It was an honour to judge BIS at Woolwich, Bexley & District CA Open show. Chairman, David Hutchinson, Secretary, John Swinge and their hard working Committee always put on a well run show with a lovely atmosphere and this show was no exception. I was pleased to later hear that the entry for the show was the largest it has been for many years…well done, richly deserved and long may it continue!

 BIS & BPIS went to the 11 month old French Bulldog. Having judged him in the breed and given him the top spot in a quality entry, I obviously rated him highly. Having lived with this breed for many years, I know how much they hate the cold but the cold weather didn’t affect this boy’s performance and at the end of a long day, he showed like a trooper and simply asked for the top spot. I think he will have an exciting future. RBIS the Pomeranian. Like the Frenchie, this super showman was still bang on form. He has the most lovely head, compact shape and moves around the ring with soundness and confidence, showing non-stop. In excellent coat and condition. Made a worthy runner-up. I am sure there are many future stars in the line-up for BPIS, the Frenchie taking the top spot with RBPIS going to the young Beardie. So feminine but lacking nothing at this stage in development. Pretty head and expression. Good overall conformation and a sound mover showing plenty of scope from side gait. Another with a great future and should go right to the top. Fabulous temperament and in lovely coat and condition, good luck with her.

Boston Terrier

P(3) 1st Kingsline Muskette. Ultra feminine bitch of 9 months. Lovely square shape both in head and overall outline. Dark, expressive eye, high set, thin ears, used to best advantage. Good body and muscle tone for her age. Excellent mover in all directions. Gave a confident performance and pleased to award her BP & BOB.

2nd Delaws Artistic Dreams. Another pleasing pup. Approaching a year and giving an equally polished performance. Liked his head and expression. Moderate neck. Good topline and shape. Just needs to drop in chest, which full maturity should bring. Moved with sufficient reach and drive.

3rd Bostontime Silver Lady.

PG(4) 1st Shawmut The Trailblazer. Liked this young dog for type, size and shape. Appeals greatly in head, good square shape, high set ears and a moderately large, expressive eye. Balanced angles front and back. Moved well.

2nd Crazy Crys Glow Like a Star. Feminine and of pleasing size. Shade longer in back and could have a bit more width of underjaw but a nicely put together bitch that has a strong head, good ears, dark, large eye and shows well for her handler. Confident, sound mover.

O(5) 1st Shawmut I am Lady Liberty At Simberfour. Pretty, feminine, little bitch that appeals greatly for type, size and outline. Excellent head shape, good underjaw and width of muzzle. Medium neck, firm topline. Good rear quarters. Stands on small, tight feet. Moved freely and pushed hard in the challenge. Well handled and presented. RBOB.

2nd Rosparquier Small Talk For Devotoblaze. Another well presented and handled dog. Eye catching on the move and pleasing to go over on the table. Shapely head, pleasing eye and uses his ears well at all times. Would prefer him a bit shorter in back but a very pleasing, mature dog overall. Powerful, sound mover.

3rd Rosparquier Jack Wills At Sueno.

P(5) Excellent class. 1st Olijah Total knockout. Super head piece. Strong square skull and muzzle. Dark, expressive eye. Well set and used ears. Clean, open nostrils. Medium neck, showing some arch and strength. Moderate angles front and back. Shapely topline. Excellent body. Moved with freedom and soundness. No hesitation in awarding him both BOB & BP in this quality entry. Pleased to see he topped the Adult and Puppy Group and still showing so well at the end of a long day. Must have a promising future…loved him!

2nd Corursus Become The One. Another excellent pup of pleasing size and type. 8 months old and not quite the maturity of 1st as yet. Head developing well. Excellent outline with correct topline. Well made and stands on small, tight feet. Moved very well from all directions. Liked him a lot too.

3rd Warson’s Madaline.

PG(5) 1st Millandro Soul Of Destiny. Standing alone but a worthy representative. Compact shape. Good head shape. Well set ears, large, dark eye. Thick neck. Good body and topline. Moved well.

O(5) 1st Chelmbull Stary Seas For Olijah. Liked this feminine fawn. Good overall outine. Strong head and muzzle. Clean, open nostrils. Uses her ears well. Strong, medium neck. Excellent body. Good angles. Topline a bit flat. Excellent, tight feet. Easy, true mover. Well presented and handled. RBOB.

2nd Warson’s Flash Gordon. Approaching 8 months but already very together both for conformation and on the move. Super head, good shape, strong and shapely. Dark eye. Excellent ears. Correct outline and topline showing desired roach. Moved very well and pushed the winner all the way. Another really promising youngster here today.

P(1) 1st Dzhorzh-Merlin Zhaklin Uajt For Quintastique. Fairly mature bitch pup of 10 months. Square shape and strongly built. Feminine head and expression. Well set ears. Good reach of neck. Chest developing well. Balanced angles front and back. Quality coat for her age. Moved well, driving off low set hocks. BP.

PG (2) 1st Deansgate Jump For Joy. Excellent for size, shape and type. Appealing head, dark eye. Excellent neck. Good front angulation. Firm topline. Good ribs. Strong quarters. Hard, well presented coat. RBOB.

O(3) 1st Nujax Storm Warning. Well balanced, solidly built bitch. Good head, eye and expression. High set, folded ears. Reachy, arched neck. Deep chest. Good angulation and low set hocks. In pleasing coat, albeit a bit on the soft side. Moved with reach and drive. BOB.

2nd Dashing Darrel. Black dog. Pleases for size and shape. Good head, strength of muzzle and cheeky expression. Ear set and carriage ok. Strong, firm topline. Nicely angled and moved freely.

