SCOTTISH KENNEL CLUB Ch. SHOW 20TH -22ND MAY 2022
ROYAL HIGHLAND SHOWGROUNDS EDINBURGH.
Due to the Covid lockdown, it has been a few years since I last judged our lovely breed. It was gratifying to see how many had matured over the few years and great to go over so many I had never seen before.
The quality of the exhibits in general, was very good. I had no issues with temperaments and other than a few level bites, mouths were general good. Movement was varied and there were quite a few dogs who, although well-muscled at rear, did not drive as expected. Also some close rear movement was evident.
I was delighted with all my placed dogs but in some classes, it was a difficult decision between places due to their quality.
I was impressed at the performance, in the Group ring, of all the exhibits I sent through. Super to see both the Veteran and the Special Beginners exhibits winning Group 1. Also, it was great to see my best puppy taking everything in her stride!
Thank you all for letting me have the opportunity to assess your dogs and I wish you all every success and lots of fun with your Goldens.
GOLDEN RETRIEVERS.
