LADIES KENNEL ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW SWEDISH VALLHUND

It was an honour to be invited to judge this breed at the LKA. Thank you to the Committee for the invitation and the Exhibitors for the entry. I have always enjoyed judging this breed whether in Breed classes, AV classes or in the group. Thank you for making it such a special day.

JD (2,1), 1. Ms. W. Amon, Westorps Wild Thing To Pepperthyme, (Imp Swe): A 13mth old dog that is well up to size for his age. He has a correct bite and nice eye, good ear set and good length of neck. Good bone for his age with nice angles to front and rear. Moved well around the ring. Was shown in nice coat.

LD (2), 1. Mr. M. Strong, Mrs. J. Strong, & Miss A. Clinton, Ohanaway Having A Blast At Mackjama: A 20mth old dog that was well mature for his age. He has a correct muzzle and bite, nice shaped head and ear set. Good length of neck, neat front and rear, strong back. He is a very nice type all round and moved out soundly front and rear. Pleased to award him RCC and Res.BD. Well done.     2. Ms. L. Paterson, Eriksfjord Kairissimo: A 3.6yrs old dog of a smaller type to 1st but still in good proportions and is very typey. Moved soundly around the ring.

OD (3,1), 1. Miss. L. Pallatina, Starvon Dark Knight With Valltineya: A neat 4yr old dog, he has a lovely top-line which he kept on the move. Considered him for the RCC, very typey with a good head and neck. Strong back end, good angles front and rear, moved well.     2. Mr. K. Jones, Tanellis Bloomin William: Another 4yr old dog, a bit longer in the loin than 1st, handled very well. He is a very nice type and moved very well.

VD (1), 1. Paterson Ms. L. & Kennedy, Mrs. K., Ch. & Ir. Ch. Eriksfjord Chilled Bunny For Jariaifvin: A 10yr old dog, that was a shear pleasure to watch move around the ring. He is a super type and is so well balanced. He has a super head, good length of neck, neat front, deep chest and super top-line. Firm back-end all ending up in a super package. Pleased to award him the DCC & BOB also BV well done.

JB (1), 1. Mr. & Mrs. G. Simpson, Galerita Northern Star Of Vallholme: A 13mth old sweet natured bitch, very friendly who loves everyone. Shown in a lighter coat she is of a pleasing type with a nice out-line. Moved out ok.

PGB (5), 1. Ms. W. Amon, Pepperthyme A Star Is Born: A 21mth old bitch who headed up this class, she is a pretty bitch with a good head and front. Good neck and clean back, good angles to rear moved well around the ring.      2. Hislop, Mr. D.J. & Dolan, Mrs. K. & Hislop Mrs. E., Tanellis Colina: A 19mth old bitch just pipped for the 1st placing, she is very of a very pleasing type and moved out well. She has a nice head and front. She is slightly shorter than the 1st.      3. Mrs. K. Biss, Valaller Rainmaker: A 2.6yr old that is of a pleasing type with a nice out-line. Just let herself down on the move today.      4. Antieul, Miss R., Stockbridge, Miss J. & Sibley, Mrs. S., Feuervale’s Torchwood, (Imp): Another nice bitch just needs a little more substance. Could come together in the future.

LB (3,1), 1. Zbilut, Mr. S. & Zbilut, Miss S., & Yacomen Miss. S., Ohanaway Shes A Rebel: A 20mths old this young lady was expertly handled. Her head is well balanced, she has a strong neck, neat front and deep brisket. Good shoulders, strong back and good angles to rear. She moved out soundly around the ring. Pleased to award her the RCC, well done.     2. Ms. D. Howe, Valaller Rainchild: A 2.6yr old bitch, pity she came up against the 1st. She is a very nice bitch of excellent type and out-line, with plenty of substance and moved out well.

OB (7,2), 1. Miss K. Diamond, Ch. Eriksfjord Aurora Charm, Sh.CM: This 5yr old bitch is of good type headed up this class. She has a very nice feminine head, strong neck, neat front, good top-line, neat angles front and rear. Moved out well around the ring, she was certainly considered for top honours today. A very nice bitch.     2. Dodd, Mr. R. & Mrs. D., Ch. Tannellis Bloomin Primrose: Another quality 3.6yr old bitch of excellent type, very nicely put together, just pipped on movement today. Just preferred the 1st on the day.     3. Mrs. P. Drinkwater, Trykeira Daleesha: A 6yr old that is of a good type and out-line. Very pleasing overall. Very feminine throughout and she moved ok around the ring. 4. Ms. L. Paterson, Ir. Ch. Eriksfjord Celestial Charm.

VB (1) 1. Ms. J. Howe, Pepperthyme On A Rainbow: A very nice 7yr old bitch, that pulled out all the stops today. She has a very feminine head, strong neck and good front. Neat back end with good angles and strong back. She kept her top-line on the move when she moved around the ring. So very pleased to award her the BCC, well done.
