1ST SH CH CHANANGEL STICKY WICKET JW SHCM VW (MRS A CHANDLER)

10 years old and looking superb. With his rich red and white silky coat, he presents a symmetrical and compact outline. He is so well balanced with his long and muscular neck fitting cleanly into his sloping shoulders. He is well angulated without being overdone in any way and his legs sit well under his body giving an excellent return of upper arm. He has strong bone, deep ribs with plenty of spring, firm loin and well set on tail. I loved his head with its soulful expression and the exquisite chiselling below his eyes. His muzzle is strong and ends with wide nostrils and he has the lovely vine leaf shaped ears that are typical of a WSS. His feet are firm and round and he uses them together with his strong hocks to power round the ring. In the challenge he rose to the occasion and showed the presence and attitude that demands top honours. It was my absolute pleasure to award him the C.C.

2ND STEDIGAN ALL IN GOOD TIME FOR MERREM RL1EX SHCM (MR C & MRS K STONE)

I loved this dog for his size and his taut body. He is clearly fit for function, has strong bone and big ribs, a handsome and balanced head and strong neck. He covers the ground well on the move and carries his tail well.

1ST TIGERROCK LIVING ON A PRAYER (MRS C L CLARKE)

A very promising 6 months old who is so very ‘together’ for his age. He has a handsome head with a lovely dark eye giving him a kind expression, reachy neck, good lay of shoulder and length of upper arm, plenty of bone and a good spring of rib. He has wide quarters that he puts to good use to move very well. In the challenge for BPIB he was much more collected than the bitch and I was delighted to see him make the cut in the Group.

1ST TIGERROCK MAGIC ROUNDABOUT NAF (MRS C L CLARKE)

A mature 13 month old with excellent body properties. His head is a tad broad for my preference but his muzzle is strong and straight and his nostrils well developed. He has a good reach of neck but could use a bit more forechest. He has a fabulous rich red and white coat of silky texture and just the right amount of feathering for his age. He is a strong mover with an excellent tail action.

2ND KILLENA SHADOW DANCING (AI) (MRS W A BUCKWELL)

This boy has the best of heads; slightly domed skull, clear stop, medium sized dark eyes, with chiselling below, giving him the most divine expression. He has a firm and level back, good front and pro-sternum and had he used his tail on the move would have taken the class.

3RD TROSLEY TAMOSHANTA (MRS S D JONES)

Special Beginners - Dog

1ST LENAMORE TIGER ROLL (MISS R & MR R BOWD)

He holds a good shape both stacked and on the move, although he is rather proud of his tail. I found his eye rather full for my taste but nevertheless his head is pleasing with well set ears. His front is rather narrow but he has depth and strength in body and is well muscled behind.

1ST CHANANGEL YORKSHIRE GOLD TO SANTALLINA (MR I & MRS D K DOUGLAS)

I loved his size and overall shape showing a strong and compact body, well angulated front and hind quarters, muscular and slightly arched loin and deep second thighs. His head is so very handsome and he has an expression to die for; he looked right into my soul. He is a powerful and strong mover but tends to get away from his handler. If he gets this under control he will go far.

2ND CHANANGEL MR WHODAT AT CHERRYHEATH JW (MISS S BARKLEY)

A taller dog and very well made throughout. Presented in super condition but on the stack he tends to straighten his back end. He moves well with a merry gait.

3RD ISLANZA HEY DUDE (MRS S & MR B R LEACH)

Post Graduate - Dog

1ST MENSTONIA MINSTREL JW (MRS C KNOWLES)

He is not the most masculine of dogs but nevertheless his head is extremely handsome with its soft, dark eye and moderately low set ears. His neck is strong and beautifully arched and flows into well laid shoulders. He has decent bone and a strong topline and good tail set. His coat is rich red and sparkling white and beautifully groomed. His movement could have been more positive behind but that said he was a clear winner.

