Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge, thank you to my fabulous stewards and to the exhibitors for their entries. All exhibits had the correct bite and excellent temperaments.

Leonberger

Class 112 Junior(3/3)

1st 456 Bodle’s Fairy Clocks Bonus Catch the World into Lionsridge (IMP NOR). Super, young male with a handsome, masculine head and beautiful, expressive eyes. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulders, excellent bone, strong pasterns and tight feet. Well bodied, firm topline and correct tail set. Well muscled with a moderate bend of stifle and strong hocks. He managed to maintain a smooth movement with good drive, despite the small ring space. He won on his overall balance which also took him a step further to Best of Breed.

2nd 460 Niall & Rothery’s Davenheath Gin and Frolic. Another lovely youngster with a feminine, well balanced head. Nicely constructed front assembly and well off for bone. Strong topline and loin with the correct tail set. Not quite as strong in the rear as the first placed dog however she moved steadily around the ring with good drive.

3rd 457 Brown’s Davenheath Gipsy Girl to Brenaljay.

Class 113 Post Graduate (3/3)

1st 458 Brown’s Davenheath Guilty Pleasure to Brenaljay. Masculine dog, good head shape, length of muzzle and dark eye. Nice length of neck into good front construction. Good amount of bone, good pasterns with excellent feet. Nice depth of chest, firm topline and strong loin. Rear angulation balanced with the front. Moved well with drive.

2nd 459 Niall & Rothery’s Davenheath Gladiator. Littermate to the first and very little to choose between them. He also has a masculine, balanced head but I preferred the expression of his brother. Good neck and shoulders, well off for bone with nice feet. Good topline, tailset and well muscled all through. Moved fluidly.

Class 114 Open (1/2)

1st 455 Bodle’s Debbollinby Kandyman at Lionsridge JW. Striking male who makes an impressive outline. Typy head with dark eyes. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulders. Strong bone, excellent feet. Correct topline, well muscled loin. Good bend of stifle with strong hocks. Excellent condition all around, just lost out on the move to the youngster and had to settle for RBOB.

Dalmatian

Class 131 Puppy (6/6)

Such a fantastic class of youngsters, I was really splitting hairs on the placings.

1st 546 Saunders & David’s Dallydyl Honey Trap. Absolutely cracking young bitch. She has the richest liver colouring with a beautiful, feminine head and wonderful expression. Lovely length of neck, correct shoulder placing with a good front. Nicely boned with tight feet. Great spring of rib, level topline and correct tailset. Nicely angulated rear with strong hocks. Moved so fluidly around the ring, I will watch her future closely. BPIB.

2nd 534 Croft’s Koroyza Viking Voyager. Another stunning liver baby. Masculine through and through. Gorgeous head with beautiful amber eyes. Elegant neck, well laid shoulders. Excellent bone and feet. Good width and depth of chest with ribs carried well back. Excellent topline. Well muscled hinds and good rear angulation. Really torn between these two for the win and I would love to see this boy in a bigger ring so he could really stride out.

3rd 548 Sims’ Koroyza Hrafna Floki for Snowspeeder.

Class 132 Junior (3/5)

1st 541 Finlay’s Dvojica Excuse My French at Dalfin. Such a striking black spotted bitch, making the most beautiful outline on the stand. Beautiful head with the darkest pigment and sparkling brown eyes. Elegant, long neck, correct front construction and angulation. Nice bone and lovely feet. Excellent spring of rib. Great topline and tailset. Well angulated rear with well developed second thigh. Flowed around the ring with reach and drive, really pushed hard in the challenge. RBOB.

2nd 528 Cattermole’s Jasquarella Ice Queen of Kalvadene. Compact, elegant black bitch. Feminine head with super pigment and dark eyes. Nice reach of neck, well constructed front and nice feet. Level topline which she held on the move. She needs a bit of time to mature and muscle up.

3rd 533 Collier’s Kallierbelle Bluebelle.

Class 133 Post Graduate (4/9)

1st 537 David & Saunders’ Dallydyl The Loving Spirit JW. Handsome liver male with a strong head. In such super condition all through. Good length of neck, well placed shoulders and defined withers. Well off for bone with strong pasterns and lovely feet. Excellent width and depth of chest. Strong through the loin. Well balanced rear angulation. The muscling on this boy is just so impressive. Tracked up well from all angles.

2nd 542 Nicholson’s Steyndal Simply The Best at Dibynn. Very pretty black spotted bitch with the most gorgeous temperament. Elegant head with dark eye. Nicely constructed front, well boned and nice feet. Good ribbing, strong topline and correct tailset. Excellent rear angulation. Covered the ground with ease.

3rd 532 Chattaway’s Buzzbrook Spellbreaker.

Class 134 Open

1st 545 Sampson’s Dalstorm Golden Guinea JW. I have judged this black spotted male a couple of times and each time he improves. Ideal for size, elegant yet still masculine. Love his head and expression. Lovely reach of neck into well placed shoulders. Good chest, tight elbows, well boned fores with super feet. Excellent spring of rib, his topline is level and loin is strong. Well balanced rear angulation with super muscling of first and second thigh. Strong in the hocks which he used to drive around the ring, showing fluid movement even in the small ring. Best of Breed.

2nd 538 Emmett & Simons’ Ch Ellemstra Against All Odds JW. Another handsome male with a masculine head, superb pigment and dark eyes. Excellent reach of neck, well constructed front. Well off for bone with tight feet. Great depth of chest and ribs carried well back. Well angulated rear, good hard muscling of his hinds. This boy needs more space to really allow for him to get into his stride.
