1st Hart’s Gilliegrae Time T'Shine - 9 months and nice outline for his age and good bone, just needs to mature and bring himself together. Okay in front and lovely rear, with good width of ham and turn of stifle. Small muzzle but has breadth across the skull. Not moving at his best today in the class, and change of handler in the puppy challenge, he had more fun than performance!.

1st Green’s Flores Henry Tudor - nearly two and still immature with a long way to go for the finished article in head and body, but has all the fundamentals. Well laid back shoulder which showed in his movement with good reach and his rear to match with drive. Standing on good feet with straight, oval bone on legs.

2nd Tait’s Talintyre Winter Shadow - 23 month bold preferred this dogs head, correct proportions with good breadth of skull although slightly shorter in muzzle. Level top line good rear movement but not as clean in front and shoulders not as laid back as first. Carries tail high on the move. Could do with tighter feet.

1st Cook & Catton’s Daithi Shadow Dog With Ferngate (Imp Pol) - he won this class on his movement in profile clearly showing reach and drive. Longer in muzzle but with round eyes and good breadth of skull. Clean neck in to well laid back shoulders and good return of upper arm. Slightly higher in the tuck up in his underline carriage, but he holds a strong, level top line, with a slight slope on the croup with tail carried level while on the move.

2nd Taylor’s Laoirebay Monte Carlo – this boy has a lovely head and just my type however he’s a bit finer throughout in the body than my winner. Feet turn out. Good top line and undercarriage however on the move doesn’t show the desired reach and drive but he is a picture on the stand

This was a lovely class to judge, full of quality dogs that could regularly change places. I was spoilt for choice! While top honours didn’t go to any dog in this class they are all worthy winners and top draw dogs.

1st Green’s Zendarric Heart Shaped Box with Viszaset - fully mature male slightly longer cast but out shone on his profile movement with the desired reach and drive and working well with his handler. Nice head with a soft expression and overall shows an athletic outline he is balanced throughout in his construction and has good bone.

2nd Stevens’ Corranroo Clooney Of Annagh - a shorter cast dog and smaller framed than my winner, but to go over is lovely. Made so well and he just flows. Lovely head with dark brown eye and good muscle. A good rear, he moved well just not quite as fluid as first.

1st Ward’s Cornadore Argyle with Copperwhite – A lovely typey dog and no mistaking he is an Irish Red and White! He’s got the breath to skull, slightly rounded dark eyes and balanced length of muzzle giving him the typical head and expression. Good bone and of a good size for a male, remaining in proportion and without coarseness. His top line is level and strong on the stand and move and a good underline. Correct tail set and carried well, and used on the move. Well laidback in shoulder and balanced angulation throughout. Moved well showing reach and drive in profile and was true fore and aft. Pleased to award him the CC today.

2nd Jakins & Knox’s NL Ch Terne Des Coris Qalimero at Coolfin JW (Imp) - Heavier type in head but still remains that soft expression with a dark round eye and well set ears. Good bone and feet but a little more upright in his upper arm which shows in his movement not giving him the desired reach. Good body shape with strong level topline.

3rd Collins’ Romaunt Bloomin Grand at Forestpoint

1st Wade’s Sh Ch Ballakinnish Malachi at Oldestone - A 10 year old dog that defies his age. What a lovely head with a soft expression, good bone, nice front standing on good feet. He has a strong muscular neck going into well laid back shoulders with good angulation balanced across front and rear. He shows a great typey outline from nose to tip of tail on both the stand and the move. He moves with purpose and is true. I could not deny him the reserve CC today.

2nd Taylor’s Laoirebay Midnight Drifter - Just seven years old and an upstanding dog. Nice head with good breadth to skull and good features giving a soft expression. His movement was erratic.

1st Jakins & Knox’s Coolfin Ailbhe - A lovely puppy who today was very happy and wrigley. Still very immature as she should be but shows good shape and balance. Very well made and well angled at this age. She has a very pretty head of good type. Moved well when she could get her legs to work together.

1st Gardner’s Charnborough Charisma of Danwish – What a puppy, I’m not sure where to start, but I’m sure she will go far. She has the most beautiful head, dark eye, soft expression and well-proportioned muzzle to skull. Good neck leading to well laid back shoulders and good return of upper arm, with balanced angulation in front and rear. Her body shows the typical shape desired for an Irish Red and White Setter. Good width of ham and the correct slightly sloping croup to the tail set. She moved true and foot perfect, showing good reach and drive and clean movement front and rear. Well deserved RCC today and best puppy in breed. I expect she will have a lot more fun and wins in the ring.

1st Brooke’s Drumlace Shadow in Earnest (IKC) - just 12 months old and well constructed but still a long way off full maturity. Sweet head with dark round eye. She has good fore chest but standing wide in front. Good rear with width of thigh and well angulated although a tad long in second thigh. In good condition and moved with style in profile.

1st Tait’s Talintyre Winter Spice - Nearly two years old. Lovely bitch with a good head, good skull and features showing dark, round eye and well set ears. Nice bone. Good reach of neck flowing to well laid back shoulders. Balanced throughout. Moves lovely on her loose lead in all angles holding her tail out. Good tail set and carriage. Nice shape all round

2nd Hart’s Berryessa Ballderg with Gilliegrae - Good breath of skull with dark round eye showing pleasing expression, would just prefer a little more length in muzzle. For me she is too long through the body and second thigh. Wasn’t moving well today.

A close class between these two sisters who will change places regularly.

1st Hodgetts’ Alanea Obsession of Hodgehall - Lovely soft head showing that desired soft expression. Good bone. Little narrower at front. Elbows close to body. Level top line held on the stand on the move. Well angulated front and rear with good width of thigh

2nd Tattersall Alanea Silhouette - Lacking maturity in the body today compared to her sister broader in head but remains feminine. Feet not her fortune. Moved well.

LB (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st Callaghan’s Laoirebay Penny Lane - A larger bitch throughout but still made well with good proportions head OK with correct dark, round eye and ear set level with the eye. Moved well in profile. Would just prefer a bit more to her back end.

2nd Ward’ Cornadore Bia Becomes Copperwhite - A lovely typey bitch who unfortunately got spooked today which upset her movement. Pretty head with feminine, soft expression. Dark eyes. Good neck into well laidback shoulders nice shape and balance.

OB (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1st Tait’s Sh Ch Lovenjoel Sleeping Beauty - Another lovely typey, fully mature bitch with a lovely head with that slight rounded skull, good muzzle with depth but keeping that soft expression with her round dark eyes and correctly set ears. Straight front and good bone for her size. Correctly angulated front and rear and well muscled, which showed in her movement which was effortless around the ring allowing her to take the class, CC and Best of Breed

2nd Sherratt & Blackwell - Sherratt’s, Sh Ch Alanea Holly Fern at Charnborough - A slightly finer bitch throughout in type but correct head, dark round eye and good length to muscle. Made well and on the stand is just showing that slightly longer than tall proportions. Very lazy on the move today while showing correct foot fall just didn't have the animation.

3rd Walker’s Sh Ch Zendarric It's A Kind Of Magic within Wroxham
