Also, to the exhibitors for the pleasure of your lovely dogs, it was a real honour. We were fortunate to have perfect dog showing weather, along with a big flat ring!

A lovely start to the day, this 10 year old dog really is in amazing condition and fitness. His once rich red colouring has now faded but this does not detract from his overall shape and balance. His outline and sound movement won him the class over other lovely veterans. Loved his happy and outgoing demeanour, a pleasure to judge. Masculine head and soft expression, good depth and ribbing, holding a firm topline, moderate hindquarters. He moves with style and vigour, and true fore and aft. Pleased to award him - BVIB

Another cracking veteran, and at 9 years old looking in beautiful coat and condition. A real cheeky chap who thinks he is 9 months rather than years! Pleasing outline when stood, showing balance and masculinity. Appealing head and eye, with a good length to the foreface. Clean neck flowing smoothly into a firm well held topline. Well boned limbs and tight feet. Moving out with drive, just not quite the precision of winner today

Oh my what a sweet babe, his first show at just 6 months of age. Very raw as you would expect, but has much to admire. He is of a nice overall size and has good substance. Loved his head, so typical, with that pleading look from dark eyes, chiselling below the eyes, and slight dome to the backskull. Just right for depth and spring of rib for his age, well boned limbs and tight feet. Moderate in his hind angulation. A happy chap on the move, a little bum high and loose at present, but it will all come together in time - BPIB

A typical teenager, at 14 months who has a little more range about his outline at present, but still retaining a pleasing outline and of a nice size. Lovely happy go lucky temperament, and attentive to his handler. He has a well proportioned head, with a kind dark eye. Clean through the neck, and holds a firm topline, enough depth and spring to the ribs. Having a good width of thigh. Just needing to tighten up in movement

Shapely outline to this 18 month old dog, his profile is balanced when stood, with good substance and depth all through. Just needing to gain more confidence to show himself off to advantage. Masculine head, of good proportions, showing good chiselling, a dark kind eye. Strong muscular neck, a firm topline, well sprung ribs. Shown in good muscle tone. His true movement won him the class, as he has lovely width behind and true.

Very smart 2 year old dog, who is so clean and sound throughout. He has lovely elegant yet workmanlike body lines, with nothing overdone. Liked his size, substance and masculinity. He has a handsome quality head, which is well proportioned, super dark eye and pigmentation, slight rounding to the backskull and the desired chiselling. His long clean neck flowing seamlessly into a firm topline and well set on tail. Good forechest and spring of rib. Well boned limbs and cat like feet, with nice short hocks. His movement is free and driving and showed himself off with confidence. Presented in a beautiful rich red and white coat - RCC

Another quality 2 year old dog, of a different stamp to winner, very close decision. He has a lovely silhouette when stood, shapely yet compact and with substance. Lovely head, good balance of backskull to foreface, well shaped, and kind dark eye. His strong neck flowing into a well held topline. Super depth and spring to the ribcage. Good width of thigh and well boned limbs. Moving out true with a ground covering action

Really honest 3 year old dog, nothing is overdone, all in proportion and a nice stamp of a dog. Giving the impression of balance and workmanlike. He was giving his handler a bit of a hard time. Masculine head, slight doming to the backskull, dark kind eye. Strong neck, lovely depth to the ribcage and development of forechest. Standing on well boned legs with tight elbows. Holding a firm topline both stood and on the move. Strong quarters with a good width of thigh. A happy and true mover.

Really liked the outline of this dog when stood, he presents such a clean flowing and eye catching profile. Masculine head, with a soft and gentle expression. Lovely length to his clean neck, seamlessly flowing into a firm topline. He has depth and strength to the body. Well off for bone. Strong hindquarters. Holding his outline in profile on the move, not quite as clean behind. Beautifully presented in a lovely jacket

This 4 year old dog, who just commanded my attention from the moment he stepped into the ring, with his super ring presence. One I have judged when he was a youngster just out of puppy, and he has blossomed into a beautiful example of the breed. He has an impressive stature which presents a completely balanced picture. He shows himself off with such confidence and style. Having a masculine and well proportioned head, his whole expression is soft and gentle. He has a lovely flow from nose to tail, well developed brisket and forechest. Strong muscular hindquarters which he used to power around the ring with correct footfall. In total harmony with his handler. Beautifully presented and in full bloom – CC & BOB, delighted to see he was shortlisted in the group

