Finnish Lapphund Club Of Great Britain

Breed: Finnish Lapphund

Thank you to the Club for this invitation. I very much enjoyed my day with our wonderful breed. I was looking for a Lapphund that had the key essentials of breed type and one that also looked like it could actually do a days work with the reindeer! I look for great construction and movement, and I was able to find excellent dogs that matched this criteria. Some harp on about size of dogs – particularly the smaller end, but in a standard where it says ‘type is more important than size’, some would probably benefit by focussing on this and ensuring that proportions are correct i.e. body depth slightly less than half the height at withers. We need to watch coat texture. The standard is specific in its requirements, and many are verging on too soft. Profuse coat is also very different to over coated and some I feel are verging on the later. Please don’t change the breed for glamour purposes. Thank you to my excellent stewards who really looked after me. A great entry with some very good dogs indeed. Thank you to all who entered and accepted by decisions in the sportsmanlike attitude I would expect of this breed.

Special Veteran Dog (1)

1st: Meikle & Henderson’s Ch Marymead Muskateer Sh CM. An old friend of mine who remains an upstanding, handsome example of this breed. Lovely masculine head with ears of correct shape and set wide enough apart. Eyes are oval in shape and the colour harmonises very well with his coat colour. All in all, he has a gorgeous, masculine expression without being overdone. Neck of medium length. Shoulders are moderately laid and upper arm angles back to set forelegs correctly. Good bone throughout. Lovely proportions all through. Chest is deep and broad enough and carried well back. His topline is firm and straight. Very muscular loins and slight tuck up. Very well turned stifles and low set hocks. He carries his tail over the back on the move as required. Today, he moved to absolute perfection and was a joy to watch going around the ring. He has a true brisk , unexaggerated action. Outer coat has the correct degree of coarseness. Lacking a bit in some undercoat on the day. In super muscular condition – really looked like he could do a proper days work with the reindeer. Despite his slight lack of coat, my eyes were drawn to him throughout, and I felt him an easy CC winner here.

2nd: Clark’s Oberitz Trollnisse at Lumenico. Another dog with good proportions. He has a masculine head. Slighter fuller in eye than I prefer. Ears are wide set and good for shape and size. More upright in shoulder and upper arm than the winner which then doesn’t quite balance with the good bend of stifle that he has. Chest is deep enough and good for width. Ribs carried well back. Short, firm loins. Tail set and carriage ok. Great coat for texture. Pasterns slope slightly and hocks are low to ground. Moves soundly out and back, but, for me, not quite the balance in profile. Very well presented.

Special Vintage Dog (1,0)

1st: Aristides-Pickard’s Bel Ch Sambreeze Valkoisetsukat. Another dog I have liked for many years. Love his type. Super masculine head with perfect dark oval eyes. Ears are wide set and not overly large and very well furred. Muzzle correct for length and width. Neck is firm with profuse hair of the correct texture. Very well angulated all through. Chest reaches to elbows and its’ width is ok for his age. Ribs carried well back. Topline firm. Loins are rather broad. Tail ok for set and carriage. Pasterns slope slightly and hocks are low to ground. Great coat. A little excess weight on the day, and a tad lethargic on the move, though absolutely sound.

Minor Puppy Dog (6,1)

Some very promising youngsters here

1st: Aristides-Pickard’s Sambreeze Mikki Bear Cub. A very attractive young man. Excellent head. Skull to muzzle is well balanced. Eyes are of a lovely oval shape and colour harmonises with coat. Muzzle shows decent width and tapers slightly. Ears are set well apart and ok for size and shape. He has a gorgeous masculine expression. Neck medium in length. He has a beautiful body shape with well laid shoulders and good slope to upper arm which brings his forelegs under him. Chest developing well. Topline is firm. Tails is set high and carried up on the move. In puppy coat. Bone developing well. Persisted in pacing, but once handler turned him, he displayed a very lovely brisk stride covering enough ground.

