Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere with an appreciative sporting ringside which was nice to see. I was very pleased with my winners, I felt the bitches were stronger in depth overall but i had a few males I would have happily awarded a CC to. I did think there is a number of exhibits that lack fill in front and substance under the coat. It’s a gundog and they have a function so bone and strength is important along with their iconic heads and outlines.. it was also nice to see youngsters that have lots of potential which can only be a positive for the breed in the next few years..

1)buff baby, detailed balanced head with square muzzle, full well placed eyes, front nicely under body. Ok ribs, ideally like better tailset, steady mover, needs a bit of confidence on the move but has nice potential

1)balanced blk , lovely head and expression, lean skull with good stop, expressive eyes, plush lips. Masculine with good bone and substance, moderate length of neck, short loin, silky coat, balanced angles, on the go round he holds his topline and tailset well covering the ground, nice type BP

1)parti, good size, bone and substance, masculine head, not overdone, good skull, could have plusher lips, lean neck, ribs of good length. Ideally like a firmer topline on the move, free mover in good condition.

1)blk male, nice skull, expressive eyes, good ear placement, foreface could be shorter. Ok neck, ribs extending well back, prefer him a tad shorter, he really covers the ground well with nice foot placement, in firm muscle tone all through.

1)very smart B/T not big, but good substance all through. Very good front assembly with a forechest which many lack, neat feet, big ribs, holds outline well, positive mover, nice type. Lots to like

2)Parti, masculine dog, plush lips. Well placed large eyes., ideally like a bit more neck. Good bone, ribs, ok topline, outgoing temp. Preferred rear on winner.

JENNINGS-PETTS WOOD NATIONAL TREASURE FOR ALIBAMA (imp Col)

1)lovely class, buff male, lean skull, lovely dark eye, fine well set ears of good length, proportions on head lovely with defined stop, could have plusher lips,excellent forechest, high set withers, straight forelegs with good feet. In profile he has a near perfect topline with a high tailset which he holds at all times, good legs, silky coat, nice type with many good attributes, happy to award him the CC.

2) choc/tan male. A slightly different type to 1, he has a nice front assembly with good return of upper arm and good fill in front, good size, detailed head piece, v positive mover, also holding topline and tail, strong rear. 2 top quality dogs and both worthy Ch’s in my opinion. RCC

BRYANT/NELSON/MORRIS- AM Ch/Sh Ch SILHOUETTE TROUBLING NASAILLEEN WITH MYCALLEYS 

1)blk, very nice balanced dog, well proportioned head, defined stop, lovely crest to neck. Compact body. Good forelegs and feet. Silky coat,could have bit more fill in front, really firm topline and tailset. Covered the ground well and has good animation moving, shown in firm condition, pushed hard for top honours.

1)o/w 9mth feminine well proportioned head, defined stop, front nicely under body, good legs, holds shape with high set tail, lovely profile, just needs time to fill out in body, nice type and will improve more with time. I liked her.

1)super head and exp, plush lips, lovely eyes, compact body, holds her shape so well, well sprung ribs, firm topline. Ideally like more neck to her, feminine throughout..

AL-AZZAWE-BELMILLA KEEP INSPIRING ME

2)once she settles she is very nice, more immature than 1 but still has promise. Super front assembly, good rear. Pretty head and expression, straight forelegs. Short loin, needs to settle in topline but with time I’m sure she will come together well.

MANSER- NASAILEEN SECRET AGENTAT NUJAX

1)2 lovely bitches but this one totally blew me away today, her head is beautiful in every way with a lean skull, square muzzle with plush lips and soft expression, ultra feminine, her shape was exactly what I was looking for with a well made front, already has some fill in chest for a youngster,good length of rib with short loin. Really gassy on the move with a look that demands attention, oozes breed type, flat silly coat. One of the true hallmarks of the breed is their topline and tailset in profile and I could watch this bitch all day the way she picks up and holds her outline. She still needs to mature but that will only improve her further and not only did I have no hesitation in awarding her the CC and BIS today but I feel she will have a great career. Presented superbly 

BRYANT/NELSON-NASAILEEN RAP IT UP

2)very similar to 1, needs to develop in muzzle compared to 1, great topline and tailset. Good legs, short loin, positive mover, good condition along with a nice outgoing temperament, nice to read after she is the littermate to the winner.

1)2 real quality bitches. Her head is so feminine and detailed, lean skull with no throatiness. Long lean neck with a lovely front assembly. Firm topline. Good legs . Brisk bright mover, lots to like but her kennel mate stole the show today! RCC 

JENNINGS- ALIBAMA BROWNIE POINTS

2)smaller bitch but still totally balanced and nice to go over. Square muzzle, expressive eyes, moderate neck, excellent topline, short form loin with high set tail, low hocks, nice type, also covers the ground well. Both worthy CC winners in my opinion.

1)blk, detailed feminine head, lean skull, nicely chiselled . Has fill in front, good legs, silky coat and not overdone in coat, Prefer her fraction shorter in loin. High set tail. Free mover with nice open side gait using her rear well, ideally like her more compact, firm condition.

BOYLE-ZARCREST CHOC ICE

2)lovely shape. More substance all through than 1, nicely constructed bitch with good bone/ arched neck, straight forelegs, low set hocks. Just preferred side gait as carriage on 1. Also a bitch with quality.

1)cut down, so nice to see her shape and outline. Holds her outline. Postive free mover . High set tail. Low hocks. Brisk mover in super condition and can still show the youngsters how the breed should look and move. BVIS

DUMMETT- ALMONDSBURY DOMINO DANCING SH CM VW

2)12yrs and still fit as a fiddle. Detailed head with plush lips/ moderate neck. Good bone and substance. Compact body. Levels off slightly on the mover, real credit to owner.
