It was an honour and privilege to be invited to judge Airedale Terriers at Crufts 2022. I wish to thank the Kennel Club and all concerned with this appointment. Thank you to my steward Sue who alone did an excellent job keeping the ring running smoothly. Thank you to all the exhibitors both home and abroad for showing under me and allowing me to go over your dog’s and to the visitors watching the judging . I hope you enjoyed your day as much as I did.

Veteran dog (4/0)

1 Int/aus/bel/cro/dan/sw/lux/ned Ch Katherine’s Land Vip Lover (Mr D E Ablard). Well presented veteran in good condition, good head, neck, shoulders, level back with tail on top , moved ok.BV

2 Sunnily Baron Raffael (Miss Pavla Hozova). Another nice veteran who enjoyed his time in the ring, decent head, good front, level back with tail on top.

Puppy dog (3/0)

1 Toulsyork Sequel (MR N & Mrs H Toulson). Quality puppy dog , good head, ears, good reach of neck, short level back, well angulated, moved well and well presented. BP.

2 Stargus Alidandini at Jolliver NAF (Mr J & Mrs D Pickering). Another quality puppy, good head, ears, level back, well angulated, nice colour, well presented , moved ok, like most pups needs time.

Post graduate dog (7/0)

1 Rus Nano Sterling Gemstone (Mr S Grigas). Nice dog who showed well, decent head, used ears, good shoulders, level back, good tail set, moved well and well presented.

2 Sunnily Royal Touch (Mrs Ruckova). Square dog ,good head, ears, level back, well angulated, well presented, moved ok.

1Russtam Jax The Gentleman (Mrs J & Mrs L Callon & Callon-winn). Good class of top dog’s, eye catching dog in top form , good head and eye, used ears, good front, short level back, tail on top, good rear, put down to perfection, in excellent condition, moved well DCC.

2 Muliebrity Wilderness (Miss D & Miss T K Hampton & Hall). Another top dog, good head and eye, ears, good front, short level back, well angulated, well presented, moved well RDCC

Open dog (10/1)

1 Ch/ir Ch Bambusa So Noble (Mr R & Mrs M Gregg). Nice head, good front, level back, tail on top, well angulated, good colour, won the class on movement.

2 Ch Crillee Maximus The Cool (Mr R I & Mrs J B Turner). Cobby dog, good head, nice reach of neck, short back, tail on top, well presented, moved ok.

Good citizen dog scheme (1/0)

1 Sherifs Red Hot ShCM VW (Miss E R Webber). Pleasing veteran dog, lovely temperment, stood alone but was not fazed by the big ring, Cobby dog with decent head and using his ears, level back, tail on top, well angulated, still has nice colour.

Veteran bitch (4/1)

1 Saredon Lorelli (Ms Fury). Good head, level back, tail on top, good colour, well presented, showed well.

2 Clydebrook Lady Gaga mit Saffronstars (Mrs & Mr Wendelberger-James & James). Longer cast than 1 , initially looked overawed but then started to show for her young handler and moved ok, finer trimming required.

Puppy bitch (2/0)

1 Toulsyork Summer Syke (Mr N & Mrs H Toulson). Litter sister to puppy dog winner, good head, ears, good front, level back, tail on top, good rear, well presented, moved well.

2 Rillaton Angelicas Spice (Mrs L J Aylett). Longer cast than 1, decent head and ears, moved ok.

Junior bitch (4/0)

1 Muliebrity Summer Sun (Miss D & Miss T K Hampton & Hall). Confident young bitch, good head, used ears, nice reach of neck, short back ,tail on top, well angulated, showed well and well presented.

2 Bellamunro Royal Pied Piper (Mrs M Du Toit). Not the head as 1, still a nice bitch, used her ears, decent reach of neck, short level back, tail on top, a little light in colour, moved ok.

Post graduate bitch (14/1)

1 Crillee Carry On Baby Be Mine with Bellamunro (Mrs M Du Toit). Good head and expression, used her ears, good front, reach of neck into level back with tail op top, well angulated, good coat, nicely presented, moved ok.

2 Sunnily Rising Sun ( Mrs Ruckova). Decent head and reach of neck into short back with tail on top, nice colour well presented, showed and moved well.

Limit bitch (9/1)

1 Stargus Sea of Gold (Mrs L Lee). Quality bitch , lovely head and eye, used ears, nice reach of neck , good front, short level back, good spring of rib, tail on top, lovely rear in excellent condition, well presented, showed and moved with drive. BCC & BOB.

2 Muliebrity Ocean Bay (Miss D & Miss T K Hampton & Hall). Another quality bitch, good head, used her ears, lovely reach of neck, good front, short level back, tail on top, well angulated, good colour, moved well.

Open bitch (5/0)

1 Jokyl Rising Star (Mrs S Underwood). Lovely head and ears, good front, nice neck, short level back, tail on top, well angulated, well presented and handled, showed well RBCC.

2 Ch/ir Ch Bambusa Follow The Dream (Mr R & Mrs M Gregg). Very nice little bitch, good head, ears, good front, level back with tail on top, nice colour, well presented.

Good citizen bitch (5/2)

1 Wendaire Kissed by An Angel JW ShCM ShCEx (Ms W A Edington-Hall). Good head, ears, eyes, good reach of neck into level back, tail on top, well angulated, lovely coat and colour, showed well, well presented.

2 Kaolin Little Miss Sparkle (Miss E R Webber). Decent head and ears, nice neck, level back, tail on top, well angulated, moved ok, well presented.
