Japanese Akita Inu Club

Judge Ms T Forsey (Muzoku).

I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge the Specials Classes at their JAIUC Show. Also, thankyou to all the exhibitors for their fabulous entries and their very warm welcome and kind comments afterwards. It was a real honour to Judge such a beautiful breed.

Class A Special Puppy (4, 3a)

1. Abreu and Cascia’s GYOKUSHO GO KODAI AN DELL’ANTIICO MATAGI (RAF TAF)

Although this youngster stood alone it did not detract from his quality. He had a well-developed head for his age with a super expression Broad skull with no wrinkle, small dark eyes, thick well furred ears and very good pigment. Moderate angles correct tuck up. Very good coat texture. A little unsettled on the move initially but once he settled moved well.

.

Class B Special Yearling (8, 3a)

A strong class of very nice, very promising youngsters. This was a great class to judge with some close decisions

1. Thompson and Chapman’s TSOYU TAMASHINO GO

A Very pretty 11 month old Brindle with a beautiful head and expression. Moderate length to neck leading to a level back. Moderate ribcage. Well-toned all through with super coat texture and well set and tightly curled tail. A little enthusiastic to start with but once she settled she showed a rhythmic gait, a little cracker.

2. Bennett and Chapmans SEIJITSU AMAFUMI GO TSOYU.

Lovely red male with a super head, dark eye, good pigment and thick well set ears. Good bone, body tone and moderate angulation front and rear. Very clean mover in all directions

Class C Special Open (12, 3a)

 1. Bennetts TSOYU MURASAKI GO SEIJIITSU

A super exhibit who presented a beautiful outline. Exquisite head, balanced, moderate angles with correct coat and tail set to complete the picture. She had a style and class about her and she was so elegant yet covered the ground well while maintaining her topline.

2. Thompson and Chapman’s TSOYU REIZENHIME GO

Half sister to my special yearling winner with similar head qualities and pretty expression. Moderate angulation, enough bone and nice feet. I would prefer her to have a little more length of leg to complete the picture However on the move she covered the ground with ease.