2nd: Critchlow’s Pavoskas Eloisa Eniko. Altogether more immature than the winner, but also displays a nice type. Attractive head still to develop on more. Eyes are oval, well set and dark in colour. Ears are smallish and wide set. Very mischievous expression! Shorter in neck and squarer in body than winner at present. Bone to develop on. Moderate angulation all through and well balanced. Sound mover.

3rd: Upshall’s Tabanyaruu Yosmo Rukankoti. I really liked this puppy. Delightful head which shows all the potential of a top class Lapphund on maturity. Lovely oval eyes which are dark in colour. Ears are wide set and ideal for shape and set. Lovely body proportions and angulation all through. Chest and bone are coming along nicely. Firm topline. Tails is high set. Coat still to develop. Little difficult to view his bite, so a little more training here, and I’m sure he’ll end up at the front of many line-ups.

Puppy Dog (5,1)

1st: Allison’s Oberitz Kaamoksen Ruhtinas. A most typey puppy with gorgeous outline. From first look you can see he is ‘all’ Finnish Lapphund, and lovely and workmanlike. Head shows correct balance of muzzle to skull. Already showing good masculinity without being coarse. Stop still to develop slightly more. Lovely dark, oval eyes. Soft expression. Ears are set wide enough apart and medium in size. Neck is medium in length. Well laid shoulders and correct degree of slope to upper arm. Bone developing well. Chest reaches to elbows and has decent width already. Firm topline, short loins. Well-tuned stifles and low set hocks. High set tail. Lovely texture to top coat. Lovely mover in profile with a good brisk, effortless stride. Could be tidier in front. Very well handled. BPIS

2nd Aristides-Pickard’s Sambreeze Mikki Bear Cub 3rd: Upshall’s Tabanyaruu Yosmo Rukankoti.

Junior Dog (2,1)

1st: Allison’s Oberitz Kaamoksen Ruhtinas.

Novice Dog (3,1)

1st: Aristides-Pickard’s Sambreeze Mikki Bear Cub 2nd: Critchlow’s Pavoskas Eloisa Eniko

Yearling Dog (2,0)

1st: Forsey’s Arianrhod Black Sun Aeon At Muzoku. This dog has the most super expression – so soft and bear like, but alert and attentive. Masculine. His eyes are of excellent oval shape and dark in colour. Ears are medium size, triangular and set well apart. They are also very well furred. Stop is clearly defined and muzzle is just shorter than skull and tapers slightly. Neck is ok for length, but sometimes looks shorter when his handler is stood in front of him and the dog is looking up – maybe stand to side slightly. Moderate angulation to front. Equal bone lengths. Good for bone calibre. Very nice shape to feet. Proportion of body length to height is good. Muscular loins. Tail set maybe a tad low, but carries it very well on the move. Moderate bend to stifles and medium definition at the hocks. A well balanced dog. Moves with consummate ease. Very pleasing and considered for the top awards on his overall attributes. Just gave some ground on maturity on the day.

2nd: Thomas’ Elbereth Lapinpeikko (AI). Another dog with a good masculine head, Very good eyes for shape and set. Ears are wide set and not overly large. Well-balanced skull to muzzle. Would prefer more scissor bite. Lovely body shape. Well balanced all through. Bone calibre is good for size. Topline is firm and loins are short. Better tail set than 1st. Pasterns slightly sloping and hocks well let down. Sound mover in all directions.

Graduate Dog (2)

1st: Allison’s Oberitz Kaamoksen Ruhtinas

2nd: Samuel’s Oberitz Buoremus. Attractive young dog. Eyes are oval in shape and dark in colour. Muzzle to skull equal. Stop clearly defined. Muzzle tapers slightly to tip. Ears are good for shape, but felt they looked a little low set. Kind expression, just preferred the alertness of 1st. Neck is moderate in length. Front not quite as well angulated as the winner, but ample. Bone is of good calibre. Chest is moderate in depth and of good width. Ribs carried well back. Short, firm loins which are broad enough. Pasterns slightly sloping and hocks low to ground. Tail set on high and he carries it up on the move. Sound mover, but not as balanced as 1st.