A super dog, who was very close up for the RCC thought him so very smart. Loved his compact outline, so sturdy and workmanlike but nothing is overdone. Lovely head piece, strength to the foreface, dark eyes and he has such a keen and alert expression. Strength in his forequarters, deep and well sprung ribs, short coupled with strong wide quarters. Moving out with precision and parallel behind, just splitting the proverbial hairs for the top awards, wish I had more! Shown in tip top condition, for coat and muscletone

Cracking bitch, and at 9 years young still holds a beautiful profile. She has lovely body lines when stacked, showing to have balance and good proportions. Most feminine of heads, only a small amount of grey showing which added to her endearing qualities. Lovely dark eye, well chiselled, all giving such a kind and gentle expression. She is well developed in the body, with depth and spring to the ribcage. Strong hindquarters, which she used well on the move, just losing her topline a fraction when moving, denying her BV

2nd: 1408 MADELEY, Mrs C M Barhi Flaming Star At Maytag

Another 9 year old, with a super outline, Shapely and compact. She is feminine all through with a lovely flow about her. She has such a gentle expression. Good length of neck, not quite as developed in front as winner. Holding a firm topline, lovely spring to the ribs and short coupled. Strong in the quarters. Free flowing on the move

Litter sister to the MPD winner, and you can see they have many of the same attributes. At her first show at 6 months of age, and enthusiastically enjoying her day, which is lovely to see. She has good overall balance for her age. Head is nicely proportioned, with good chiselling, and a dark eye. Pleasing substance and depth, with well boned limbs, with a good topline and tail set. Not easy to assess on the move, as rather more vertical than horizontal, but showed good width behind and was having fun.

Quality 14 month old bitch, really liked her outline on the stack. She has lovely body proportions, so balanced and unexaggerated. Pleasing feminine head, with good length to the foreface, well chiselled with a dark eye giving a gentle expression. Clean neck flowing tidily into neat shoulders. Liked her depth and spring of rib. Ample width to the quarters. She moves with purpose and drive from the rear.

Lovely shape to this 14 month old bitch, she has super body lines. Today just not showing herself off to full advantage. Having a balanced head shape, eye starting to darken. Good reach of neck, holding a firm topline. Enough depth and rib for her age. Nice sweep of stifle and width to the thigh. Shown in a lovely rich red and white jacket. Moving with a lovely side gait

Her clean neck of good length flows seamlessly into a well held topline and tail set. She has depth and strength through the body. Lovely width and muscletone to her hindquarters. Put down in first class coat and condition. She has a ground covering action, showing lots of drive and that extra sparkle in the challenge to shine to be awarded RCC

Liked the overall shape and size of this 3 year old bitch. She has great substance all through. Pleasing head, with dark eye, clean neck of good length. Lovely spring to the ribs, short coupled. Strong hindquarters. Lacked a little enthusiasm today but with correct footfall. Shown with a gleaming jacket and well muscled

Her strong clean neck flowing into tidy shoulders and a firm topline. She has super depth to the brisket and development of forechest. The ribs are carried well back with a strong short loin. Harmonious in her balanced angulation. Moving with style and vigour. Immaculately presented and in full bloom – delighted to award her CC & BOS

2nd: 1427 RITCHIE, Mrs T C & RITCHIE, Mr A & RITCHIE, Miss D Sh Ch Sarabande Eternity At Slapestones (ai) JW

Smart and Workmanlike bitch, with lovely substance yet retaining her femininity. Appealing head, clean and balanced, with a lovely dark eye and well placed ears. Her strong long neck flowing seamlessly into a firm topline. Lovely spring to the ribcage and forechest. Standing on well boned limbs and tight cat feet. Muscular hindquarters with a good width. She has precise and powerful movement, but unfortunately seems to flag in the final challenge losing her top awards. But a beautiful bitch
