North Riding Gundog Open Show – 29/05/2021 - Judge Rhoneen Schoneville (Balvenie)

I would like to thank the Club for inviting me to judge and give thanks to the exhibitors who entered their dogs. It was a very good entry and a pleasure to be able to go over some lovely dogs today.

Puppy Dog or Bitch 5:3

1st 162. Bowman’s SHARRALE AALIS

Lovely well put together 8 mth old bitch with the most pleasing of heads. A feminine soft expression and correct eye shape. Nice front construction with well placed shoulders and elbows. Well off for bone. Good muscle tone. Good length. Moved very well. -BP

2nd 164. Brown & Filby’s WINTERWELL TAHTLLDO FOR DESJIEM

Another very pleasing bitch with good overall balanced appearance. Nice evenly proportioned head, good reach of neck falling into laid back shoulders. Nice front and rear construction. Close call between my first place but on the day I preferred the movement of my 1st place.

1st 170. Gatcliffe’s ALLEZWECK EDESSA

Beautiful flashy bitch with an excellent expression, lovely reach of neck falling into excellent shoulder placement. Balanced and well constructed front and rear, with good muscle tone and good angulation and good length. Correct tail set. Harsh coat. Excellent movement showing good drive and covering the ground well.

2nd 172. Sielski’s ORCHIDSTAR BOLTS OF SPEED

Very nicely put together dog with a lovely soft expression. Evenly proportioned head with a dark eye and correct ear set. Good reach of neck, well placed shoulders, good front angulation and well placed elbows. Lovely neat feet. Good depth of chest and nice overall length with good tuck up. Good rear angulation with good muscle tone. Lovely tail set, carried on the move. Moved well with obvious drive.

1st 192. Scott’s SOLWAYPOINT INDIANA – B0B

This dog caught my eye as soon as he entered the ring, with his abundance of ring presence and alertness. He stood out on the move. Beautiful masculine boy with a stunning balanced head with a nice soft eye and soft expression that melted my heart. Correct ear set which just enhanced his lovely expression. Strong muscled neck with good reach and falling into excellent shoulder placement. Well placed elbows, good bone and lovely feet. Good depth of chest and spring of rib. Short backed and nice tuck up with good rear angulation and muscle. Excellent coat, presented in good condition. Good tail set. Movement out and back was excellent and in profile he excelled covering the ground with ease showing good reach and excellent drive. A pleasure to go over this boy. - BOB

Lovey balanced solid liver girl who does not disappoint when you go over her. Feminine head with a soft expression. Good reach of neck and well placed shoulders. Nice spring of rib and good depth of chest. Good length, good rear angulation and good muscle tone. Excellent on the move, keeping her topline and covering the ground effortlessly.

Attractive dog, nicely presented, stood in good proportions with short back and covering the ground well. Head in proportion with a dark eye. Good reach of neck, nice shoulder placement, depth of chest and spring of rib. Well placed elbows. Well angulated at the rear with good muscle tone. Nice feet. Moved with drive and reach. RBOB

Nice feminine girl. Lovely reach of neck, good layback of shoulders with good angulation overall. Good depth of chest, nice elbows. Nice tight feet. Well muscled and presented in good condition. Moved well with good reach and drive.
