Every exhibit present was a credit to the breed each one delivering on quality, type and presentation. My thanks you all and to my helpful stewards

1. Hackett - Sh Ch Curlyco My Hot Rock Star

An upstanding strongly built three years eight months old quality dog approaching his mature best. Pleasing for size and balance overall with excellent level top line. Correctly proportioned head skull to muzzle, nostrils wide, pleasing breed expression with attractive eye colour and shape, full top-knot on show. Typical barrel rib cage reaching well back promoting an excellent rolling motion on the move, straight and true in front I considered him to have slightly better bone and feet to my second placed dog. Firmly coupled at the loins which were well muscled and broad, would prefer slightly more bend of stifle but possessed excellent strong hind quarter muscling with deep second thighs, moved soundly fore and aft with determined forward reach and powerful rear drive. Base of tail well covered with hair, thick and of good length, carried perfectly on the move. Delighted to award him dog CC and a most worthy BOB.

2. Andrews & Blades - Sh Ch Eldarrah Clash Of Kings for Antdela

A confident smart four year eight months old liver dog with an attractive head and expression demonstrating an appealing masculine finesse overall. Good strong bone and round feet not quite the barrel rib cage of the winner in my opinion. Well turned stifles with excellent tail carriage moving with stronger drive than the winner though somewhat less settled in his rear action. A very worthy champion presented in excellent coat and condition on the day, reserve CC.

3. Busby & Busby - Stanegate Leading Role At Zakby JW

A lovely three and half year typical dog, stronger in head than those above but with well balanced proportions, carrying his tail slightly raised on the move today which for me detracted from the overall picture. He stood on the best bone and feet of the three dogs present with excellent barrel rib cage but coat slightly more open than those above. Excellent level top line, throat smooth with clean V-shaped patch on show, tail well covered, thick and of correct length. Moved soundly with a delightful temperament on show.

1. Ford - Sh Ch Cuboglach Petite Wave

A strongly built substantial eight year mature bitch, very impressive presence as a veteran, upstanding smart and well-knit together overall. Most typical well-proportioned head, particularly good muzzle, nothing exaggerated and clear top-knot on show. Excellent bone and feet for her age, top line still strong and firm, stifles well bent and attractive patterning. Excellent lay of shoulders set to super well barrelled rib cage with powerful hind quarters. Still in excellent fit well muscled condition throughout. Coat short and close though I considered somewhat soft in texture on the day. A sound true and steady mover, correct tail set and carriage with plenty of hair at the thick base. Delighted to award her RBCC & BV and later learned she won VG1 on the day.

1. Stirk & Stirk - Stanegate Hey It's Bianca NAF TAF

Six months old with pleasing breed outline and delightful temperament on show. Still quite raw but full of promise, well balanced head, pleasing eye colour and shape, fine muzzle. Head properties full of potential, good bone and feet, excellent top line, needs to tighten in front and coat needs time to come. Tail well set and carried, BP.

1. Bradley & Bradley - Stanegate Stage Debut (ai)

An impressive smart sixteen month compact, squarely built exhibit presented in lovely solid body condition as a junior with coat dense and typical, very well angulated throughout built along clean lines with excellent head and tail carriage on the move. Attractive head and expression, top-knot developing, well barrelled rib cage with good bone and feet. Firm level top line held well on the move, demonstrated excellent reach and drive and complementing the best dog very well in the challenge. Highly typical overall and most worthy of the BCC at this age in my opinion.

2. Roberts & Walker - Gloi Donn Crazy Little Thing

Similar age to the winner with the best head on show in the class in my opinion though I considered her coat slightly more open than the winner. Well barrelled rib cage, level firm top line, the best of strong bone and large round feet. Not quite as forward and confident as the winner on the day, tail well set but not showing to advantage today. A very sound, true free flowing mover.

3. McCallum & McCallum - Weemaes All About Eve

A well balanced seventeen month slightly stronger in head than those above but a coat finish I preferred to that of the second placed. An upstanding bitch of good size with strong bone and feet but not currently quite the top-line rib cage or body finish of those above. A sound mover, tail well set and carried, delightful temperament, just needs time to continue developing to her full potential.

OB (3,0)

1. Ford - Sh Ch Cuboglach Petite Wave

2. Carruthers - Gloi Donn Believe In Dreams At Stanegate

Highly typical three years and four month bitch compact and strongly built. Mature well proportioned head with attractive breed expression, ears well set, top-knot on show, strong neck but top line not so settled as the winner on the move and appearing not quite as tight in front on the day. Strong muscling overall, dense coat, well coloured, a bitch with many attractive breed attributes.

3. Smith - Ir Sh Ch Foulby Niamh at Leonardston

A four year bitch with a rangier outline than the second placed but presenting with the most powerful hind quarters in the class. Her coat was rather more open than the second bitch but she has a very pleasing head, well proportioned, strong bone, good spring of rib cage but not currently the depth or brisket of those above. Showed a happy disposition on the move with tail low set and correctly carried.
