DARLINGTON DOG SHOW SOCIETY - CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW Hungarian Pumi (without CC’s)

I would like to thank the Committee for the invitation to judge this fascinating breed The Hungarian Pumi at this show today. It was interesting to see the breed since they have come off the Import Register in April. I found all exhibits clean and in general well presented, although I did find a couple that were overgroomed. Which I felt it spoilt the overall look and detracted from the natural outline. All that were exhibited had correct bites and good palettes. Thank you to all for the entry it was a pleasure to judge the breed today.

Vet. Dog or Bitch (1,0), 1 Mrs. B. Edwards, Cseresznyeskerti-Csalfa-Zajos, (Imp Hung.): A 7yr. old dark grey bitch that is of a nice type with a pleasing out-line. She has a pleasing head and enquiring eye. Good ear-set, good neck and plenty of body. Good angles to front and rear and a nice tail-set. Pleased to award her Best Veteran.

Jun. Dog (1,0), 1 Ms. M. Harvey, Pumiden Very Special Agent: A 15mth old black dog that has very busy movement, but stands well. Good head with correct ear-set and head properties. Neat neck and good angles front and rear. His coat is coming along nicely. I felt that time was on his side so awarded him Res. Best Dog.

Post. Graduate Dog (2,0), 1 Mrs. D. McRobbie, Cronos Pumida: Just 2 yrs. of age this light grey dog has a nice shape. Saying that I would like to see more coat, but you can clearly see his out-line which is correct. Moves out well for and aft.    2 Mrs. D. McRobbie, Pumiden Not Done By Chance: Just over 2yrs of age with a dark grey coat. A very nervous dog, which would not settle which is a shame as he looks like he had a neat out-line and is of a good type.

LD (1,0), 1 Mrs B. Edwards, Pajkos Fine’n’Dandy: A 3yr old dark grey dog. This is a very neat dog with an excellent out-line. Shown in good coat, good angles front and rear. Good mover covered the large ring with ease. Pleased to award him Best Dog and Best Opposite Sex. Well done.

Jun. Bitch (2,0), 1 Mrs. C. Harvey, Pumiden Prime Suspect: A 15mths old Dark Grey bitch that is of a very pleasing type with a good outline, good angles to front and rear and good length of neck. Moved out well around the ring. Pleased to award her Res. Best Bitch. Well done.    2 Mrs. L. Howell, Yakuas Waiting For an Alibi: A 12mth old dark grey bitch that just needs to settle. She has a nice out-line and is of a good type with good angles. Her coat is now starting to come through. Hope she settles. Post.

Post Graduate Bitch (3,1), 1 Mrs. K.E. Wesson, Csulli Christmas Candy: A 19mths old Dark coloured bitch with a nice coat. She is of a nice type with a good out-line and nice angles front and rear. Moved out well.    2 Ms. M. Harvey, Serteperti Cseperke To Pumiden (Imp.):  A bitch that was 2yrs old on the day and is of a nice type. She has a light shading in her coat with a really harsh top coat. Just needs some more curls to add to the finish.

Limit Bitch (2,0), 1 Mr. & Mrs. P. & J. Evans, Napos Kuvik at Zaydah, (Imp. Fin.): A dark coloured bitch that is just over 2yrs of age with a well-balanced feminine head. Just loved the way she moved around the ring, free and easy. She is of a very nice type with a good out-line and deep chest. Neat tuck up and very neat hocks which she uses to good effect on the move. Correct coat of good texture. Pleased to award her Best Bitch and BOB. Congratulations.    2 Mrs. K.E. Open Bitch (3,0), 1 Mrs. L. Howell, Int. Ch. Ir. Ch., Int. Ir. Ch. Pattogo Parazs Dadus With Yakuza, (Imp.) Ir. J. Ch: A 6yr old neat grey bitch that is a nice mover. She has a nice out-line and good angles front and rear.    2 Ms M. Harvey, Pumiden Total Eclipse: A 5yr old bitch that is very sharp. Just needs to come back into condition. Moved out well. Just watch the coat and with care will look the part.    3 Mrs. K.E. Wesson, Csulli Christmas Candy: as above.