Post Graduate Dog (3,1)

1st: Matheson’s Thistleglen Comanche. A lovely dog who really took my eye. Loved his workmanlike appearance. Very well balanced head with good muzzle to skull ratio. Muzzle tapers slightly to tip. You really have to look through the markings and feel that his skull has good width. Stop defined but not excessive. Eyes are oval and dark. I love his spectacles! Ears are medium sized, triangular and very well furred, Very well laid shoulders and upper arm is set to bring forelegs well under him. Chest is deep enough and ok for width. Short loins and firm topline. Well-turned stifles and low set hocks. Tail set high and carries it up on the move. Great coarse texture to topcoat! I’d say bone still needs to develop on more towards full maturity. Lovely brisk, free side gait. Needs a bit more training on the out and back . Promising dog.

2nd: Clark’s Luminkoira Maitosuklaa at Lumenico. Masculine head with correct muzzle to skull ratio. Eyes are oval in shape and the colour harmonises with the coat Skull is perhaps a shade flat. Ears appear rather too low set, but are good for shape and are very well furred. Neck a fraction short for me. Shoulders more upright than 1st. Upper arm angles back enough. Stands much squarer in outline than 1st. Ribcage a tad short, but of good depth. Loins short, firm and broad. Moderate turn to stifle and hocks. Bond good for size. Tail set is high. Not as balanced in profile movement as the winner. Very well handled.

Limit Dog ( 2,0)

1st Infindigo Lintu Miika. This dog has a super masculine head with soft expression. Eyes are excellent for shape, set and colour. Ears are triangular, set well apart and well furred. His muzzle is well proportioned and tapers slightly to tip. Stop is well defined without being excessive. Skull is not too domed. Good neck. Well angulated in front. Good bone. Chest reaches to elbows and is medium in width. Firm topline. Short firm loins. Slightly less angulation in rear than front. Tail set is high and he carries it up on the move. Coat of great texture. Moves very soundly, but not quite the drive through the rear I prefer. Tended to pace in the challenge which was a shame. In tip top condition.

2nd: Bright’s Thistleglen Fred. Such a super attractive boy with masculine head. Correct muzzle to skull ratios. Stop could be a tad more defined for me. Eyes are oval and dark enough. Ears are neat and well placed. Not as strong in features as 1st. Neck is a tad short and shoulders not as well laid as 1st. Upper arm angles back sufficiently. Chest is ok for depth and width. Stifles moderately angulated. Tail looks a bit low set. Hocks low to ground. Moves soundly. Shown in super condition. Just preferred the stronger features of 1st.

Open Dog (7,0)

1st: Short’s Ch Glenchess Greogory. A dog I have previously awarded a CC and put up good competition here too. I can’t add to my critique on him last time really. He still has a most lovely head with the correct degree of strength, width and magnificent expression – text book. Very well angulated all through. Great bone and body proportions. He has a massive coat which is of such a good texture. His topline is firm. Loins are short enough and are broad. Tail set is high and he carries it well on the move. I still think he is a top class dog, but on the day he really didn’t stand to advantage and though very sound moving with a stride I admire, he looked just a tad sluggish and couldn’t match the verve of the CC winner who looked so much more on his toes and alert. Had to settle for the RCC today.

2nd: Manley’s Skimarque Talvi Susi. Totally bald today which rather ruined his chances. Looked very immature in this class. Super head which is so balanced and had ideal ratios. Super soft expression. He looks like a little bear. Lovely dark eyes which are oval in shape. Ears are super for shape and are wide set to help give that essential ‘look’. Neck of moderate length leading to very laid shoulders. Upper arm angles back to set forelegs well under him. Chest is ok for depth and width. His topline is firm and his loins are short and strong. Good bone for size. Well bent stifles and low set hocks. Tail is set high and he carries it up on the move. Extremely sound mover in all directions. A future champion I’m sure when he is fully mature.

