Ladies Kennel Association

Breed: Newfoundland

I would like to thank the committee of the LKA for inviting me to judge Newfoundland’s for them, it was well organised, and I had a very enjoyable day. I would also like to thank the exhibitors for their entries. I found the depth of quality in the breed very encouraging and there were some very promising young dogs and bitches. I think some of the younger exhibits were suffering, due to a lack of training caused by the Covid-19 ‘lockdown’ and the lack of training classes. I had to ask one exhibitor to withdraw two exhibits this was not due to the lack of merit but the fact that I could not assess them properly.
