Would like to thank the committee of this show for inviting me to judge the few breed then brought in to do the group as the judge had to withdraw I hope Helen Gutterige makes a full recovery from her surgery. I enjoyed my day very much and excited to see so many lovely youngsters. I hope all have a great show season.

Siberian Huskey Special Yearling

1st SUTTONS LYFEARON WERE ALL MAD HERE

What a start to the day 14 month old male he was well balanced on stance with the correct outline. His eyes just looked at me with the most gentle expression, very foxy head that was chiselled and well developed in his development. Correct scissor bite and full dentition. The thing that impressed me about his head was the way his ears finished off his overall expression . Straight strong and level back with a deep chest and well sprung ribs rear end was muscled and this showed on the move as he had the most effortless movement and kept a rock hard top line he carried his tail while on the move. BOB and Group 2

Same as Special Yearling

Bernese Mountain Dog

1st ABBOTS MEADOWPARK DREAM COME TRUE WITH KINGSTONSKA

8 year old bitch that really enjoyed her day out today, what can I say she didn’t act her age today she made a good outline. Her head had love rich markings on her eyes and a nice even blaze on head , I liked that her head was in proportion to her overall body. Age showing on muzzle but she has a correct bite with ALL teeth ! ( good to see as an oldie). Very short back and compact which I particularly liked on her well bodied and had strong loin. On the move she moved just I would have hoped power in her front with great extension her rear movement was ok but still going well for a veteran. BOB unplaced in group as there was some super youngsters but not taking anything away from her.

Alaskan Malamute Special yearling

1st HORSMAN-PHOENIX NORDICWINDS MISS MARVEL

10 month bitch that clearly was in a very playful mood today. On stance she had a pleasing outline, her head is at a good stage just now that it’s broad between her skull and her ears are set wide her muzzle could be a little deeper to make the overall picture but still a nice head at this stage. I liked her neck when it was arched showed off a strong neck, had ok body condition enough angulation at the rear on the move she was a handful which made her movement a tad erratic and her foot fall not great but I’m sure this is just a typical puppy stage playful. Hopefully once matured she will be a nice girl.

Alaskan Malamute Post Graduate

1st VASARHELYI OKINASTAR ALL OF THE LIGHTS

19 month bitch that was well off for bone, you couldn’t not look at her on stance and not like what you seen. Overall head is broad and feminine but not overdone. Would have liked her to use her ears better when interested which spoiled her overall look but still had the correct mouth and nice eye placement. Her feet are what caught my attention so well arched and so close together giving them the tightness and compact which they should be. Her body was in great muscled condition, on the move she was okay coming and going and made a good steady side profile using her tail to advantage unlucky to be unplaced in a group with nice dogs BOB

2nd HORSMAN-PHOENIX NORDICWINDS GREATEST SHOWMAN

11 month old male another today that stood well and looked the part, his head was well chiselled and just starting to come together, I thought his expression with his ear set off a nice look. His front assembly needed to tighten up but he is still a baby. Liked the length of loin that he had rear angulation was well muscled and had a good bend of stifle he moved out when he wanted to ! Alaskan Malamute Open

1st HORMAN-PHOENIX NORDICWINDS IN YOUR DREAMS

3 year old bitch I liked her overall conformation and look when standing, can clearly see that this was a bitch as she had a very attractive and appealing head with flat cheeks and correct mouth. I wrote in my book (WHAT A NECK ) was strong and well arched this was one of features it was set on sloping shoulders and straight legs. Enough body and top line which she held one the move, she won this class on her front assembly and front reach extension

2nd VASARHELYI OKINASTAR IM THE MAN

19 month brother to BOB he is a large male that is of the correct height. He stood well on stack, on examination I thought he is head was in a good stage of growth with it just starting to broaden in between his ears his muzzle was a good length and had a complete bite. He is longer cast that the winner in back but had a solid top line and superb tail set and carriage. One movement his rear movement was ok he did drive around the ring but his front reach wasn’t as good as one still an impressive male

Dogue De Bordeaux open

1st MORAN. AIRBREAN DROPS OF JUPITER

20 month old bitch I thought her head was the best feature of her today it was large and square I liked the width of underjaw she had that gave her a broad muzzle that was also square which set off with her ears that completed her look . Would have preferred her front assembly to be a bit more angulated in shoulder. Her feet could be better placed long cast body on the move I would have liked her to have been more positive BOB

2nd MORAN. AIRBREAN SOMEBODY TO LOVE

Just 9 month old male still much a baby large head with well set eyes, his neck was broad and strongly muscled he tended to dip far too much behind his shoulders giving him a big rise to his hindquarters, spoiling his outline one the move he wasn’t driving or extending. Hopefully this is just another stubborn puppy thing BPIB PG4

Newfoundland Post Grad

1st RYANS. NEWFANGLED JUNIPER BERRY AT ELLENDRE

First impressions is WOW what a shape from head to toe, her head had a well broad muzzle and dark eye giving the correct look. Her neck was well set into her shoulders legs powerfully boned and super feet. Solid top line . One the move is where she lost out I thought her rear movement was very close behind and her tail was carried to far over curving on the move spoiling the outline she has such a shame as I did like the first impressions of her on stack. But she is a very nice bitch that has some good breed points

Newfoundland Open

1st BLACKS. GUNNERSNEWFS BLACK DESIRE FOR BLACKCOAST

Have judged this male before and on that occasion he was 2nd in his class but today he was BOB

