Scottish Kennel Club

Breed: Border Collie

Thank you to the committee of SKC for this appointment. It wasn’t the best weather, that was in the lap of the Gods, and the ring could have been more spacious. There were a few dogs that were physically unable to show how they could really move in the circumstances, overall the quality was good with few overweight dogs.

MPD 2(1)

1. Austin/Zolakova’s Huntly Forged in Steel for Hysteps (IKC). Nicely presented puppy of just 6 months, pleasing expression with dark eye, nicely angulated all through with steady top-line and good croup. A little strong in the head for me but he moved out well soundly in all directions, covering the ground with ease.

PD 3(1)

1. Broadhurst’s Rosehurst Royal Sunset. Well made young man of 8 months with lovely head and expression, dark eye. Soundly made all through with strong, level top-line and good croup, short loin. Felt this ring didn’t allow him to show himself to advantage, presented in good coat and well muscled condition.

2. Mayston’s Miraje Winter is Coming (AI). Preferred body proportions of 1, but this young dog of 11 months had a kind expression and was well balanced throughout, good neck and shoulders, strong top-line, he moved well in profile and was presented well.
