Puppy (3,1)

1st Bawden’s Balsamina Beachcomber at Darthill. What a super youngster. 9mth D. Lovely outline with gorgeous head, dark eyes, good stop and a cheeky expression. Well laid shoulders over well deep well sprung ribs with good forechest. Nice amount of bone with neat feet. Level topline flowing into his tail. Deep through the loin to a well angled rear. Good coat. True and steady on the move once into his stride secured him BP & RBOB. So pleased to hear he went on to win Puppy Group 2 and then RBOB Group 2. Well done.

2nd Hewitson’s Seruilia Shining Star. Another nice puppy, this a 10mth B. Feminine throughout with a good head proportions and dark eyes. Well made forequarters, level topline and correct tailset. Depth through the body with good bone and neat feet. Moved with drive.

Graduate (5,2)

1st Riley’s Wylloh Lost in Translation. 17mth D. What a lovely youngster. Masculine head of good proportions with soft expression. Well balanced throughout with lovely forequarters, well laid shoulders over deep chest and well sprung ribs, good forechest, nice amount of bone and neat feet. Level topline over a short well muscled loin to a correctly set on tail that kept wagging. He has an easy gait with lovely reach and drive whilst true fore and aft. Pleased to hear that today he earned the final point for his JW. BOB

2nd. Peters & Beresford’s Jackorolls Mint. 27mth D. Different to my winner being a little longer and a little taller. Good breadth of skull but tapers a little to the nose. Well laid shoulders and deep ribs but I would like a little more forechest. Good level topline and correct tailset. Correct rear angles. Moved steady and true

1st. Hewitson’s Seruilia Splash of Class. What a sweetie. Lovely feminine head with correct proportions, nice dark eye and always smiling. Super forequarters, good amount of bone and neat feet. Deep well sprung ribs under a level topline. Lacks a little in hind angulation but moved well.

Such an even class with 4 promising puppies.

1st Needs’ Covarney It Takes Time. 7mth D. Lovely outline on the stand. Masculine head of correct shape & developing well with dark eyes. Long clean neck to a well made front with forechest and well laid shoulders. Nice amount of bone and neat feet. Stood with a very slight slope to his straight topline. Nice depth of chest and lean all through. Good rear angulation and correct tailset. Very easy on the move with good drive.

2nd. Hadfield’s Covarney Time After Time for Marzanne. 7Mth B and 2nd of 3 siblings in the class. Beautifully feminine with long lean head atop a good length of neck. Well made forehand but not the forechest of her brother. Straight topline to a well angled rear. Another good example of breed type. Moved with drive but not quite the coordination of the winner.

Junior (7,1)

1st Berresford’s Jettsetter Wind of Dreams (Imp Rus). 15mth D. Loved his outline on the stand. Long lean head with dark eye. I thought he had a ‘naughty’ expression and boy did he have fun. Lovely length of neck into well laid shoulders, good bone and neat feet. Gently sloping topline into a well set tail that he carried well. Correct rear angles and carrying a nice coat. He enjoyed himself on the move rather more than his handler but showed enough true driving movement to win the class.

2nd. Pike’s Redclyst The Celt. 14mth D. I liked his shape and his clean outline. Pleasing head & eyes. Well laid shoulders but needs to develop depth of chest and forechest. Lovely topline and correct tailset with good rear angles. Moved well with drive.

A full class and some nice dogs ending up down the line.

1st. Beldham’s Redclyst Charlie Brown at Bowringlee 3yr D. Liked his overall shape. Lovely head of good shape with dark eyes. Good length of neck to well made forequarters with well laid shoulders, good forechest and depth of rib through to a well angled rear. Correct topline with slight slope to a well set tail although he can be proud of it on the move. Carrying a good coat to complete the picture. On the move he was true with good drive

2nd. Bridgwater, Green & Wheeldon’s Bridgella’s Don’t Push It. 2yr B. Lovely feminine racy B. Head of correct length and shape with nice dark eyes. Well made fore and aft with correct top line and tail set. Nice amount of bone and neat feet. Moved true with drive. Well muscled, broad, hindquarters with good angles.

1st Hadfield’s Staratlanta Get A Wiggle On to Marzanne. Just what I was looking for. Super overall shape. Masculine head, long and lean of correct proportions, dark eye to give a soft expression. Moderate, muscular neck that flows into beautiful forequarters that just feel right. Well laid shoulder, good length of upper arm and good forechest. Nice amount of bone. Deep ribs under a gently sloping topline to a well set and well carried tail. True mover all round, free driving action in profile.Pleased to award him the class and he carried on impressing in the challenge to win BOB.

2nd. Pym, Bott & Milligan-Bott’s Thendara Marshmello JW. Another lovely boy. 3yrs, Correct outline and masculine head of correct shape with dark eyes. Long neck into well made forequarters with a deep chest. Good angles to the rear and moved true with drive.