3rd: Samuel’s Oberitz Upponalle. A super attractive, masculine boy who again has the most super head. Muzzle to skull ratio is very good. Correct degree of stop. Gorgeous eyes for shape and set. His

ears are wide set and triangular in shape without being over big. Muzzle tapers slightly. Neck of medium length. Excellent angles all through. Lovely chest for depth and width. Good daylight under him. Great bone. Firm topline and short loins. Stifles show medium turn and moderate definition at the hocks. Croup slopes slightly. Tail is well set. He moves so fluidly and in the brisk, agile nature of the breed. Still looks like he could do a days work. All the way through, I felt he would win this class, but when he moved, he persisted in holding his tail down. I feel this is an important characteristic of the breed, and in this company, where every little thing mattered, it ultimately went against him. Super boy who will have his day.

Good Citizen Dog (2,1)

1st: Bright’s Thistleglen Fred.

Special Veteran Bitch (3,0)

All here were an absolute credit to their owners.

1st: Thomas’ Elbereth Suvituuli. A bitch I have judged on various occasions and have always liked. She’s an extremely attractive girl of a type and shape I like. Workmanlike, yet has the good qualities of a show dog. Feminine head with good width to skull and balance to muzzle. Dark eyes which are oval in shape. Ears are wide set. Correct degree of stop. Neck moderate for length. Very good angulation fore and aft. Chest is deep enough for a bitch and width is pretty good. Her topline is firm. Short, strong loins. Ideal bone for her size. Slight tuck up. Pasterns show a slight slope and her hocks are low to ground. Tails is high set and she carries it up on the move. Lovely texture to outer coat. Undercoat a bit sparse on the day. Really super mover in all directions. Still looking fit and active. Lovely bitch. Best Veteran Bitch.

2nd: Treasure’s Infindigo Riemu Emmi Sh CM. Another attractive bitch who always makes me smile. Feminine head with all the essentials that make an excellent Finnish Lapphund. She gives ground to 1st on not being quite so well angulated in front. Good bone for size. Enough width and depth to chest. Stifles are well bent. Topline is firm. Slight tuck up. Tail set ok. Coat a little sparse. Very sound in all her movements, but not quite the scope of 1st. Very well handled.

3rd: Moore’s Elbereth Kiasma at Morval. Bigger bitch all through. Skull is wide and head overall is well balanced. Not as feminine expression as 1st or 2nd. Lovely body shape with pretty good angulation all through. Topline firm. Perhaps carrying just a little bit of extra weight. Sound on the move.

Minor Puppy Bitch (4,0)

1st: Nardone’s Limishka Kareitar. Up to size. Attractive head and wonderful expression. A little feminine bear. Lovely oval shape to eyes with colour harmonising with coat. Skull to muzzle ratio is correct. Muzzle tapers slightly to tip. Lovely wide set ears of correct shape and set. Neck ideal for length. Excellent lay to shoulders and upper arm angled back well to set forelegs correctly. Chest reaches just above elbows. Chest width correct for age. Lovely bone. Topline was firm and level – the hair on her back was sticking up – so I really had to feel here. Tail set is ok and she carries it up on the move. Well bent stifles and low set hocks. Puppy coat. Moves extremely soundly in all directions.

Lost out to the puppy dog on his greater energy on the move. Best Puppy Bitch. Should have an exciting future.

2nd: Critchlow’s Pavoskas Eloisa Evie. Another exciting young lady. Very attractive feminine head that is obviously still developing. Gorgeous eyes and expression. Ears are wide set and good for shape. Neck is medium in length. Moderate angulation all through. Love her body shape and proportions – being slightly longer than tall. Bone developing well. Topline firm and loins short. Tail set is high. Lovely feet. Very sound mover. Not quite as mature as 1st on the day, but no doubt these two will have many tussles in the ring in the future. Lovely.