2ND CHERRYHEATH'S MR MOJITO (MISS S BARKLEY)

A good type, kind eye, lovely return of upper arm and great prosternum. He moves well if not as quick and active as it should be. His markings tend to distract from his straight topline.

3RD LLON DERWENDAR AT GWYNMARREN (MRS P M WREN)

1ST GLENBROWS VAN GOGH FOR BENOVEOR JW (MESDAMES V & J MCILWAINE & REYNOLDS)

His quite solid markings detract from his very good shape and have to be looked past. His head is slightly domed with a clearly defined stop and gorgeous expression. He holds a solid topline, has strong quarters and short strong hocks. If on the first look round at the class he failed to impress he certainly made up for it on the move because this is where he comes alive and looks most impressive. He uses his tail well and is fabulously presented.

2ND TAIMERE'S TALK ABOUT ME (MS R CEMIS)

His head is a bit strong for me but it is balanced and still quite pleasant. He is a good size and it was his sound movement that put him here.

3RD LLON LEWYS AT GWYNMARREN (MRS P M WREN)

This was the best class of the day and I had to make some difficult decisions. I loved both 1st and 2nd for their sheer breed type and the 3rd for his undeniable strength and build to do a hard day’s work.

1ST SH CH FERNDEL HIGH FIDELITY WITH TIGERROCK SHCM SHCEX (MRS C L CLARKE)

He stacks so well and presents a grand outline that flows from head to tail. His head is very handsome and sits on a well arched, strong neck that fits smoothly into his well laid shoulders. He has depth and spring of rib giving plenty of heart and lung room and his loin is muscular and slightly arched. He is presented in fabulous coat and condition and is perfectly balanced all through. I really thought that the top honours would go to first and second here until the veteran came in for the challenge and blew them all away.

2ND SLAPESTONES DIAMOND MINE JW (MRS & MISS RITCHIE & BUTLER)

What a terrific young man this is! He commands attention on the stack and has a very handsome head with a clearly defined stop and kind eye. My final decision was made in the last run off when the winner had the edge in front movement. He must have a very bright future.

3RD ISFRYN SPOT THE DIFFERENCE TREBETTYN ( WILLIAMS)

1ST BOWDONIA OZZIE (MRS H & MR A BROWN)

A super dog, strong in body with plenty of bone, a handsome head and neat cat like feet. He has plenty of heart and lung room, a straight front and puts his tail to good use on the move.

2ND ISFRYN PEEPING TOM JW (MS T SMITH)

This dog epitomises the characteristics of the breed; strong, merry and very active. I was so glad to see him here today; he makes me smile.

3RD HELGEN ROMEO THE LOVER FOR FLYBORON (MRS T BENNETT)

1ST AMBLELIGHT ROSE (MRS M A BOWMAN)

What a super bitch for size and shape. She is built for hard work and has fabulous muscle tone. She has a pleasing head but lacks chiselling although her expression is lovely. She was quietly handled and moved as a Welshie should.

1ST TIGERROCK LIT DE ROSES (TAF) (R J CASEY)

What a little poppet and litter sister to the winner of MPD. She is a good shape and has legs i.e. not short in leg but not leggy. So very pretty with a head that has lovely chiselling. She is straight in front, has wide quarters and stands on neat feet. Moved steadily carrying her tail well.

1ST BUSHWACKER ALL ABOUT EVE (MRS J HOWARTH)

She is beautiful on the stack and has a typical WSS outline that she holds on the move. Another beautifully chiselled head with a strong muzzle. She has moderately angled hindquarters and deep second thighs. She beat her half sister in maturity today but lost out to her half brother in the challenge where she was rather unsettled.

2ND TIGERROCK LIT DE ROSES (TAF) (R J CASEY)

Junior - Bitch

1ST GILSTONIA SNOW MOON (MRS G COOPER)

She was the least unsettled of these three bitches today. I appreciate that many dogs have not had the socialising that they normally would have had and so I did make allowances. She has a pretty head with strong muzzle, nice eye and clear stop. Clean over the shoulders and stands on neat feet. Moves well with good tail carriage.

