Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at your open show , it’s been a long 18 months since shows stopped . An excellent show run extremely well . Good size rings and lovely show ground . Thank you to my steward Kerry for keeping everything running smoothly .

Afghan Hounds

Class Limit (2,0)

1st Mitchell, Thornton & Smithson, Absolute Afghans India At Karnak NAF TAF

Black mask gold puppy bitch, balanced outline with good front angulation, level top line with good fall away at the croup, strong underjaw, won this class and was BP on her steady movement. Good length of stride.

2nd Harwoods Krishan Rainbow Warrior,

A young dog that needs time to develop and strengthen, he is houndy and has a masculine head and good length of neck, large feet. Just not as steady in the move today.

1st Smithson & Mitchell Zandahar Xplosive Storm

Presented a balanced picture stood

Attractive young male with masculine head, long neck, level topline and ringed tail

Shown in good coat. Very enthusiastic on the move showing a good length of stride.

1st Hardcastle & Bradley, Vizslanya Sziena JW, elegant young bitch beautifully balanced, full of quality and presents a lovely balanced outline, good fore chest, correct layback of shoulder, short strong loin and good spring of ribs, moves as she is built, so correctly showing a long easy stride. A very nice example of the breed RBOB

Another nice young bitch , balanced outline and moderate in angulation front and rear .

Feminine head , moderate stop . Shown in good muscular condition , not as confident as 1st

A bitch I have judged before and excellent example of the breed , lovely size and shown in great muscular condition , good layback of shoulder and moderate rear angulation. She won this class and BOB on her movement , showing drive and very easy long stride . A bitch full of quality .

2nd no details in catalogue .

A bitch I have judged and done well for before , another excellent example of the breed ,I haven’t changed my mind about her , compact and strong but still feminine and elegant .

On the move she does not look her age . Moves very well showing a good length of stride .

Class Puppy (2,0)

1st Atkinson’s Foxrush Too True NAF , yellow young boy who is up to size but balanced and presented a good outline , masculine head , good ear set . Shown in good condition . Steady on the move , very much a puppy and needs time to become more confident . BP

2nd Jameson , Berolee A Star Is Born ,

I preferred the head on the 1st , only 6 months and typical lab puppy , kind expression , dark eye and decent front angulation . Little bit unsteady on the move but she has good potential .

Class Yearling (2,0)

1st Keith & Wrightsons Swiftriver Harvest Mouse ,

Yellow bitch , shown in good muscular condition and good coat .

Kind expression , dark eye , balanced angulation front and rear . She moved well , steady and true . Handler just needs to gain confidence .

2nd Parkinson’s Burnthorn Morning Mist

Black bitch , liked her head and expression . Not holding her topline on the move today and was not in her best body condition

Class Post Grad (3,1)

1st Dawson Beskerby Nutcracker , yellow typy bitch , good head with dark eye , kind expression , balanced angulation front and rear , excellent spring of ribs , good muscular condition ,correct tailset , tight feet and moved true and correctly showing a good length of stride which won her BOB

2nd Brambles Shaymiloney Stormin Nelli

2yr old black bitch , I liked her head and expression, good fore chest and layback of shoulder . I just preferred the overall balance of 1st placed . She moved steady.

1st Parkinson’s Burnthorn barley Twist ,

3yr old yellow bitch presents a balanced picture stood , good head with defined stop , correct ear set , well made front and steady on the move .

Class Open (2,0)

1st Dawson Beskerby Pageant , up to size male but very well made , broad in head but not coarse , defined stop and correct ear set , well sprung ribs , good muscular condition , once settled he moved well .

2nd Parkinson’s Burnthorn Box office , mature bitch , not as balanced in outline as dog but typy head with good expression , good forechest with good layback of shoulder . Moving a little close behind today .

Class Special Yearling ( (2,0)

1st Calvert’s Calvdale Hostage Of Fortune A lovely young bitch who has a beautiful head and expression , good reach of neck sitting into good shoulders , well sprung ribs with nicely angulated rear quarters . She moved well well around the ring . Shown in good coat and condition .  

2nd Jenkinson Eastriding Royal Black , quality young male , he is just at the teenager stage but has a typy head with a super masculine expression . Good reach of neck , angulation front & rear were balanced , good bone and tight feet . Moved well . The bitch was just a bit more together on the move today .

1st Chandler , Elazlan Right Of Reply , my star of the day , quality bitch , very feminine but with substance , good reach of neck into excellent front , lovely body proportions , strong bone and well let down hocks . Great drive on the move . BOB

Class Open (5,3)

1st Willey Speeton Sea Grace , nice bitch with good body proportions , good fore chest , correct bend of stifle and well let down hocks . Shown in good coat and condition and moved well .RBOB

2nd Gibson Calvdale Rag Nymph , nature bitch , balanced outline , with typy head , feminine expression , good reach of neck . Moving a little wide in front today .

