Very well run show with every consideration given to the exhibitors in these difficult times.

Samoyed

Open (1)

1. Due to a clash with a breed champ show just the one entry but a very good example and a worthy Best of Breed. McGreade's Nikara Neverending Dream For Frostia. Almost three year old bitch with a lovely expression giving that classic Sammy smile, neat well placed ears, well proportioned head. Well arched neck into a compact body, good depth of chest and well sprung ribs, straight front with plenty of bone, excellent angulation in the rear, stands on well feathered feet and moves with drive. Overall nice outline covered in a coat in sparkling condition.

Welsh Corgi (Pembroke)

Post Graduate (2)

1. Ellwood's Ellhar Olga's Princess. Pretty tri bitch of twenty months. Broad skull, well used ears, good reach of neck into level topline, good forechest, correct length of back and well angulated hindquarters. Well set and carried tail, good reach and drive. In super coat and condition, happy to award her Best of Breed. 2. Roper's Cardigan Bay. Almost three year old red and white male, masculine head with good width of skull and dark eyes, reluctant to use his ears, good chest and level topline and well angulated front and rear, coat of good texture, overall well made but not doing himself any favours on the move and giving his handler a hard time.

Open (2)

1. Ellwood's Amberynlea Dark Desire With Ellhar (IMP LTV). Four year old tri bitch, feminine expression, ears a tad low set, good forehand and level topline, well angulated, couldn't quite match the PG winner on movement. Reserve Best of Breed. 2. Cardigan Bay. More settled in this class but just needs to show himself off a bit more.

German Shepherd Dog

Thank you to the exhibitors for a wonderful entry of 22, much appreciated. All temperaments were excellent, and nothing was extreme. A real pleasure to judge your dogs.

Puppy (1)

1. Nicholson's Chapelforge Angus With Norwulf. Seven month old black and gold male pup, very much a baby but showing lots of promise. Masculine head with well used ears, would prefer a slightly darker eye, good reach of neck, excellent topline, enough angulation although understandably still needs to firm up behind.

Best Puppy and Puppy Group 2, and the Group Judge told me he thought he was an excellent puppy.

Junior (3,1)

1. Lemon's Solophina Floyd At Mitzahner. Seventeen month old black and gold male, strong head, dark eyes, firm ears, good wither height, topline levels out on the move,

angulation is good both front and rear. Moves well in profile with a far reaching gait.

2. Cave's Casiann Ate. Black and tan bitch just over twelve months. Feminine head and expression, well used ears, would prefer a bit more bone and substance overall, good topline and well angulated. Moved well.

Post Graduate (12,6)

1. Forman's Kintaro Grace Kelly With Suzdans. Black and tan bitch, twenty months. Strong but feminine head, good reach of neck super topline and well balanced throughout with no exaggerations, good angulation both ends, moved out well and couldn't deny her Best of Breed. 2. Johnson's Kastina Delilah. Black and tan bitch, twenty-one months. Pretty head and expression, good front, level topline kept on the move, moving well. 3. Ashurst's Kintaro Strictly Rumba Of Kelsus.

Open (6,1)

1. Scott's Iolanda Phoenix. Three year old black and tan male, super head and expression, good reach of neck into excellent topline, well off for bone, good angulation and well balanced throughout. Moved well out and back and has a great profile action. Just losing a bit of coat, and the PG winner was in such good form that he had to settle for Reserve Best of Breed. 2. Smith's Portnall Elrick Zu Sarocal ShCM. Another strong contender, all male now coming up to six years, this top size gold sable has a fabulous head. His topline falls away a bit but he has good angulation and moves with purpose. 3. Askham & Ranshaw's Reyakosa Azon.
