May I thank the committee for the invitation to judge it was an honour to be asked ! I had the pleasure of going over some lovely dogs therefore a big thank you must go out to the exhibitors for their super entry 178 Dogs making a total of 212 entries also for accepting my judgements coat & condition played a major part in placings today ! May I also thank my Stewards who did a super job !

1st Metcalfe Mr A & Mrs J Baileydale Puff Daddy

6mth Blk of good breed type , appealing head with good eye shape & colour showing softness in expression ,broad in skull with correct ear carriage , strong neck into good lay of shoulders & well boned forelegs , body developing nicely for age ,just drops slightly at tail , but on a whole a lovely youngster , moved steadily BPD & BPIB

2nd Cook Mrs K Exelby Muckle John

Smaller cobby 6mth blk very well off for bone , sweet head with a lovely expression , correct eye colour , short in body , a little overweight for me today , lovely front & rear quarters , ground a bit rough & unlevel were he stood which knocked him off balance at times making his topline look dippy , lovely puppy , enjoyed his day out !

9 mths Blk masculine head not overdone ,kind eye with correct colour & shape , good body proportions , good top coat with correct undercoat ,moved ok just needs to watch weight .

2nd O’Brien’s Mr SJ & Mrs LA Maxfield Hugo Boss

Strongly built Yellow took a while to settle , broad in skull with good eye shape& colour gentleness coming through , deep through chest & body , well boned forelegs onto nice tight feet ,strong neck into well laid back shoulders & strong rear quarters ,hard to assess movement as unsettled on the move which lost him his place .

1st MLellan Mr D N & Mrs S A Saranden Shadeuxplay.

Quality Blk who has the most pleasing of heads ,he has a good width & length of muzzle , clean throughout with correct front & rear quarters , level topline which he held on the move ,correct tail set which he carried well just lacking coat today but what he had was enough to win him the class , moved well around the ring .

2nd Price Pencw Running Man for Rowanhol

Yellow masculine head , good front , strong neck into good shoulders ,good spring of rib , well angulated quarters , tight feet , not in the best coat , moved ok.

Very nice Yellow of good quality , not a big dog but presented a lovely clean outline , has a lovely balanced head not overdone in anyway , correct broadness in skull , enough stop , kind eye with correct colour & pigment . Good front & rear angulation ,level topline ,strong over loin , not in his best coat today moved well when settled .

2nd Hill Mr A F Mrs J F Kimbajak Full Golden Monty of Waggador

Darker Yellow posing a clean outline , good head proportions ,good reach of neck into well laid back shoulders , deep through chest , short in couplings , a bit of a handful for owner on the move .

Quality Blk who took my eye as soon as I saw him he has a super outline & is of excellent breed type , he has the gentlest of heads with correct broadness in skull , correct defined stop , showing so much kindness through eyes , correct ear set super length & width in muzzle ,excellent front angulations , deepness through chest into good spring of rib ,with well boned forelegs onto lovely tight feet , level topline which he held on the move , strong rear quarters with enough bend in stifles , correct double coat that has good depth & texture when you run your fingers through it , well covered otter tail . In excellent condition ! Moved steadily around the ring driving from behind .Very happy in awarding this boy CC & BOB .

Super Blk in excellent condition , pleasing head , with eyes showing kindness & intelligence , correct ear set , he has a good reach of neck into a good lay of shoulders , good depth in chest ,strong hindquarters , lovely tight feet , in good coat with a good otter tail ,moved soundly .

Blk of good breed type lovely head , correct eye colour & shape , broad in skull with correct ear placement, strong reach of neck into good shoulders , well sprung ribcage , strength over rear quarters & well angulated , correct coat moved well .

2nd Baker & Judd Harpitts True Spirit JW

Smaller compact Choc ,pleasing head with correct eye colour & pigment , clean neck into good shoulder angulations, well boned forelegs onto nice tight feet ,he is a well muscled dog ,not in the best coat today moved ok .