1st Evans & Pavey Joneva Just Because, young O/W bitch full of quality , , beautiful shape stood , lovely series of curves , well angulated front and rear , gorgeous typy head with defined stop . She moved very well covering the ground easily . Shown in super muscular condition . She really is lovely RBOB

2nd Bond , Joneva Just My Style , litter brother to 1, he shares so many of the same qualities, all in the male form , lovely curves and good fore chest. Well off for bone. He moves very well showing good drive and length of stride.

1st Evans & Pavey Joneva Esmeralda Of Strideview ,

Beautiful , quality bitch with excellent front and typy head , lovely expression , she flows from the tip of her nose to her bee sting tail . Outline curvy and well angulated rear end , hocks well let down . Moved with drive and free flowing stride . Delighted to award her BOB  

2nd Turton Joneva Molly Malone For Hollybirch another nice bitch from this Kennel , lovely outline stood , pretty head with good expression . Lovely curvy angles front and rear .

Just preferred the positive movement of 1 today .

Strong bone , lovely young dog , handler just needs to be more confident with him . He moved well . BP

Nice bitch , nice outline stood , level topline , deep through chest and well sprung ribs , shown in good coat with correct face furnishings and coat of correct texture . Moved steadily BOB

1st Pearson Kelevra Covo Di Ladri , very feminine puppy but still has substance , correct head with enough stop , strong neck into well laid back shoulders , good depth of chest and well ribbed back , good width to second thigh . Moved very well for her age. BP

Well made dog , strong bone , correct head type , divergent head planes , lean cheeks and good size ears . Sufficient stop , short couplings and shown in excellent muscular condition , moved very well .

1st Pearson Braccorions Nesta Vipas

A top quality bitch , square outline and full of breed type , correct head planes , lean cheeks , with correct dewlap, moderate strong neck ,firm topline which rises slightly over croup . She is very feminine but strong and moves so very well , covering the ground easily at one with her handler . BOB

2nd Sanderson Owlpoints Trouble At the Mill ShCM ShCEx BW NL’18

Masculine dog who is well balanced almost square in outline , head of good type with correct dewlap , strong bone and croup falling away slightly , he moves with power and drive carrying his tail correctly . 1st & 2nd could change easily places on an other day RBOB

Lovely young bitch with correct body proportions , feminine but with substance , well muscled , good angulations front and rear . Moved very well . At one with her handler .RBOB

A dog who belittles his age , a fine example of the breed , lovely outline stood , correct in body proportions , masculine head with enough stop . Shown in good coat and muscular condition . So lovely for a judge to go over a quality dog . BOB

1st Crookes & Jenkinson, Quakerhall Flare By Pandora

Two nice puppies but I preferred the balance of 1st at this stage and more typical in head , good angulations front & rear . Lovely expression , dark eye and shown very well . Moved steady and true , the more she moved the better she got . Should have a bright future .

2nd Bennett , Gold Tote ma Belle (IMp RUS ) not as balanced in body proportions , head is feminine and pretty expression . Good length of neck sitting into her shoulders . Decent spring of rib . On the move not as positive as 1st

1st Trafford Wynrita Misti Daze  

Really liked this bitch , she has a lovely head with soft expression, good pigmentation . Good reach of neck sitting into a well made front , good depth through chest and well sprung ribs .

She looks very balanced stood and was true and correct on the move . Good footfall and a pleasure to award her BOB

2nd Shaw Basket Of Blooms , well constructed bitch , pretty head with kind expression , well ribbed back and short coupled . Short from hock to heel but just not as steady on the move today

1st,Sherlock Crimicar Just A Dream, really liked this young bitch , sweetest of heads , good front , body short and well ribbed . Moved well , short hocks let her drive round the ring , holding her topline at all times , lovely tail action . RBOB 

2nd Sewell Kerriglow Can Can For Quattrozampe , black bitch , who was very balanced , feminine head . Little longer cast than first but well made quarters which she used well to move soundly and true with typical Merry action .

1st , Lowery , Amaroanne Apollo JW , smart compact dog ,male head but without course ness , good neck and shoulders , compact body , correct bone and shown in lovely coat and muscular condition , which allowed him to move merrily round the ring , 

2nd Sherlock Crimicar Dream Lover , typy blue bitch , well made throughout ,good through neck and correct layback of shoulder , well ribbed back and hocks well let down , moved well . 

3rd Sewell Kerriglow Dream Again For Quattrozampe

1st Lowery Amaroanne Theos JW , real quality dog who catches your eye, he is very balanced and has substance throughout , very attractive head , chiselling below eye , 

Good spring of rib and excellent hind quarters , well let down hocks , he moves with drive and that very typical merry tail action . BOB 

2nd Sewell Wintonia Hidden Gem At Quattrozampe , stylish bitch with pretty head and dark eye. Good ear set , well ribbed and strong through her quarters , movement was good , just not holding her topline on the move today .
