Many thanks to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge this group. I must say I had some lovely dogs and could have happily placed others in my shortlist which were the Lhasa Apso, German Spitz Mittel, Tibetan Terrier, Min schnauzer and Shiba Inu. 

BEST : 514 LANGDON, Mr P - Huffish Rewrite The Stars With Atastar (Imp Swe) - POODLE (STANDARD) - Dog

I had the pleasure to judge this dog in the breed recently giving him the top spot then and to be honest he impressed me even more today in a big ring.. I loved his balance and proportions, he has elegance and style with a stallion like appearance, his head has length with no hint of coarseness, a pleasing eye along with a good chin, under his harsh coat he has a developed chest with his legs well under his body, a short muscled loin leading into his excellent rear quarters with his high set tail carried so correctly. He is in fantastic muscular condition throughout. His carriage and style on the move is beautiful holding his shape at all times. One of the nicest dogs I’ve had the pleasure to judge, will watch his career with interest.

RESERVE : 633 LEMON, Mr R - Ch Souska I Need Your Love - TIBETAN SPANIEL - Dog

Another nicely balanced dog, full of breed type with his masculine head piece, well placed bright expressive eyes, good ears, nicely made front with good leg length, he has a level topline and high set tail. Not over-coated and liked his brisk positive movement..

Third: 587 HOWARD, Miss H - Ch Tameron Miss Black Opium - SHIH TZU - Bitch

Caught my attention as she came into the ring with her arrogance and style, under her coat she is sturdy and very well made,a feminine head with good width in muzzle with a slight tilted nose and wide nostrils, deep set body, well proportioned. High set tail, she flows around the ring holding her shape at all times..

4th : 127 CHRISTIE, Mrs J - Ch Sophtspot Gold Dust JW - DALMATIAN - 

This chap kept his handler on her toes, he was up on his toes and no question he could do a days work! A clean outline without coarseness. Well balanced throughout, masculine head with correct ear placement, arched muscular neck.lovely straight forelegs with compact feet,good chest, ribs extend well back, muscular rear with good turn of stifle, a very easy side gait holding his shape at all times

1st : 626 COOPER, Miss C Malia Pumpkin Pie By Susu - TIBETAN SPANIEL - Bitch

This assertive young lady owned the ring today, very well balanced with super confirmation front and back.a slightly domed skull, has good width of muzzle,holds her topline on the move, i liked her proportions along with her positive movement.

2nd : 729 SINCLAIR & BARRON, Mrs A & Mr A A Araki flirty flirtini - TIBETAN TERRIER - Bitch

Lovely G/W bitch, very smart well proportioned bitch, has style without exaggeration, balanced feminine head, large dark eyes, good pigment, a super front with good forward reach. Moderate neck. Compact body, high set tail, like 1 i loved her profile movement.

3rd : 340 DUNHILL-HALL, Miss M Vormund Lady Godiva - JAPANESE SHIBA INU - Bitch

Another quality bitch from this kennel, she is feminine and sturdy,loved her small ears and eyes, so typey in head, has the correct H front with cat like feet. A very light busy mover shown in super condition.

4th : 578 FLACK, Mrs M & HANNAH, Mrs C Mifcahs The Young Pretender - SHIH TZU - Dog 

 The real baby of the 4 but has lots to like and everything is in the right place. Has a good skull with large expressive eyes,broad skull, strong bone with low set body,excellent tail set and carriage, has a swagger to him on the move which i liked. A nice pup.

Masculine dog, square in outline, has straight forelegs with large feet, level topline, short muscled loin, positive sound mover 

2nd : 496 BLEASDALE, Dr K CIRCE DE NOOR Y ALBARRAL (IMP ESP) - POODLE (STANDARD) - Bitch

A well made feminine bitch, lean skull, moderate stop,dark almond shaped eye, well sprung ribs, she really picks up on the move using her rear with good drive. Outgoing temperament.

3rd : 57 SVITANOVA, Mrs M Texas dream boy - BOSTON TERRIER - Dog

Compact dog,masculine head with flat skull, well placed erect ears,moderate neck, deep chest, muscular rump.straight forelegs with a easy and positive moment. 

4th : 602 RAULT, Miss P Cavateena Autumn Whisper - SHIH TZU - Dog 

Nicely balanced masculine male, large expressive eyes, broad skull, short muzzle with good nostrils, ideally like him lower stationed, good bone and substance, level topline. Steady mover, handled well.