1st. Rorke’s Cataluna May Queen at Zakhan. 6yr mature B. Loved her overall shape. Feminine through head and body and in good coat. Correct head proportions and shape with dark eyes. Good length of neck through to well laid shoulders, return of upper arm and good forechest. Slight slope to topline over deep chest to a well angled rear. Nice bone and feet. Best of movers, true, effortless with good drive. RBOB

1st. Woodgate’s Snowshoes Ring Presence. 3yrs, strong masculine D. Lovely for size and type and with a happy persona. Broad head with good width between the ears with nice dark eye. Strong muscular neck into very well made forequarters with straight front, good amount of bone and short pasterns. Well muscled all through his body, deep chest to a short deep loin and a correct, moderately angled, muscular rear. Correct slight slope to his topline, well set tail that he loves to wag. Easy powerful gait, true all round with powerful drive. May have been standing alone here to win BOB but kept impressing to win Working Group 1. Thrilled to then watch him win Reserve Best in Show.

1st.Andrews’ Freybear Carbon Copy by Aveyrew. Dog and handler making their show debuts and what a great job they both did. A raw 23mth D with a nice head of good breadth and depth. Well made forequarters with straight front and a good amount of bone. Chest needs to develop but will come with maturity. On the move he was lovely to watch, easy smooth gait with drive. Well done both. BOB

1st.Crotty’s Dacfolke Eaton At Soullaria. At just 13mths this boy is another youngster with potential. Lovely head, well-proportioned with nice eyes and expression with a lovely full black mask. Good length of neck flowing into well made forequarters with good bone and neat feet. Body developing well with good depth and spring of rib. Moderate angles behind. Moved with ease, true fore and aft with good drive and correct tail carriage. BOB

1st.Taylor & Taylor-Morris’ Pelenrise Don’t Let Me Go. Well, what can I say about this stunning 8mth B. Loved her outline. Super head of correct proportions with a dark eye and a cheeky expression. Lovely well set ears that she uses well. Good length of neck into a super front assembly. Well laid shoulders and slightly sloping upper arm sit on well sprung and correctly shaped ribs reaching down to elbow. Level topline over a short loin with slight tuck up to a super, moderately angled rear and correctly set tail. On the move she is true & light with reach and drive that makes her a joy to watch. Pleasure to give her BOB and BP then Working Puppy Group 1. Thought she deserved something in the big ring.

2nd.Crowther’s Kobuk Foxtail Lily. 3yr White B. Pleasing head, ears set a little wide. Well made front, legs straight, well laid shoulders. Level topline over correct depth of chest and well muscled loin with slight tuck up. Moderate rear angles. Another good mover.

A class of youth vs maturity

1st. Taylor & Taylor-Morris’ Pelenrise Don’t Stop Moving. 8mth D and every bit as well made as his sister, super head with lovely eyes and expression but I do prefer his sister’s ears. Well arched neck to correctly made forequarters, straight front with good bone and neat feet. Chest reaching to elbow and back to a short loin of good depth. A level topline to a correctly angled rear. Another super mover, pushed his sister all the way. RBOB.

2nd. Crowther’s Kobuk Midnight Stargazer ShCM VW. The other end of the spectrum this 10yr old is lovely for type. Super head with well set ears into medium length neck. Well laid shoulders with correct upper arm and a straight front with enough bone. Still holds a level topline and good tailset. Losing a bit of muscle behind now which affects his rear movement.

1st.Horton & Williams’ Gertlush Glory Of The West ShCM. This 9yr old came out on top out of these two very nice boys. I preferred him for size and overall shape over the younger boy. Super head with good proportions, dark eyes and well set ears. Muscular body with sloping shoulders and a good amount of forechest. Deep well sprung ribs back to a short loin. True mover. BOB

2nd.Cox’s Alonzobar Wile Ecoyote at Rainwilds. Built on a bigger frame this 3yr old Brindle D. Head of good shape and proportions. Well made front, Deep well sprung ribs through strong loin to well muscled rear. Moved with Drive. RBOB

1st Akehurst’s Kernow Loving Pledge. Lovely masculine 3yr old dog of good size and shape. Liked his head and expression. Well made forequarters, well off for bone and neat round feet. Deep through chest and loin to broad rear. Good turn of stifle. Correct tailset and carriage. Did his best to throw the class away but I could see enough. BOB

2nd.Richard’s Durrbachler Von Zambara Jasmin at Dacfolke (Imp Rom). 3yr B. Lovely feminine head but retaining the appearance of strength. Nice dark eyes. Well made forequarters with good bone and feet. Deep chest through to a well angled rear. Not settled on the move especially going away. RBOB

1st Franklin’s Shinglebay I’ve Gotta Be Me. Pleasing 4yr B. Feminine but with good breadth to skull, short clean muzzle and dark eyes. Well made front with good lay of shoulder but lacks forechest. Good amount of bone. Nice length of body with level topline through to a well angulated rear. Out of coat today and somewhat preoccupied on the move but showed some good drive. RBOB

2nd.Newton’s Stelamah Quiang at Shlarra JW ShCM. Lovely 5yr Dog. Good head proportions and shape with nice dark eyes. Well made Forequarters with good bone. Deep chest and loin to well angulated rear. Moved well but not as smooth behind as 1.

