HOUNDS NSC – P (5,1a) 1 Hills & Thornton’s Absolute Afghan’s Djibouti at Karnak, b/m gold Afghan dog of quality, now nearly 11 months and full of breed type, what a good mover for age with lovely head carriage & a well carried tail with a ring, in lovely coat & condition. BP & PG1; 2 Locke’s Lauralee The American Dream, unfortunately didn’t settle today but a nice Smooth Dachshund, still young but coped well with the floor surface when she settled. J (1) 1 Jones’ Laserna Fleur De Lys, this Basset Fauve de Bretagne bitch was alone but deserved her first as she is in good coat & condition, well balanced, lovely head & expression, moved well. PG (9) 1 Knights & Stokes’ Tokaji Candy Apple Red at Lelaps, Basenji bitch from the top drawer, cracking type with a lovely outline & balance, loved her head & expression, well boned legs & feet, moved soundly holding a good topline & well set & curled tail, good head carriage, quality all through. RBOB; 2 Thompson’s Globalridge Red Coral at Sonnypride, well made Ridgeback bitch who moved well despite the small ring, well made with an attractive head, neck & shoulders correct as was her ride; 3 McLean’s Switherland Final Chase at Stookewood, Basset. O (8,1) 1 Gunn & Cannon’s Int Ch/Lux Ch Amal Salang Hey I’m The Star at Zushkhan, black dog of quality, in full coat, presented so well, masculine head & expression, excellent profile movement with well boned legs & feet, well set tail just needing more of a ring but has so much quality & balance I ignored that, won a strong class, BOB, G1 & on to BIS, congratulations; 2 Locke’s Lauralee Air Force One, Smooth Dachshund bitch I have liked before & see no reason to change my opinion, she is coming along nicely; 3 Threadgold’s Norvin Joyeux Noel, Norwegian Elkhound. PBGV – Y (1) 1 Culyer-Dawson’s BeaujonsYasmin, when she settled she showed & moved well, pretty head & expression, good baance, good coat coming & put down in lovely condition, good topline, well boned legs & feet. PG (3,1) 1 Skerritt & Betts’ Monkhams Memphis Belle, balance bitch who is not overlarge but all in proportion, excellent head carriage in profile & a good forehand, looked impressive on the move in profile, in good coat & condition. RBOB; 2 Bishop’s Jamar Ina The Countessa, preferred the head carriage & profile movement of 1 but this girl was beautifully presented, showed well. O (5,1) 1 Skerritt & Betts’ Monkhams Luna Luvgood, yummy bitch, just loved her attitude in the ring, in profile she has an excellent head carriage, held a strong topline & good hindquarters, very feminine in outlook & balanced, in good natural coat. BOB & G3; 2 Osbourne’s Braego Gladys Aylward, more mature bitch who also moved & showed well, she is balanced & a good type; 3 Culyer-Dawson’s Culdaws Legend Of Gold. DEERHOUNDS – Y & PG (1)1 Wyatt’s Baskevyns Boudica Regina, pretty bitch in good coat & condition, moved well, good neck & shoulders & well set & carried tail, good size & well balanced. Alone but shows promise. BOB. O (0) AV HOUNDS – P (2) 1 Qatiifah Dahr Damyar at Azaba, quality Saluki who is just right for age, good mover on correct boned legs & feet, balanced and a lovely type. BP & PG2; 2 Derochaise I Have A Dream for Braego, Wirehaired Dachshund who was unsettled in the small ring & although of a good length didn’t hold her topline on the move today. BP & B J (2,1) Q Dahr Damyar at A. PG (3) 1 Kelsmonk Kind Of Magic, fawn Whippet dog who wasn’t too happy today with the ring or surface, he is balanced & makes a good picture both set up & moving when he settled, well made with a lovely head & expression, well set & carried ears, good neck & shoulders, topline & well set & carried tail; 2 Swingletrees Roses Are Red at Tarkdash, Miniature Smooth Dachshund bitch with attitude, moved & showed well, in good coat & condition, just preferred 1’s overall presence; 3 Annavah Songbird. O (4,2) 1 Blandings Eyes On The Prize, brindle pretty Whippet bitch, melting expression, lovely neck & shoulders, excellent topline & tailset, moved well on well boned legs & feet, she is balanced & very feminine in outlook; 2 Soufriere We Will Rock You, a grand Grand GBGV who, when he settled was lovely, such a character, good size & outline, in good coat & condition, moved & showed well. V (8,3) 1 Ch Nganga’s It’s One Heck Of A Storm, a Swedish imported Basenji who moved well on well boned legs & feet, showed his socks off using his ears & neck, top & tail carriage to advantage, good behind, this 9 year old doesn’t look his age & is very masculine in outlook. BOB; 2 Multi Ch Calamus Mediator, nearly 10 year old black Afghan who was well coated & presented so well, moved with style & an excellent head carriage, well set & carried tail, very close up; 3 Blandings Florentine. IMPORTED REGISTER HOUNDS (1) 1 Smith & Horton’s Coonsar Hi To High Water at Morganbury, black & tan Coonhound with the correct head carriage in profile, she is balanced & in lovely coat & condition, feminine head & expression with good ears, well bone legs & feet, moved freely, very interesting prospect. BOB. HOUND GROUP – G1 Int Ch/Lux Ch Amal Salang He I’m The Star at Zushkhan, Afghan; 2 Kidaruka It’s Showtime at Oxana, Whippet, very mature for age for he is only 15 months, very masculine in head & expression,showed & moved well; 3 Monkshams Luna Luvgood; 4 Mumtaz Pallas for Stalwart, Saluki dog who moved well, set up he is balanced & well made. PG1, Absolute Afghan’s Djibouti at Karnak, Afghan; PG2 Qatiifah Dahr Damyar at Azaba, Saluki. PAM BLAY
