This breed as been one of my very special breeds to judge. I have been around them for many years and what I viewed today was so very pleasing the quality and depth of quality in the breed is to be congratulated. I have seen them develop over the many years and it must be so regarding as breeders to see the quality in front of you. Thank you.

Class 113 SBD (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 281 HENDERSON, Mrs L J When I Was Your Man Black Lofty (imp pol) A little proud of his tail today which when on the move spoils his overall outline. Good head, strong body moved well.

2 different exibits both missing what would have been an interesting puppy career. Im sure these 2 will change places many times in the future. Winner won on movement today. Shall wathc them with interest as time moves on.

1st: 305 PHILLIPS, Mrs A & WATKINS, Ms T & MILES, Ms E GLENMAURANGI MANDALORIAN at 14 months this young dog is full of promise and quality. litter brother to junior winner and not surprised to see he is dam is my BCC and BOB winner on the day. Love him in overall shape and outline, galloping lines and stylish dog he certainly is. Moved true covering the ground well.

1st: 312 SMALLEY, Mrs K & SMALLEY, Mr B Paradise Scots Blaeyberry For Glenmoss Stood alone in the class, slighter in build than I would like, presented in good coat and condition.

1st: 282 HORLER, Mrs R & HORLER, Mr K Hernwood Jack O'Lantern by Rackens JW A dog with a lot to like about him. His head is so well balanced displaying the wonderful expresive eybrows giving him lots of character. Good body, strong quarters and moved well.

2nd: 279 HAMILTON-SMITH, Mrs S Kilnrae Signature Over Samsett

3rd: 285 JOHNSTON, Mr P & JOHNSTON, Mrs L & JOHNSTON, Miss Glenquin The Patriot

1st: 254 BAINES, Mrs P Bryerdale Quantas (A.i) As the breed asks for symmetrical in conformation this is precisely what he displays in my opinion. Such a top quality dog in all departments. I feel sure top honours will come his way soon on this form.

What a wonderful class of top class Gordons, its such an honour to be able to judge this waulity of exhibits.

1st: 259 BOXALL, mrs F & SALAMON, dr L Eur SA Sh Ch Ludstar Frederick Frankenstein (Imp) I have judged this dog before in the Gundog group a few years ago which he won on the day. My opinion of him hasn't changed which when shown in the breed as a veteran now is so very special. The breed calls for a stylish dog, symmetrical in conformation and he simply oozes this. He excels on the move with his steady movement, covering the ground with ease using his strong quarters. delighted to award him the DCC, he sadly gave way to the younger female today for BOB. thank you.

2nd: 309 SANDIFORD, Mr P & SANDIFORD, Mrs C & LEWIS, Miss C Sh Ch Hernwood Neptune Sea A top quality dog of outstanding quality. Slighter built than winner today but still displaying all the qualities required from a Gordon Setter. Presented in outstanding form in wonderful condition.

1st: 270 EWART, Mrs D YENNADON BOTANIST ISLAY Not at all bothered about her surroundings and at just 7 months she is a real baby. promising puppy and I hope her handler keeps working with her. best of luck for the future.

2nd: 287 JONES, Mrs A & JONES, Mr D Roydack The Duchess, when this bitch was allow to free stand without being stacked by her handler she looked much happier with her surroundings. Time and practice im sure will over come this,

Class 125 MPB (5 Entries) Abs: 1

A good class of very promising puppies presented today. winner won on overall conformation and movement today but these are youngsters and i was pleased to see none over handled. Thank you.

1st: 258 BOXALL, mrs F Laurelhach Renaissance, placed 2 nd in previous class and same comments apply. Top quality youngster full of promise.

2nd: 319 WILLIAMS, Mrs E & WILLIAMS, Mr B Longrow Foxy Lady a little unsure of her surroundings which is what is not to be unexpected. confidence will come I'm sure.

3rd: 270 EWART, Mrs D YENNADON BOTANIST ISLAY

1st: 283 HORN, Mrs S & HORN, Mr K ORDETT LOVE ME DO AT KEASWOOD my notes say i love her, which is no surprise to see she is sired by my DCC winner. good head and eye, good neck and shoulders strong body, deep chest and well sprung ribs. strong quarters and moved very well so true and positive. a pleasure to judge one i shall watch with interest.

2nd: 313 THOMAS, Dr M Glynderys Moonstone, similar build to winner but preferred winner in head shape and balance.

3rd: 322 WRIGLEY, Miss K & WRIGLEY, Mrs S Kattandale Blac Highlander [AI]

Class 128 YB (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 274 GREEN, Mrs D Benbuie True Colours at Malocomi A lot to like about this exhibit, from her good head, true front and good body. So well balanced in outline. Strong quarters which she used on the move. However her handler does need to slow down a little with her.

2nd: 322 WRIGLEY, Miss K & WRIGLEY, Mrs S Kattandale Blac Highlander [AI] heavier than winner, but still displaying all the qulaities required of a Gordon setter. Moved well.

3rd: 287 JONES, Mrs A & JONES, Mr D Roydack The Duchess

1st: 261 COLLINGBORN, Mrs J Pollyspark Queen Bee stood alone. Longer cast that I would like, and a little high in quarters but moved well.

Class 131 PGB (7 Entries) Abs: 1

Quality bitches that could have changed places at any time. I like the winner in overall balance and shape, she shouts I'm a female Gordon setter. Both of these have good heads and clean neck and shoulders, Strong body with deep chest and both have pro sternum whihc i found to be missing in places. Both moved well.

Quite a different class in terms of quality. winner moved well in profile and this made the decision as to the 1st place. 2nd place bitch is rangier and heavier that winner.

1st: 304 PHILLIPS, Mrs A & WATKINS, Ms T Sh Ch Flaxheath Top Model At Glenmaurangi, This top class bitch presented in hard condition and presented in high class coat. From her head to her tail she is wonderful, so full of quality. Her head and expression is wonderful so full of intelligent as she actually never took her eyes of me as I judged her. Delighted to award her BCC and BOB and delighted to see her go group 2 later in the day. 2nd: 288 JUSTICE, Mrs M Ch Liric Nostalgia a sound honest bitch will of quality. nothing exaggerated about her, sound in all departments. presented in hard condition and top class coat.

3rd: 257 BOXALL, mrs F Sh Ch Laurelhach Entrapment JW

1st: 293 MAPPIN, Ms A Sh Ch Bryerdale Texas Star JW Dam of my rdcc winner, she is the female version of him. Good head and strong neck displaying the classic arch that gives the air of quality in the setters. Deep chest, well sprung ribs and strong loin. Good quarters which she used to full advantage.

2nd: 268 DIXON, Mrs J Ecameadow Saffron with Wallbank Sound honest bitch full of quality. moved well covering ground with ease.

3rd: 318 WILLIAMS, Mrs E & WILLIAMS, Mr B Longrow I Love to Boogie JW
