I enjoyed awarding CCs in this lovely breed for the first time. I realise that the ban on docked dogs meant this was not the most representative entry of the breed. I found heads to be varied, a number were rather houndy, strong and plane. Many would benefit from carrying more muscle tone. Good to have some really promising youngsters here.

1st: 2476 STRUTHERS-LAKE, Mrs A & HAYES, M Bacardi del Regno dei Bracchi at Elfrindew

Really promising pup of 8 mths. V good proportions, accurate up and back and had a long, elastic stride. Well chiselled head, planes are ok. Wouldn’t want any more neck. Well laid shoulder with a long well sloped upper arm. Chest to elbow. Topline can firm slightly. Super rear. Pushed v hard but just needs to firm up. RCC & BP

Junior d (3,2)

1st: 2452 BOWLEY, Mrs L Gunsyn Ginspiration

Free moving d. He is slightly too long stood, but shortens up on the move. He has a good head, correct planes. Plenty of neck. He is slightly forward in shoulder and could be firmer in pastern. Firm topline. Lots of hind angulation.

2nd: 2456 HARTLEY, mrs N jakobstown wray of sunshine

Liked his proportions. He is well balanced if slightly too moderate in his angulations. Lengthy and masc head, planes could be better and not as good in head as 1. He has a well filled chest Correct neck. Low hocks. Fairly accurate out and back. He has an even stride and holds a firm topline.

1st: 2447 ANGUS, Mrs L & CRITCHLEY, Mrs M Purdex Showman

Quite a nicely proportioned d who has a long and elastic stride. Prefer his head to 2, masc and well balanced, his planes are ok. Enough neck. Fair shoulder. Deep chest. Holds a good topline. Rear matches his front.

2nd: 2457 HARTLEY, mrs N jakobstown wray of joy

Liked his proportions. He is masc in head, planes could be better. Correct neck. Fair front. Chest to elbow. Topline is firm. Slightly more angulation to his rear than front. Fairly accurate on move.

3rd: 2448 BEECHAM, Miss D GRAFSKOE GNEZDO ARLO (IMP RUS)

Challenging class as they were all quite different, case of balancing virtues.

1st: 2471 SLADDEN, MR I TYRBECHGYN BELIEVE YOU WILL AT CANEMAMANS (JW)

This dog has correct proportions. He is really well muscled up. Head is masc and not too broad. Planes do diverge. Correct neck. Best shoulder in class. He has chest to elbow. Well ribbed back. Correct hind angulation. Slightly untidy in front. Uses his rear v well. Has a decent, balanced stride. CC

2nd: 2464 PALOMBA, Miss G Purdex's Khal Drogo

A very well angulated d, slightly too much hind angulation. He has a masc head.. Planes are ok. Plenty of neck. Just a bit heavy in front. Well ribbed back. Slightly long in back for his leg length. Uses rear well, could also be tidier in front.

1st: 2453 BOWLEY, Mrs L Sobers Cosmica with Gunsyn

Very much a baby but shows such promise. She has a super head. Correct planes and well chiseled under eyes. Correct neck. Fair shoulder, just a bit upright in upper arm and is rather floppy moving in front still. Well ribbed back. V good rear. Just needs to mature in body.

Junior b (4,1)

1st: 2465 PEARSON, Mr S & PEARSON, Mrs C Kelevra Covo Di Ladri

Giving a lot away in age here. She has a super head. Planes diverge. Well chiseled and correct width of skull. Neck is a little upright, shoulder is quite good. Chest to elbow. Well ribbed back.

Super rear, which she uses so well. She still needs to body up and this held her back for higher awards today, but I am sure she will make up. Super profile mover.

2nd: 2451 BOWLEY, Mrs L Gunsyn Gineva

She is slightly longer than ideal, but has a better front than 3. Well proportioned head. Planes are ok. Plenty of neck. Sloping shoulder. Well ribbed back. Good turn of stifle and low hocks. Well muscled up.

2nd: 2477 TITCHMARSH, mrs C & TITCHMARSH, mr M VALCOR SHARA BEY

Quite a shapely b who needs more confidence. Her head is fem and v typical. Neck is ok. Her angulation is moderate and balanced. Firm in topline. Sound mover.

3rd: 2461 KESTIN, mrs M tyrbechgyn hot treacle

1st: 2475 STRUTHERS-LAKE, Mrs A & HAYES, M Elfrindew April Huntress

She is an accurate mover with an elastic stride. Liked her head, well chiseled and right amount of dewlap. Neck is ok. Her front is well made but she is rather slack in feet and pastern. Holds a firm topline, although long in loin. Very well bent stifle with a long second thighs.

First 2 quite similar and not much to separate them.

1st: 2473 SMITH, Miss S & SMITH, Ms L Fancyguns Dancing Queen

She is the slightly better proportioned of the first 2 and holds a better topline. She has a fem head, well chiseled with correct planes. Neck is ok. Good pasterns and feet. Could be cleaner over the shoulder. Well ribbed back. Well made rear. Accurate on the move with a long and elastic stride. Well muscled up. CC & BOB and delighted to see she went G2

2nd: 2450 BOWLEY, Mrs L Sh Ch Gunsyn Everywhere

She is just slightly longer than 1. She has a super head. Correct neck. Well set shoulder. Could be slightly more filled in chest good spring of rib. Well made rear. Liked her length stride. RCC

3rd: 2470 RODEN, Dr R Valcor Princess Padme
