooper’s Potenza Lad with Trosnant (IKC)

Quite a nice young lad who was unlucky to meet 1 today who was in top form. Needs to mature up and should do well even in good company.

Junior Dog (3,0)

1 Bradley’s Highforce All or Nothing JW

There was nothing to touch this boy in this class. Well developed with good fore chest and well sprung ribs with a slight tuck up. Good hind angulation and level top line. Moved with drive and one to watch in the future

2 Douglas’s London Magyar-Tim for Kinharrachie

13-month lad who was not as mature as 1 but has all the right credentials to do well when he grows up.

3 Cooper’s Potenza Lad with Trosnant (IKC)

Post Grad dog (3,1abs)

1 Carter’s Facanadasz Andris

Noble head with well developed nostrils and moderately low set ears, deep chest and level top line with moderate tuck up. Correct tail set. Moderate hind angulation and nice tight feet. Moved out with drive to take RCC

2 Riley’s Kinse Hunor for Canal Game

Not as balanced as 1, tail set was bit low. Short backed and well-rounded tight feet. Coarse dense coat.

Limit Dog (2,0 abs)

1 Harrison’s Glenbrows By Design JW

Deep russet in colour with well-muscled neck and good lay of shoulder. Straight forelegs and nice cat like feet. move out well in this class but did not continue in the challenge as I had considered him for the RCC

2 Elliott and Elliott’s Aldom Dark N’stormy

Mature lad with a level top line and good hind angulation. Low set ears and strong neck muscles. Unlucky to meet 1 in this class

Open dog (2,0 abs)

1 Miles’ Sh Ch Layways Van Winkle JW

Last time I judged this boy I awarded him his 1st ever RCC, today I was pleased to give him his 20th CC, and what a dog he has become, almost perfect outline from the tip of his nose to the end of his tail. He has excelled all my expectations and was delighted that he went Group 4 today CC and BOB

2 Cooper’s Potenza Lad with Trosnant (IKC)

Veteran Bitch (2,0)

1 Layton’s Sh ch Layways Lana Del Ray

Although 8 years old now, she retains her exuberance . A multi CC winning bitch who I have admired and today, she didn’t disappoint, and never put a foot wrong to take the RCC and delighted the she went Veteran G2

2 Bradley’s Sh Ch Vizslanya Vimany by Highforce JW SHCM SHCE

A Bitch who I have given top honours before and wish I and 2 first places for this class as both showed better than a lot of the youngsters…

Minor Puppy Bitch (3.0)

1 Miles’s Matravillam Zala

8 month old who I believe had a bad start to her life but she has now started to blossom which is a credit to the people who now have her. She is sired by my BOB and should do well if she continues to develop well

2 Govier’s Goviz Spring Bouquet (AI)

6-Month-old who was not looking very happy today but she has a lot of good features including a good lay of shoulder and level top line

3 Adam and Aynsley’s Vizash Elenki

Puppy Bitch (1,0)

1 Harper and Harper’s Pitswarren Siyon

Litter sister to my BP and so much to like about her but preferred the overall presence of her brother ..

Junior Bitch (3.0)

1 Upton and Challis’s Viszlanya Mafila to Tragus

I liked this young bitch a lot. Considered for the RCC but lost out to the veteran on maturity. I’m sure she will have a bright future . I like her noble feminine head and low set ears Moderate length of neck and well laid shoulders

2 Douglas’s Kimbarrachies Freda

15-Month-old, head appears a little long but has a god reach of neck and lay of shoulder. Currently falling foul of a phantom today which detracted from her overall performance

3 Nagy’s Gyurkovari Gyopar

Post Grad Bitch (4,0)

1 Carter’s Facanvadasz Banu JW

Still needs a bit of maturing to do but like her overall shape, feminine head and high withers. Good tail set and moderate angulation

2 Davies and Davies’s Shelseivad Hocus Pocus

Not trying her best today as I have seen her move and show better, still liked her enough to give her 2nd in this good class.

3 Mills’ Nemzet Kincse Gloria at Karrouki (imp)

Limit Bitch (6,0)

A lovely class of bitches

1 Fishlock and Fishlock’s Afanleigh Anna

I was splitting hairs in this class between the 1st 2 but preferred the shoulder placement of 1.Her noble head had a moderate stop with medium sized eyes and moderately low set ears. She moved out on a steady stride to win this class.

2 Harper and Harper’s Pitswarren Incantata

Another nice bitch from this kennel with a good depth of chest and well sprung ribs. Moderate angulation and good tail set.

3 Hansford and Hansford’s Hawkpoint Peregrine

Open Bitch (6,0)

1 Ward’s Danton Obsession with Tantaraviz

Not the biggest of bitches but so well proportioned. Feminine head and expression, strong moderately long neck and well laid shoulders with tight elbows. Well sprung ribs and well-developed thighs. Dense short coat of correct texture . Moved out with drive. Well handled by her young handler. Pleased to award her, her 2nd CC. I’m sure her 3rd will not be far away. CC

2 Davies and Davies’s Shelseivad Love Potion

A bitch I ‘ve liked before and she is continuing to mature well . Could have changed places very easily with 1 but she did not sparkle when on the move.

3 Govier and Govier’s Goviz Autumnal Glow
