13 months old, balanced outline, good bone, small feet with arched toes. Feminine head with balanced planes, loved her expression, kind eye, pleasing eye shape. Firm top line, good spring of rib, very good turn of stifle, good quality coat, expertly handled, moved well.

2nd - Jones’ Gwendariff Dazzling Diva. RBOB.

Another appealing head with nice expression. 15 month old bitch with good coat colour and very good bone. In fit and hard condition, neat backend, pleasing ribs well back.

3rd - Seaborne’s Gwendariff It Must Be Magic.

POST GRADUATE (2, 1 abs)

1st - Heather’s S My Fair Lady.

OPEN ( 2, 0abs)

1st - Heather’s Sixoaks Leading Lady.

Balanced outline, shoulders well laid back, straight front, good sweep from stifle to hock. Well handled, moved well, just preferred feet, rib and presentation of her daughter for BOB.

2nd - Seaborne’s G It Must Be Magic.

3rd in Junior, and at 16 months of age he is growing up in every way, needs to settle, but that will come with time and training. Super head, oval skull with equal length to deep muzzle, kind eye and appealing expression. Impressive spring of rib, excellent bone and feet. Firm backend with hind legs parallel from behind, good coat in rich dark colour.

RETRIEVER (LABRADOR)

JUNIOR (5, 1 abs)

1st – Jones’ Serengoch On The Rocks. RBOB + BP.

Just 6 months old, what a promising baby! Balanced outline of this sweet black bitch, loved her expression from medium sized eyes, she used her ears well, obviously has a will to please, wagged all the time she was in the ring. Straight front, good bone, well padded round feet, ribs reached well back, broad quarters, well schooled for one so young.

2nd – Dodd’s Carriegame Precious Jewel.

Black bitch, 17 months old, showed well, wagged, and was happy in the ring. Well laid shoulders, appealing body properties, barrel ribs, broad quarters, excellent turn of stifle, parallel hind pasterns when viewed from behind. Tight feet. Preferred eye shape of winner.

3rd – Stewart’s Streamanda Guelder Rose.

POST GRADUATE (3, 2 abs)

1st – Nightingale’s Flyenpyg Snazzy Sniffer.

One I have judged before, this black bitch still appeals for balance of height to length, ideal body properties, wide and firm all through, well schooled, well handled, together they always put on a good performance. Very attentive to handler, dark eyes, ears set well back, broad skull, neck set well into sloping shoulders, very good ribs, no sign of cow hocks, hind pasterns parallel when viewed from the rear. Straight front, close up for RBOB.

OPEN (2, 0 abs)

1st – Dodd’s Carriegame Moonshine. BOB.

What a wonderful example of the breed. Black dog. His fitness and good construction enabled him to move steadily and true, very well handled. Masculine head, so very balanced, kind eye with appealing expression. He flowed well, neck and body in proportion, level topline and tailset, he used his tail well, wagging all the time. Straight front, good layback of shoulder, excellent spring and length of ribcage, very good backend, firm with good muscling, parallel from behind, well turned stifles with hocks low to the ground. Nearly lost out for BOB due to his coat being rather dirty.

2nd – Jones’ Serengoch Wildest Dreams.

Balanced body properties of this chocolate coloured bitch, her coat was not at it’s best today, and she appeared out of condition. Attentive to handler, stronger head than some today, very well defined stop, broad skull but would prefer more width of muzzle, ears set rather high. Could have been presented better.

SPANIEL (COCKER)

POST GRADUATE (5, 1 abs)

1st – Sewell’s Quattrozampe Chuffed ‘T Bits. BOB + BP.

10 month old orange roan bitch. Did everything right today to win this lovely class and BOB. Super balance from every angle, classic outline, well angulated at each end. Feminine head with well developed skull and square muzzle. Moderate length of neck leading to level topline and well set on tail. Nicely sloping shoulders, good bone, lovely bend of stifle. Excellent presentation of clean and good quality coat, very well handled.

2nd – Collier’s Pepperbox Back In Time.

Handy sized blue roan dog, just coming up to 2 years of age, and maturing nicely. Masculine head, not overdone, clean chiselling, square muzzle, expressive eyes. Level topline, happy and waggy, enjoying his day out, adores his handler, they make a great team. Well presented and schooled. Didn’t quite have the angulation of 1st.

3rd – Bevis & Norrie-Miller’s Popocatepetl Tomfoolery.

OPEN (3, 1abs)

1st – Collier’s Gardenstone Glamour Girl at Pepperbox JW RL3.X ShCM. RBOB.

This lovely blue roan 7 year old bitch was just pipped for BOB today. In full, well presented coat, filled my eye for balance of outline, loved her expression. Muscular neck flowing to level topline, carrying just the right amount of weight with well sprung ribs. Straight legs fore and aft, good bone and cat like feet. Well schooled, ground covering movement, ably assisted by sympathetic and gentle handler.

2nd – Sewell’s Wintonia Hidden Gem at Quattrozampe.

Would have just preferred a few pounds less on this blue roan 5 year old bitch. Good length of neck into well constructed shoulders, flowed into level topline, equal angulation behind, excellent bend of stifle, muscular hind quarters, straight legs. Nicely proportioned all through, well presented, movement true coming and going and covered the ground well in profile. Expertly handled.

WEIMARANER

JUNIOR (2, 0 abs)

1st – Matthews’ Silvermews Solaris. BP.

Sympathetic handler got the best out of this beautifully balanced 6 month old dog. Straight front, strong bone, level topline, ribs with good spring and good length to ribcage, short loin. Good bend of stifle, hind legs parallel when viewed from the rear

2nd – Davies & Brown’s Wystry One Mint Julep.

This 17 month old bitch stood beautifully, although at times she had her tail between her legs. Good bone, feminine head, moderately long neck, tidy shoulders, deep through the chest, good length to ribcage and with pleasing spring, adequate bend of stifle and well muscled hindquarters. Moved well, in fit, hard condition. Just preferred the front of winner today.

POST GRADUATE 2, 1 abs)

1st – Pearman’s Weipowa Denton at Britmans. RBOB.

Once settled this powerful male showed he had a lovely outline. Well up to size, balanced from every angle, was a pleasure to judge, just would have preferred a few extra pounds covering his ribs. Appealing head, level planes, balanced proportions, kind expression. Excellent bone, easy on the eye in profile movement, was straight and true coming and going, even muscletone throughout.

OPEN (3, 1 abs)

1st – Burgess’ Gunalt Vettel to Hantzburg. BOB.

This male stole the day for his wonderful ground covering movement, in fit and hard condition with excellent muscletone. Quality head with aristocratic properties, clean cut neck to nice lay of shoulder, deep chest and straight front, very good bone. Firm and well developed hindquarters, parallel when viewed from the rear, good bend of stifle and hocks low to the ground.

2nd – Pearman’s W Denton at B.

Please see critique for 1st in PG.

AV IMPORTED REGISTER (GUNDOG)

OPEN (3, 2 abs)

1st – Humphreys’ Aligngriffs Elysees (Korthals Griffon).

3 year old bitch of workmanlike appearance, correct harsh coat, straight forelegs with good bone, strong, round feet, stands parallel when looking from behind. Balanced head, kind eye with intelligent expression, shoulders long in blade and set well back, firm and muscular body, ribbed well back, enough turn of stifle. Nice and straight coming and going, covered the ground well, with driving action, well handled.