Straight front with good amount of bone and neat feet. Deep chest under straight topline with correct slight slope. Well angled, muscular rear. Moved with ease, true coming and going with good drive. RBOB

2nd.Parker’s Tuwos Lyra (IKC). 18mth B. Another lovely shape with super head and neck. Well made forequarters, deep chest and loin. Good rear angles. Another true mover, just not the drive of my winner.

Correct topline over deep chest and loin. I prefer a tail with less curl. Well angled rear and moved true with drive.

Well muscled forequarters with well laid shoulders and good forechest. Good amount of bone and neat feet. Level topline sits over deep well spring ribs. Deep through loin to muscular, well angled rear. Free but powerful on the move with good drive. BOB

2nd.Verran’s Megalmar Cecelia for Lorozain. 3yr B built on larger frame than 1. Feminine head of good breadth and dark eyes. Good body proportions, well made forequarters with well laid shoulders, good forechest and well sprung ribs through to level topline. Good bone but a little down on front pasterns. Another good mover but not a clean behind at the winner. RBOB

Nice crest of neck to well made forequarters with well laid shoulders and good forechest. Deep chest reaching to elbow, correct depth of loin to good rear angulation. True mover with good drive. BP then Working Puppy Group 2

2nd.Dawe & Bond’s Winuwuk Wannabe. 8mth Brindle B. Another well made youngster, longer through body at the moment. Lovely head, feminine of good shape and proportions with good stop and dark eyes. Nice crest of neck into well laid shoulders and good depth of chest and nice tuck up. Moves well although not a settled behind as 1.

1st Hepworth’s Kaotik Chequered Flag 4yr Red B. Very feminine but with good depth to head. Dark eyes and mask. Well laid muscular shoulders but lacks forechest. Good bone and feet. Chest down to elbow with good tuck-up to well angulated rear. Steady mover but easily distracted today.

1st Richards’ Markinshell Pombear at Dajoxx. 3yr Red D and what a gorgeous boy he is. Correct shape and outline with a lean muscular body. Love his head, good shape, size and proportions with dark mask and eyes and distinct stop. Powerful neck with good arch to a super forehand. Well laid shoulders and good forechest, deep chest, correct tuck-up through to well muscled and well angulated rear all under a very slightly sloping topline. So typey on the move showing power and drive. BOB and Working Group 2

2nd Hepworth’s Kaotik Pole Position. 4yr Red D. Built on bigger lines than 1 but still of correct shape and well balanced. Pleasing masculine head with dark eyes, good neck and shoulders with nice bone and neat feet. Correct depth of chest and a well made rear. True and steady mover.

1st Cowell’s Sandexe Red Hot Fever. 6yr Red D and another of super shape. Masculine head of good shape and proportions, dark eyes and a melting expression. Super neck and forequarters, well muscled and with good forechest. Good amount of bone and neat feet. Lovely rear angles and another typey mover. Such a close call in the challenge. RBOB. Later he won the RBOB Group then thrilled to watch him win Best Reserve Best of Breed in Show.

2nd Powell’s Jobaran Rock On. 5yr Red Dog. Another lovely head and expression, strong neck, nice bone and feet. Can stand himself a little wide in front. Correct overall shape with deep chest, well made rear. Another correct mover.

1st.Needham’s Asiq Queen Fabiola – Canadian Eskimo Dog. Rather taken with this 19mth B. Feminine in appearance aided by her colouring but with an air of strength about her. Lovely head of good shape, dark eyes and well set ears. A smiler with a happy disposition. Super forequarters, well muscled with well laid shoulders, good forechest, straight front and nice amount of bone. Deep well sprung ribs to a deep loin and well angulated rear. Lovely to watch on the move, true with powerful drive. BAVNSC and Working Group 3

2nd.Sherborne’s Tyshunde Exclamation Kid – Giant Schnauzer. 22mth D. Good length to head, slight stop, dark eyes and good furnishings. Well made forequarters with well laid shoulders. Level topline over deep ribs and loin. Another good mover.

1st Needham’s Can Ch Arcticice Qimmiq Jasper with Innugat (Imp Can). Heading up a nice veteran class was this fully mature 7yr D. Good head and super outline and in good coat. Well made fore and aft and well muscled all through. Moves with power, drive and purpose.

2nd Smith’s Ch Snowshoe Aurora Borealis JW ShCM – Alaskan Malamute. Lovely powerful 7yr B. Super head, feminine with good width and well set ears. Good bone and feet. Well made fore and aft, true and powerful on the move.