3rd: Hall’s Sambreeze Bumblebee. Another nice prospect. Not as ‘coated’ as 1st or 2nd. She exhibits a most lovely shape with good angulation all through. Very pretty head with good muzzle to skull ratio. Eyes are good for colour and are oval in shape. Soft expression. Needs to grow into her ears. Body already showing very good development. Topline is firm. Tail set high. Sound on the move. Another who should have a good future, just preferred the overall look and proportions of 1st and 2nd on the day.

Puppy Bitch (2,0)

1st: Nardone’s Limishka Kareitar.

2nd: Allison’s Oberitz Tumma Ruhtinatar. Another who shows promise. Rather narrow through the skull at present and ears look a little close set and pointy. Features all rather sharper looking than 1st’s. Neck medium in length. Moderate lay to shoulders. Upper arm has moderate return. Ok for bone. Topline is firm. Good height to length ratio. Pasterns are slightly sloping and hocks are quite low to ground. Tail is set on high. Moves soundly round the ring. Not as tidy as 1st out and back. Well presented.

Junior Bitch (3,0)

1st: Jackson’s Elbereth Huurrehuntu. I liked this bitch very much. Super for type. Eyes are dark and oval in shape. Gorgeous expression. Skull to muzzle ratio is good and she has enough stop without being overdone. Muzzle tapers slightly. Ears are wide set and of good triangular shape. She displays femininity through the head but without any weakness. Good neck leading to well laid shoulders. Even length to and slope of upper arm. Front legs are set nicely under her. Good depth to brisket and enough width for her age. Good bone and feet. Pasters slope slightly. Topline is firm, loins strong and she has a slight tuck up. Well bent stifles and good definition at the hocks, which are also firm and strong. Tail set is high and she carries it up on the move. Good coarse texture to outer coat. Undercoat to come through fully. Excellent mover being brisk, free and agile. Really considered her for one of the green cards as I loved her size and overall correctness, just lost out on the day on maturity.

2nd: Allison’s Oberitz Tumma Ruhtinatar.

3rd: Brown, Wyatt & Clarks’ Lumikoira Sanaleikki Kassi. This girl still has a lot of development to do. Her head is balanced with skull and muzzle in suitable ratios. Her eyes are of oval shape but are too light in colour. Her ears are in proportion to her head but just a little pointed in shape. She has moderate lay to shoulders and her upper arm slopes to the correct degree. Her topline is firm. She

has a slight tuck up. Stifles are moderately bent. Tail set is ok. She is rather long in body for height at the withers. Moves very soundly.

Maiden Bitch (4,2)

1st Crowhurst’s Starlapps Girji. If only all Lapphunds could move like this girl! A more workmanlike girl. Head more refined than some, but of correct proportions. Stop could develop slightly more. Eyes are lovely and oval in shape and dark in colour. Ears are triangular in shape and set wide enough apart. Very alert, attentive but soft expression. Her underjaw could be slightly stronger for balance. Gorgeous body shape and angulation and this is all reflected in her superb movement – one of the best of the day! Bone ok for size. Tail is high set and she carries it up on the move. Super condition. I’d like slightly more of her, but she has many features that I greatly admire in a Lapphund which is a breed developed for a specific function I’m sure she’d excel in.

2nd: Hall’s Sambreeze Bumblebee.

Novice Bitch (5,3)

1st: Crowhurst’s Starlapps Girji.

2nd: Mowatt’s Tabanyaruu Wihta Matiska (AI). What a gorgeous head this bitch has. Like a beautiful teddy bear. Very good eyes for shape, set and colour. Well balanced skull to muzzle. Muzzle tapers slightly to the tip and she has a definite stop. Ears are wide set and excellent for shape – very well furred too! Good bone for size. Moderate angles all through. Enough depth and width to ribcage. Stands a little bum high at the moment and this shows in her movement. Crabs slightly at present. In super coat with correct texture. Very well presented.

