Judge Anthony Allen

My thanks to the society for inviting me and to by very able steward Karen Bambrook for keeping everything running smoothly. I was very lucky to have some super dogs in both breeds to judge, it was a pleasure to go over them and the level of quality gave me some tough decisions.

Brittany

Puppy

Two super puppies to start the entry with who it transpired were siblings.

1st Cutler’s BONAPARTIST SOLDIER BLUE

Just seven months and already at this age lots of promise about this tri dog. I liked his overall shape and balance. His head is well proportioned with well-set ears and super dark eyes which enhanced his expression. Clean in neck into well set shoulders standing on well boned legs and super feet. Short coupled and correct square outline. Quarters developing well with good angles. Moved out well for his age. Best Puppy.

2nd Slack’s BONAPARTIST SNOW GOOSE

Pretty orange and white girl, litter sister to the winner and again lots to like about her, just not quite as together on the move. Feminine in head and expression with a lovely dark eye. Clean neck in to well set shoulders, well boned straight legs and super feet. Moderate angles front and rear. Well made in body, a shade longer in loin than her brother, stifles well bent.

Junior

1st Taylor’s RENNES DE PASMAZGENG

This young man scored in outline, well up for size, he had the cleaner outline in the class. Good angles front and rear. Typical head and expression of correct proportions, ears well set on. Neck into shoulder is good and shoulders are well set. Needs to drop into his chest but at just over 12 months he is where he should be. Front well made with straight legs and neat feet, would just like him a shade tighter in elbow. Good through the body, held his topline well, loin firm into well-developed quarters with moderate bend of stifle. Scored on movement in this class where he had the most accurate action.

2nd Steven’s SAMBOISER RENES DREAM

I liked this bitch on the stack and thought she would be my winner; she has a lovely head piece on her which is well balanced and has good proportions. Good front assembly, shoulder well laid back and standing on well boned legs and feet. Well made through the body with ribs well spring for her age and a firm loin. Quarters are well made with stiles well bent. A little untidy in front and not as together on the move as the winner today.

3rd Cutler’s ROCHUS SERPENTINE WITH JAYRICNBRITS

Postgraduate

1st Cutler’s ROCHUS SERPENTINE WITH JAYRICNBRITS

Another puppy, he stood third in junior where he was giving a lot away in maturity. Very nice type of dog, I liked his overall shape and size. He had a good outline and overall shape about him. Head pleasing with a masculine expression. Good body proportions, ribs well-sprung for his age and short loin. Quarters developing well. Moved out well.

Open

1st Yarrow SH CH BONAPARTIST ODILE

This is a very smart 3-year-old lady with a pleasing outline, I like her overall shape and make up. Her head is really appealing, well made with the correct expression and a lovely dark eye. Clean in neck into a well assembled front with shoulders well set. Straight legs and super feet. Body of good proportions with ribs well rounded, decent length of loin. Quarters well developed without being overdone. In the class she had the best action on the move, had enough drive with that brisk stride. A quality bitch, I was not surprised to be told she already has her title, thought she was top class Thrilled to later watch her go on to win BIS, many congratulations.

2nd Cook’s SH CH HIGHCLARE ONLY ONE AVEC TAILLISIDE

Judged this chap as a youngster and he did well under me then, pleased to see him here today as the finished article. I like his head, not overdone in any way and super eye with an attentive expression. Well-made neck of medium length set into well placed shoulders. Good depth of chest and elbows tight to body. Stands on well boned legs and has good tight feet. Topline correct, ribs rounded and a short loin. Well-made quarters with stifles moderately bent and good muscle. Did enough on the move to take his place and I could see the correct gate, but his mind was elsewhere and just didn’t give 100%.

3rd Cutler’s TARWARD PRECIOUS PEARL OF JAYRICNBRITS

Large Munsterlander

Puppy

1st Reader’s TOBERWORRY PEACEKEEPER AT KALIMNA

Promising puppy with a lot to like about her at this age. Good overall shape and elegance. Clean reach of neck into well laid shoulders, stands on well boned legs and good tight feet. Body of good proportions with ribs springling nicely and firm in loin. Quarters are well developed, stifles well-turned and hocks well let down. More collected on the move than her sister who stood second. Delighted to award her Best Puppy.

2nd Foreman’s TOBERWORRY LITTLE LIES

Another nice type of bitch, I learnt afterward she is litter sister to the winner. She has a good shape about her just at that in-between stage of growing. Head developing in the right way, good for her age but needs to break. Not as clean in neck as the winner, good front assembly on her, body of correct proportions and quarters developing well. Moved OK but couldn’t match the front action of her sister today, just needs to get her act together and I am sure the will change place many times ahead.

3RD Simpson’s EKKOLANDER PERESPHONE RED AT LERITON

Postgraduate

1st Horton’s CRUMPSBROOK JOY

I really like this 20 month old chap, he presents a very striking outline on the stack. I loved his head piece, totally in proportion and masculine in expression. Strong neck which led into a super front assembly, shoulder well set and stands on well boned legs. Body was well made, chest has good depth and ribs are well sprung on to a firm loin. Quarters are well developed for his age with stifles well-bent, good muscle tone. Excelled on the move with a good free flowing action. With a little bit more finish he will have a bright future ahead of him in my opinion.

2nd Foreman’s TOBERWORRY HARVEST MOON

This young man was two and half and not quite as forward in development as the winner. Head is masculine. Would like a little more front and rear angulation and to be a little tighter in elbow. Good body proportions, with ribs well spring and firm in loin. Sound on the move but didn’t quite have the free flowing action of the winner today.

3rd Simpson’ EKKOLANDER DARK MADNESS AT LERITON

Open

1st Butlers SH CH TOBERWORRY BREAKING DAWN AT JENDELLA’S

To my eye this bitch scored on overall shape and type. I liked her typical head and expression enhanced by a dark eye. Strong through the neck in to well set shoulders. Good well boned legs and neat feet. Good depth to brisket, ribs well sprung and strong loin, held her topline on the move. Moved out well, had the most accurate footfall fore and aft. Delighted to award her Best of Breed Really nice type of bitch and was not surprised to hear she had recently gained her title.

2nd James DARKENSKY PROTHETHUS JW

I remember judging this chap as a junior so was pleased to see him again as the mature adult. He has good overall shape and size about him. Head is pleasing with a masculine expression, would like his eyes a little darker. Good front on him, strong through the neck into a decent front assembly, would like his elbows a tad tighter. Correct depth of chest on him, ribs well sprung and firm through the loin. Level topline, held throughout. Good well-made quarters with stifles well turned. Excellent coat and condition. In the small ring he struggled a bit but when he got into his stride, I could see he had a free flowing gait on him. Reserve Best of Breed

3rd Day’s SH CH WALDO VOM BUSSHOF MIT ALFRISTON (IMP) DEU

Junior Stakes

1st Filby and Borwn’s WINTERWELL THATILDO FOR DESIJEM (GSP)

This lady has done well under me before as a puppy and I was pleased to see how she is developing. Still has that lovely clean outline and proportions. Had to be on her A game to beat super the HWHV standing second and she was. Good luck for the future with her.

2nd Smillie-Gray’s OAKBARROW M’LADY GIN (HWHV)

Have seen this lady from the ring side and thought she looked smart and wasn’t disappointed when I put my hands one her. She has a lovely head piece, feminine expression and super furnishings. Thought she moved out well with a fluid action very unluck to meet the winner today.

3rd Morriss- Garget WINTERWELL EEH BY GUM WITH GARVIN (GSP)