2ND JULITA RAINDANCE AT TEASELWOOD (MRS B M FERGUSON)

A very raw youngster but she carries a good outline and moves well. Nice head.

3RD JULITA RAINBOW (MRS J & MRS J REVILL & TAYLOR)

1st in Junior

2ND TUTTINGTON SCARLET EMPRESS AT ARDINIA (MRS J & MRS F JACKSON & PALMER)

This lovely girl was rather unsure of herself today. She has great body proportions with strength and good angulation. Her hindquarters are strong and muscular and she carries a lovely silky coat of good colour. Her head is so feminine with a very kind eye. She will get there.

Graduate - Bitch

1ST PAMICKS JAZZY AH GIRL (MR M L & MRS P TEW)

So compact and symmetrical in shape, she is clearly built for endurance. She is more heavily marked than my other winners and has a typical Welshie head with a strong muzzle. She totally out moved the competition as she powered round the ring displaying plenty of push and drive.

2ND JULITA RYVEETA JW (MRS J & MRS D REVILL & MONDAY)

She has a straight front, good return of upper arm and is clean in shoulder. I would have preferred just a tad more length in leg.

3RD TUTTINGTON SCARLET EMPRESS AT ARDINIA (MRS J & MRRS F JACKSON & PALMER)

Post Graduate - Bitch

1ST CHANANGEL YORKSHIRE ROSE (MRS A CHANDLER)

She carried no furnishings today so what I saw was what I got; a very well made bitch with excellent angulation, good bone and a strong topline. I loved her head with its soft eye, slightly rounded skull, chiselling and strong muzzle. Very well handled and moves with an excellent foot fall.

2ND NYLIRAM TWIST AND SHOUT WITH BARHI (MS F M BARNES)

On first look round I thought this would be my winner. She has the strength of build, excellent topline and well developed quarters that I look for in a WSS. On closer examination I preferred the head and eye of the winner.

3RD BENOVEOR GALWAY GIRL (MESDAMES V & J MCILWAINE & REYNOLDS)

Limit - Bitch

1ST ISFRYN LADY GODIVA AT FIREGLOW JW (MISS R WALLER)

I found it hard to separate 1st and 2nd and now I see why! They are both typical of the breed presenting a true Welshie outline with great proportions being neither too long nor too square. They have well proportioned leg length, good bone and substance, pretty heads and sound quarters. The winner had the edge in movement today and put on a great performance to take the RCC.

2ND ISFRYN LADY GREY OF GILSTONIA (MRS G COOPER)

3RD CRIMICAR SHE'S ELECTRICK WITH TIGERROCK JW (MRS C L & MRS T CLARKE & SHERLOCK)

1ST SH CH BUSHWACKER SOMETHING ABOUT MARY (MS J K FROST)

Just what I was looking for. The standard calls for a dog that is obviously built for endurance and hard work, a quick and active mover, displaying plenty of push and drive. She has it all from her beautifully moulded head to her perfectly set on tail. She has depth in brisket and big ribs giving her plenty of heart and lung room and she is a lovely size. Her head and expression are exquisite; she has that Welshie look in her eye. This should not be a ‘weedy’ breed, the standard has the words strong and muscular in it 4 times and moderation is also called for. Her coat is silky and rich red and white and beautifully presented to compliment her lovely shape. She goes away showing a clean pair of heels and coming to she is straight and accurate in her foot fall. Her profile movement shows her terrific conformation and great forward reach. In the challenge she held her topline better than the dog and so I awarded her BOB. I was thrilled to see her make the cut in the Group.

2ND FERNDEL FOOLING STAR (MR J S THIRLWELL)

A taller and rangier bitch but she has substance and great style. I absolutely loved her head and although lacking feathering her coat was in good condition. She was so very well and quietly handled.

3RD SH CH JULITA RUMOURS AT TROSLEY (MRS S D JONES)