Yearling Bitch (5,1)

1st: Llyod’s Arianrhod Hallatar. Beautiful bitch with a very typical head. Good muzzle for width and depth. Correct ratio of muzzle to skull. Stop defined, but not overdone. Eyes are dark and oval in shape. Her ears are wide set of medium size and triangular in shape. Neck is moderate in length. Moderate angulation fore and aft. Good development of chest. Correct proportions being slightly longer than tall. Firm topline. Slight slope to croup. Tail is held high on the move. Good low set hocks. Excellent mover. I would like a few pounds off her for my personal preference.

2nd: Allison & Bright’s Oberitz Beaivvas. A more substantial bitch with a pretty head. Very typey. Eyes and ears are standard fitting. Her neck is medium in length. Angulation is good all through. Slightly better width through chest than 3rd. Good bone for size. Nice proportions. Tail is set on high. Slight slope to pasterns and low set hocks. Moves very soundly.

3rd: Crowhurst’s Starlapps Girji

Graduate Bitch (6,4)

1st: Meikle & Henderson’s Vis Et Gloria Notte At Lintukoto (Imp It). A super bitch. Loved her size, shape and proportions. Super head for balance. Skull is well proportioned. Her muzzle has good width and depth and tapers slightly to the tip. Eyes are perhaps a tad full and ears a little big. Super make and shape with excellent angulation fore and aft. I really admired this feature as some are so lacking in this area. Great bone for size. Super topline and short, firm loins. High set tail which she carries up on the move. Slightly sloping pasterns and low set hocks. Super coarse outer coat. Super mover in profile with a lovely brisk agile stride, but covering the ground as I like. Very close up to the top awards. The overall expression of the winners just gave them the nod, but very close. Lovely bitch. Preferred her overall athleticism and style to 2nd.

2nd Llyod’s Arianrhod Hallatar.

3rd: Allison & Bright’s Oberitz Beaivvas.

Post Graduate Bitch (7,5)

1st: Graystone’s Morval Helina Keiju. She came, she saw, she conquered! What a cracker! What a beautiful feminine bitch she is, yet with the strength required for a Lapphund. Super shape to skull and her muzzle is in complete balance with correct proportions. Correct depth and width to muzzle which tapers slightly to the tip. Beautiful oval eyes which are dark in colour. She has a wonderful expression A lovely medium length neck leads to very well laid shoulders. Her upper arm angles back to bring her forelegs under her. Her depth of body is slightly less than half the height at withers. Great bone for size. Moderate spring of ribs which and carried well back. Short, firm loins. Ideal body proportions for me. Well bent stifles and low set, well defined hocks. High set tail. Super coat texture, quality and condition. Excellent on the move -very free, brisk and covers the amount of ground I like to see. She really looks like she would be able to do the job she was intended for. A super bitch. I just loved her and found nothing to beat her today. First of many CC’s I’m sure. So very well handled. CC, her first, and BIS.

2nd: 2nd Llyod’s Arianrhod Hallatar.

3rd: Anderson’s Oberitz Aikamoinen For Limishka. A more refined bitch through the head but all in proportion with correct width to skull and muzzle. Super attractive and wonderful expression. Eyes are oval and dark in colour. Ears are neat and wide set. Nice shape to her skull. Neck is medium in length. Super angulation all through. Bone calibre is ok for size. I was happy too with her proportions when I felt under her profuse coat – which is of correct texture. Tail set ok. Lovely feet. Pasterns are slightly sloping and she has low set, firm hocks. Super mover in all directions. Will push the best all the way when she is back in full muscular condition. Lovely bitch.

Limit Bitch (6,0)

1st: Critchlow’s Pavoskas Disco JW. A taller bitch. Most beautiful head with all the essentials of a very good Lapphund. Eyes good for shape and set. Ears are wide set, of good shape and well furred. Neck of medium length. Well laid shoulders and moderate slope to upper arm. Good depth and width to chest. Well ribbed. Firm topline. Short loins. Excellent bone throughout. High set tail. Moderate turn of stifle. Would prefer slightly more definition at the hocks. Outercoat is ok for texture. Good undercoat. Moves very soundly. Not just quite as balanced as my main winners, but another good one for sure.