Dark Yellow of excellent breed type , presented a beautiful balanced outline , masculine head but not overdone , good broadness in skull with correct ear set correct eye colour ,shape & pigment , strong powerful neck into correct shoulder angles with correct return of upper arm , well developed through chest with plenty of heart room , deep bodied , firm level topline which he held on the move , strong hind quarters & up on pasterns , in good coat with correct under coat .Moved well covered the ground with ease .

2nd Hodgkiss Miss S, Mrs Y & Mrs B Dinnozo Top Notch

My notes say “old fashioned yellow” this boy pleased me very much of super breed type , super head , good body proportions but would prefer a little more length in upper arm , in good condition moved ok .

What can I add to what has already been said about this quality Labrador , has that “ look at me “ when he enters the ring ! Loved his head , masculine but not overdone with soft expression & intelligence coming through , strong powerful neck into well laid back shoulders with the right length of return in upper arm , good depth of chest with a good spring of rib , rear quarters well angulated , strength over loins , topline strong & firm which he held on the move, not in the best coat today , moved soundly around the ring but played up a little today but happy to award him the RCC .

Choc of excellent breed type in hard condition & well muscled ,appealing head with correct eye colour & pigment complimenting coat colour .Strong neck into good lay of shoulders , well boned forelegs onto lovely tight feet , up on pasterns , deep bodied , firm topline , correct tail set , strong back end with good turn in stifles with well let down hocks , correct coat texture ,moved well at one with handler

Love this old fashioned Labrador , head is so soft & gentle in expression ,correct broadness in skull with correct ear placement ,powerful neck into good lay of shoulders with correct return of upper arm , deep through brisket ,plenty of heart room , well sprung rib cage , strong in rear quarters , level topline with correct tail set , not in best coat today , moves free & soundly driving from behind ! sadly not often seen these days in many dogs . Excellent specimen of the breed !

Yellow of good breed type , lovely head & expression ,he is well made , well off for bone ,deep body ,well sprung ribcage , not in the best condition moved ok.

Loved this Choc baby her head is delightful ! Correct eye colour & pigment on one so young which blended well with her coat of correct texture & plenty of undercoat .good front angulations , well boned forelegs onto lovely tight feet .short coupled , enough spring of rib for age , presented a super outline when standing , moved free & soundly I did not hesitate to give her this class today BPB.

2nd Bentley Mrs S Willow Rose For All Seasons.

Pretty Blk of good type , good head proportions , clean neck into good shoulders, ,has good rear angulations with enough bend in stifles and well let down hocks , a bit more length in leg but in proportion with body , moved well .

1st Super Yellow presented a lovely outline , feminine head showing softness with correct kind eye, well boned forelegs onto lovely round compact feet ,she has good reach of neck into good lay of shoulders , has a deep body & good spring of rib ,good coat with correct undercoat and well covered tail ,moved straight fore & aft with ease .

2nd Hoban Mr M & Mrs Meadowleigh Turn Back Time

I liked this choc very much , just preferred head on my winner ,she is very nicely put together has correct eye colour & pigment complimenting her super double coat that has correct feel to it .has a clean neck with good front angulations , compact body ,level topline with good tail carriage ,moved steadily & free .

From the top draw this youngster of excellent quality , everything about her is true Labrador ! she has the most feminine of heads ,an elegant neck placed into correct shoulder placement with good upper arm , she is deep through chest with excellent spring of rib ,strength in hind quarters with good bend in stifles with a good second thigh & well let down hocks , not in the best coat today , moved steadily straight going & coming back just unlucky to meet the older girls today but her day will come !

Another lovely youngster of excellent breed type , darker Yellow ,has a lovely head ,feminine & pleasing with a kind eye , correct colour & pigment , good body proportions with enough double coat , moved ok .

Choc of good breed type in hard condition , head I felt not as feminine as my winner , she has good eye colour & pigment again with most chocs today complimenting coat colour , she has a strong clean neck into good front angles ,deep through chest with good spring of rib ,strong & well muscled hind quarters, moved well plenty of drive from behind.