Swedish Vallhund

PG(1) 1st Beidelyn Blowin Kisses In The Wind. Good for size and overall outline. Lovely character and showing well. Wedge shaped head, oval eye of good colour. Strong neck. Good depth of chest. Strong bone. Well made all through and moved out freely.

O(2) 1st Ch. Tanellis Bloomin Primrose. Excellent bitch that appeals greatly for type, size and balance of outline. Wedge head, dark, oval eye shape giving desired expression. Good ear set and carriage. Well laid shoulder. Strong bone. Excellent ribs and short, muscular loin. Good rear angulation. Easy, free mover. Could just lose a bit of weight to advantage. Excellent colour and harness markings. BOB.

2nd Starvon Binit Sinit Dunit With Kirkholme.Lovely bitch and close-up here. Excellent type. Feminine but has substance and bone to compliment her frame. Holds her outline well at all times. Sound conformation, just needing to settle further to show off her virtues. Good coat, colour and markings. RBOB.

Bernese Mountain Dog

PG(4) 1st Rainstorm Roody Caralisa. At just over 2 years this lovely boy still has some maturing to do, particularly in chest but has a super outline, masculine with good body and bone. Excellent head, strong skull and muzzle with a moderate stop. Strong, muscular neck. Firm topline. Moderately angled rear. Good croup leading to a well set tail. In super coat and condition with bright, well defined markings. Moved well in all directions. RBOB.

2nd Bernaroso Born To be Queen. Well made young bitch. Good head, eye and ear set. Reachy, muscular neck. Good front with strong bone and stands on tight feet. Nicely balanced outline. Well angled rear but can firm up a bit in hocks.. Moved well enough, think she would have benefited from a larger ring to really get into her stride.

O(4) 1st Harvestbank Just One Kiss. Excellent bitch. Loved her outline. Well balanced all through. Appealing head, good eye shape and colour. Strong muzzle. Strong neck, deep functional chest. Excellent bone. Holds herself well at all times. Strong quarters. Moved well in all directions. Excellent double coat of good colour and markings. BOB.

2nd Flintas Kalnu Suo At Bernaroso. Mature 8 year old boy. Pleasing head. Excellent reach of neck. Good depth all through. Excellent bone and feet. Firm body and topline, just a bit long in loin. Sound mover, covering the ground with a good depth of stride.

AV MPD Stakes (16) 1st Red Dils Million Reasons. 7 month old Akita pup. Very composed and learning the job in hand well. Pleasing wedge head. Small, thick high set ears. Dark, almond eye. Good neck leading into a well angled front. Firm topline. Strong, well angled quarters. High set tail. Thick, double coat. Moved very soundly, covering the ground well.

2nd Nagshall The Odd Reason. Promising Min L/h Dachs. Good head and dark, almond eye. Medium neck. Good front and rear and shows some daylight underneath. Holds his topline well, especially for his tender age. Moved with reach and drive.

3rd Sky Butterfly Elven Cron Prince. Papillon.

AV MPB Stakes (15) 1st Ettology Hampton’s Odyssey. Pretty, feminine ETT. Good head shape, dark, twinkling eyes giving the desired expression. Well shaped and high set ears. Reachy neck. Correct topline. Good angles and tight feet. Moved very soundly with a breed typical gait. Sympathetically handled.

2nd Manaca’s Thelma Or louise At Bocablue. Beautiful black Cocker of 6 months. Cobby outline. Pretty head, dark eye giving a soft expression. Good reach of neck. Correct bone and feet. Excellent ribbing. Good angles allowing her to move out soundly in all directions. Well presented coat.

3rd Esterbon Time Will Tell. Sheltie.

AV Puppy Stakes (40) 1st Claran Copper Nebula At Izlou. Attractively coloured G/Spitz (Mittel) Beautifully balanced outline. Excellent wedge head. Small, high set and carried ears. Mature in body for his age. Compact outline. Good conformation and sound on the move. Super handling and presentation. Won a strong class.

2nd Beauvallon Reaalms Of Glory. Quite close-up here. Feminine OES bitch. Fairly compact shape. Beautiful head, strong muzzle, good reach of neck and quality bone. Nicely laid shoulder and return of upper arm . Correct topline, showing a slight rise over loin. Good rear angles leading to firm hocks. Excellent coat for density, colour and break. Moved well, particularly from side gait.

3rd Nagshall Odds On. Min L/H Dachs.

AV Veteran Stakes (33) 1st Int Ch/Ir/Nl/ Ch Spinillons Rebel Rouser. 11 year old Papillon looking incredibly well for his age. In excellent coat and condition and credit to his owner for keeping him in such fine form. Excellent head, typical eye and expression and well set, heavily fringed ears. Good to go over on the table. Soundly made conformation which comes together on the move, floated around the ring in breed typical fashion. Won a strong class of excellent veterans.

2nd Ch Komidon Night Music At Sametova. Lovely Cesky Terrier, another 11 year old and again totally belying her age. Excellent outline. Pleasing head, good eye and bite. Excellent folded ears. Good reach of neck and depth of chest. Super body condition. Typical topline. Sound, free mover. Well handled and presented.

3rd Oakestelle Venus De Milo. Smooth Collie.

AV Open Stakes (45) Excellent class, many good ones went cardless. Close decision between the final 5 placed. 1st Ch Witchstone Raindance avec Richpin. Quality Champion ETT. Smart outline. Nicely balanced all through. Excellent head, eye and typical ear shape and set. Reachy neck. Well bodied. Correct topline. Excellent angles front and back. Fine coat, excellent condition. Moved with reach and drive and typical lift of foot.

2nd Ch S. Rebel Rouser. Papillon.

3rd Ch Witchstone Minnehaha. ETT.