2nd: Wallis Baga’s Morval Nainen Varda At Velrok. I really liked this bitch. Very much my type. Loved her overall make and shape and had she moved slightly better behind and been in coat, she could well have troubled 1st more here. Beautiful head with lovely proportions and slightly tapering muzzle. Super dark oval eyes and wide set ears. Well angulated front. Perhaps just slightly straight in stifle which meant she didn’t quite have the balance of 1st. Not quite so strong in pasterns as 1st. Feet good for shape. Well handled.

3rd: Bright’s Glenchess Satakieli. A slightly heavier bitch than 1st and 2nd, but of a very nice shape overall. Strong in head. Eye shape is oval. Colour could be a shade darker. Ears are wide set and triangular. Neck medium in length leading into very well laid shoulders. Upper arm slopes well and sets forelegs correctly. Good depth and width to ribcage. Topline is firm as are loins. Moderate turn of stifle. Tail set high. Lacking the finish of 1st and 2nd on the day. Moves very well from all angles.

Open Bitch (8,3)

1st: Critchlow’s Ch Pavoskas Ceili JW. A bitch on the smaller end of the standard, but is well proportioned. Delightful head. Skull and muzzle show ideal proportions. Good width through the skull and nice depth and width to the muzzle without being coarse. She has strength but in a feminine package. Gorgeous eyes for shape and set. Ears are medium size and set wide enough apart. They are also well -furred. Wonderful bear like but soft expression. Lovely neck with profuse coat of correct texture. Shoulders are well laid and upper arm slopes enough. More 1:1 in body depth to height ratio than my CC winner. Just about enough daylight underneath her – you really have to feel. Firm topline. Short strong loins. Ideal bone for size. Very well turned stifles and enough definition at the hocks for me. Tail is set high. In wonderful coat and condition. A super bitch who moves so soundly. Just preferred the overall picture, athleticism and scope on the move of my CC winner, but was very close. RCC and well deserved RBIS

2nd: Jackson’s Ch Tikkuturkin Hallantuoma To Elbereth (Imp Swe) ShCM. A bitch who has the desired strength but also with the required femininity. Well proportioned head. Eyes are oval in shape and dark in colour. Ears are set just a tad close together for me, which just gives a slightly different overall expression and gave ground to 1st. Very well put together all through and lovely for bone. Well balanced. Deep chest and shows good width. Firm topline and strong, short loins. Excellent for bone. Tail high set. Really good mover with nice brisk stride where she covered enough good ground. A worthy Champion.

3rd: Collingwood’s Elbereth Lumenlumo. This bitch has a very pretty head. Good muzzle to skull ratios. Her muzzle has good depth and width and she has moderate stop. Lovey dark oval eyes. Ears are wide set and of a good shape. Nice pigmentation for her colouring. Moderate, balanced angulation fore and aft. Good bone for size. Topline is firm. Croup slopes slightly. She carries her tail

up on the move. Coat texture ok. Move very soundly. For me, not quite the maturity of 1st or 2nd in this class.

Good Citizen Bitch ( 5,0)

1st: Thomas’ Elbereth Suvituuli.

2nd: Collingwood’s Elbereth Lumenlumo

3rd: Wallis Baga’s Morval Nainen Varda At Velrok

Brace

1st: Andersons’ Well matched and wonderfully in tune. Well handled.

2nd: Llyods’ Not quite so in unison as 1st, but again a really great presentation here.

Stud Dog

All the dogs here showed some very nice progeny. I just preferred the consistency in type of the winners

1st: Manleys’ Skimarque Talvi Susi

2nd: Samuel’s Oberitz Upponalle

3rd: Clark’s Oberitz Trollnisse at Lumenico

Brood Bitch

1st: Anderson’s Oberitz Aikamoinen For Limishka. A consistent group of progeny and some future Champions amongst them I’m sure.

Special Breeders Team

Both teams were very strong here, but 1st just having the nod for overall quality and consistency. 1st Critchlow

2nd: Allison