He was so much better today than previous, he still has amazing substance and bone which is lovely to see. His head is large in broad but still spoiling his look with being a tad overdone over his eyes his muzzle had a good cut off with nice large teeth and correct bite. His chest is deep and legs straight well bodied with good muscled loin. Rear assembly strong with nice length of tail on the move his front was strong and reaching with drive from behind his rear movement was a lot better today he was actually using his power do muscle to drive around the ring. BOB GR3 and congratulations on making him a CH well done

Boxer Special Yerling

1st PEARCE & FRANCIS LONGSDALES STORM’N NORMAN

The star of today by quite a long way, there was nothing today that came close too him. This 9month old brindle and white boy commanded the ring, when looking at him all I seen was to me a perfect silhouette of what a boxer male should be . You can see from his head proportions that he is still a baby but showing that the balance was there from his skull to his muzzle, darkest of eyes showing the expression off and that was captured with the ear set giving that typical boxer look. He had the undershot mouth but for me very slightly too much that showed he had a bit of a chin but a very minor point. Forequarters were muscled in in a good stage of development his feet were what I was drawn too instantly as they so cat like. Very short and square body that slopped very slightly. His rear angulation were well muscled he was stacked correctly showing that he had good angulation and he clearly gets free running as I felt this today. On the move he covered what was a small ring very easily he excels in drive from the rear. Watching his side profile you could see a very powerful working dog there. I had no hesitation to give him BOB Adult Gr 1 and Puppy Group 1 and heard later he went BIS and BPIS this was one of the most exciting young dogs I have judged. I wish you both well with him.

2nd HUDSONS. DIAMOND DAISYS QUEEN

I feel for this bitch that she had to be in same class as the male puppy, this bitch has lots too offer me today in that her shape and outline from her neck to her back toes was a delight to look at.

I would have preferred a shorter muzzle on her as is detracted from the overall proportions of her head but still had dark eyes and the ears were in a correct position close to her cheek but set high up in skull. Her arch in her neck was of power and clean had super shoulder placement another that her feet were tight and well arched. Ultra short in back, when she moved you can see that she had a well muscled rear angulation that she drove and on side gait reached well in front. Very unlucky to come second but I I couldn’t give her anything else as I preferred the dogs head and overall boxer qualities.

Avnsc Puppy

1st AITKENS & STEEL. KENTWONE LIQUORICE FENNEL

At his first show 6 month old Rottweiler that has the most glorious rich tan markings. Immediately I noticed that his head is what I liked the most as it was so clean in skull with it being broad and his cheeks were muscled giving him good proportions to his head complete scissor bite and jet black pigmented nose. His chest needs develop I’m sure this will come when growing but his legs were of good bone and straight. He kept a strong top line on stack but his body length was a bit long for me I would have liked his loin to be shorter. Super angulation in his rear assembly which showed he was well muscled and was of the correct bend of stifle. His best attribute was his movement going away from me you could see it was powerful. I’m sure he will do well another exciting baby Best AV Best puppy AV Adult Gr 4 Puppy group 2

2nd MORGAN SATINEA FEVRONIA AT TELENNDU

Another baby at six months old this time a Doberman bitch I also like that she had very rich markings. She stacked well showing off a decent outline. Very long and clean head with a very intelligent look in her eyes she had very nice ears that were close to cheeks . Another with correct scissor bite, she needs to tighten up in front and rear angulations as she is a very tall puppy bitch she is all legs at the moment on the move her elbows tend to stick out when coming toward you. Her side profile movement was there but needs tightening up in muscle a very raw baby.

Avnsc Special Yearling

1st SIMPSONS. APOCALYPTO FAMBA BY ROMINJAY

Rottweiler bitch she won this class on her head and overall breed points, her head bowed from side on had a nice ratio between muzzle to occiput dark eyes and scissor bite. Her best feature was her body condition in that her ribs were well sprung and was of good length. On movement she moved ok and showed that she had a powerful hind action would have liked to have seen her in a bigger ring as it may have showed off her drive better. In my notes I also mentioned that she had one of the best conditioned body.

2nd FEATHERSTONE. KENXTWEN SWEET DISMOND

Another Rottweiler bitch this time a much smaller bitch and less boned girl. I would have preferred her head to be more in proportion to her body but still had good markings over her eye rims that were rich tan. Correct scissor bite. Her neck was of a decent length she had well placed shoulders that were sloping well, another with short compact body. Kept s good top line standing and on moved her best feature was her rear assembly on the move such power.

Avnsc Post Graduate

1st MCFARLANE. MICADOR WILL I AM

Portuguese Water Dog that was 3 years old. I loved his attentiveness look he gave me he had such a super expression. Well proportioned head with the desired long muzzle giving him the balance to his overall look. I thought he had a wide chest and good body length I liked his tuck up and that showed well in his curving rear end. He did enjoy his day today on movement he showed a typical action.

2nd HIND. CALLOWDALE BELLISIMO

Tibetan mastiff I am only going to write a critique from what I seen as she was not her self today for some reason I couldn’t get near her to examine her thoroughly. On stance she is very impressive with the correct bone and substance I got her to move to try and settle her down but she was not playing ball today but I will critique her movement her front end movement was super with effortless reach in front but I was very disappointed on her rear action was very very close behind.
